Group BCC email - Is it Possible? - Microsoft Lumia 950/950 XL

Another issue that we used to be able to do in Windows 8.1 missing from Windows 10 mobile:
if you want to send an email to a group, the group goes into the address fields in the email account that you choose, but if you try and move all those contacts into the BCC field, they will not email addresses or hyperlinks.
Any thoughts or workarounds to get the group to enter into the BCC field instead of the regular outgoing fields?

Sending Email to Distribution Lists

Hello fellow users
Is there something like email to "Distribution List" or "Category" that I've assigned a whole bunch of Contacts to??
I have been using my T-Mobile MDA VARIO for several months now but still can't workout if there is a way to simply email using a POP3 email account to more than one recipient.

thanks for your wise words,

thanks for your wise words,
Click to collapse
Interesting...I didn't realize the feature was missing until you pointed it out.
Here's a temporary workaround (don't have much time to sit and search for a freeware addon):
1. Create a new contact named as the group name you'd like to use (say "Development Team")
2. Enter all the e-mail addresses for your distribution list within the "e-mail" tag of this new contact, placing a semicolon ( ; ) between all addresses.
3. When you go to create a new email, enter the group name you just created and the email field should automatically fill with all the addressees (I tried with two, there may be a limitation)
glhs509,
Thanks for the TIP.
I've found there is a limit at 247 characters which works out at 6 - 7 email address' for me so not much scope for large distributions.
For more than 247 characters I've ...
1) on my PC created a temporary email to the distribution list
2) Expanded the name to show all email address
3) Copied into notes section of a new contact.
4) on my PPC I can sink the new contact and it just takes a copy and paste of the contact notes into a new email 'To' box.
Not great but a lot better than adding one at a time. So thanks
I would really like to sync my contacts with the distributions in outlook on my PC so if anyone knows how to, please fill us in 

Online Address Book in WM6.1

Anyone use the online address book feature of the messaging program? I want my contacts from my different email sources. I could type them into outlook but would prefer something more automatic. Open up a messaging account like Gmail then choose menu - tools - options. Then the 3rd tab is address. Try to add an address book. Thanks
I had seen some tool, can't remember name!
It's allow to synchronize your contacts with internet!
So you can easy recover all your data, even if you PC will be formated

I think I am asking the question wrong. What I was hoping to do was to use my contacts I have on gmail or yahoo. When I type an email on my phone the only contacts I can pull up are the ones in my contacts under outlook.
Now I could copy the email accounts but the nice feature of Yahoo and Gmail (and many other email accounts) is that they will automatically add new addresses.
Now back to my original question. On our phone is a place to put a server address for an online address book. Anyone use this feature to tap into either yahoo or gmail address book?
Thanks

Reply-To in Leo's outlook

Hi. I noticed that when I reply to an email that has a reply-to address different from the
sender's address, my reply actually goes to the sender, not the reply-to address. This
makes me unable to use the reply-to-comment feature of facebook because their
notification email will have a reply-to address that links to the comment.
It seems outlook doesn't see the reply-to tags in emails. Does anyone know how to make the
outlook able to see the reply-to tags in emails?
Thanks.

How to email a group of contacts???

Maybe I'm overlooking this but isn't there a way within the gmail client on phone to select a group to email all at once?
Seems simple like in messaging (Handcent) when you create a message it gives the option to select an individual contact or a group of contacts from your gmail account.... but I can't seem to find this feature within the phone's gmail client? There's a group of 5 people I email very often and and have them in a contact group on my google account but I hate having to enter each one by one!
Was just wondering where I'm going wrong or if anyone knows the trick?
Thanks
**Edit: Having the same problem within the google voice client on the phone as well, can't select multiple contacts to sms at the same time.....

[Q] Where do I find the email address history in Windows Mobile 6.5?

My email retains the email addresses of ALL of the emails that I've sent or received. This includes those not in my contact list. When I start a new email they appear whenever I type the first letter in the "To" or "cc" fields. How can I delete these? Does anyone know the name of the file where they are stored? Thanks.
Fixed it.
I still haven't found where it's pulling the email address history from, but it can be turned of with the following registry edit.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Inbox\RecipientAutocomplete]
"MaxSuggestions"=dword:0
Mine was set to 4. After changing it to 0, presto-chango! No more email address autocomplete frustration.
