I installed the TWRP (TWRP 2.8.7.0 SM-J110M) recovery using Odin but when i try to enter it, pressing Volume UP + Home + Power, my phone goes into the stock android recovery. Am I missing something? What key-combo did you used? I have a Galaxy ACE J1 (SM-J110M). Thanks in advance.

SM-J110M not worked

I noticed, under developer options, USB debugging can not be set on or off (seems inactivated from fabric)
Does this affect why I can not root my device?

Finally I reinstall stock firmware from SAM Mobile, but same results. somehow trying to install TWRP is refused when entering recovery mode.
If I disable in Odin reboot option and carefully enter to recovery avoiding the system to restore the old recovery, It will no enter recovery mode until I let the phone show the telco logo and then I get original recovery.
As something new I noticed USB debugginf ius disable to turn it ON/OFF. This is a mobile phone in a company plan with the local telco. Maybe it is restricted to root or to install another firmware.
I give up... I appreciate comments on this...

when you finish the flash of the TWRP file for J110M you must be hold the vol up and home until the phone reboot twice, the second reboot enter to the TWRP mode

I have the j110m and the way to get TWRP to work is to try both versions. 3.0.0.0 got stuck on the boot and never got me into recovery it always went to the provider logo. I tried the other one (2.XX) with ODIN, had auto reboot ticked off, and just like the guy above said wait till the second boot. Voila
---------- Post added at 04:48 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:45 PM ----------
by the way, is there any chance in seeing Cyanogenmod on this? Im looking and looking but I cant find anything. Just one post where some guy wants to port CM 12 but no one has responded to his post yet.

[Q] Root Tab 4 SM - T331 (Lollipop)

I have tab 4 sm - t331 with android 5.1.1 and i rooted it but somehow it's failed because supersu wont install binary update and anyone can help me root the devices ?
Answers :
=>Use the one from here called sm-t331-Philz-6_58_9-recovery-FINAL.tar
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=23544
Download to your PC the Philz recovery tar file for the SM-T331 from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-...-smnu-t2980094
Download to your tablet the SM-T331 rootable kernel from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-...table-t3164499
Download to your tablet the supersu v2.52 zip from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/apps...v2-05-t2868133
On your PC run Odin. Boot your tablet into download mode (home, vol-, power) and connect to PC with USB. In Odin disable the auto-reboot option, this is important. Flash the recovery. Once it's done flashing, you must boot your tablet into recovery (home, vol+, power), it should be Philz Touch CWM recovery. In recovery, first install the kernel zip, then the supersu zip. It might help to wipe cache at this point, I honestly can't say for sure. Obviously make sure you're doing this with at least 50% battery

Help Root Samsung S5 5.0 SM-G900H baseband G900HXXU1BOL2 BUILD # LRX21T.G900HXXS1BPD2

Hello, I need help to rooting my phone. I am currently using Samsung Galaxy S5 model number SM-G900H with Android version 5.0, Baseband version G900HXXU1BOL2 , Kernel version 3.10.9-5852541, Build Number LRX21T.G900HXXS1BPD2, and KNOX 2.3.
I've follow many tutorials on how to root my S5 but with no luck... it always get boot stuck after flashing CF-Auto-Root-k3g-k3gxx-smg900h.tar.md5 using ODIN3-v3.10.6. What else could be wrong ?
Some S5s don't like CF AR
Copy SuperSU.zip to your phone/microSD
Flash TWRP with ODIN (Uncheck Auto reboot first in ODIN)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2725939
Once it completes the flash, disconnect the USB, and pull the battery to power off the phone
Replace the battery, and immediately boot into recovery with Volume Up & Home & Power
Flash SuperSU
Reboot (If asked to root again from TWRP after flashing SuperSU, say NO)

I did all the step above but after flashing twrp-k3gxx.tar , remove the battery and entering recovery mode, nothing is change there, it just entering the original recovery mode. Do twrp-k3gxx.tar is the correct version for my SM-G900H ?

What happen if I just flash SuperSU directly via ODIN ?
Did you put the phone in download mode, and did ODIN show a connected COM port at the top?
Did it say successful flash?
Try leaving Auto Reboot checked and do it again, let the phone reboot, and then try booting into recovery
You can't flash SuperSU from ODIN, it's a zip file, not an ODIN flashable .md5 or .tar

Yes I did put the phone in download mode, and ODIN show a connected COM port, i know how to used it and succesfully flashing the twrp-k3gxx.tar, pull the batt out and back in, boot in to recovery mode and nothing is happen... i just entering the stock recovery mode. it is like something overwrites the custom recovery right just before the phone boot up.
I think it is likely that Root image doesn’t seem to worked with the newest Android software update version, or maybe Samsung might also try to released some patches to the Android system that might prevent from customizing ?
I also tried to flasing CF-Auto-Root-k3g-k3gxx-smg900h.zip but it soft-break my phone so i have to flashing back to stock rom (luckyly i have download it before)
Stuck with the same issue. Plenty of Auto Root tutorials are available. Each one specifies that tutorial is exclusive to particular model number. G900HXXUIBOL2 is my build number. Once installed CF Auto Root. When verified via Root Checker, it showed success and got root access !!..But Couldn't enter recovery mode since then..was getting stucked in boot loop when trying to enter recovery mode. Had to restore stock ROM...Really frustrated with Samsung's UI. Wish I could change to Cyanogenmod..Any help would be really appreciated..Thanks in Advance

Kingroot is always bad for your device.
1) Flash your firmware in the AP slot of Odin.(Using one from sammobile.com is recommended and flashing firmware does not overwrite your data.)
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-G360H/
2) Flash this TWRP here in Odin (AP slot):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=65386115
3) Flash the SuperSU installable zip(not the app) to root from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=68475511
(By the way, before rooting by any method, make sure "OEM Unlocking" is switched on in Developer Options in Settings or you will likely trip Factory Reset Protection in your device and get locked out, though this is also fixable.)
4) Never select "Reboot to Recovery" from anywhere on your Core Prime device. It will cause a recovery loop.
Odin does not detect my mobile. I have download usb drivers also.

Which TWRP are you trying to flash?
If it is the latest version, then try an older one.
Alternatively, you can try to root your phone first with CF-Auto-Root and Odin (just Google CF-Auto-Root S4) then use an app to flash the TWRP .img file.
That's how I did it, because I was also unsuccessful in flashing TWRP with Odin.

The app method worked. Auto root ok. Twrp flashed ok. HTC 6 installed... it's more than one hour in the booting screen (devconnect aosp 6.0 screen)... I don't think it's a normal behaviour... do I have to keep on waiting? Do You have any suggestion?

I have the same phone. It took me a long time to get a twrp file that worked. Also I am using a custom rom called Nemisis Refined with the Prime kernel and I love my phone. There is a different kernel you can you use too but I haven't tried it yet its called Spacelemon.

sm-n910s is trelteskt
thanks for the info , it helped me a lot ,
one note i need to mention , for those of you trying to flash it using odin , un-tick the auto reboot option in odin , because this will cause the phone to reboot normally , and this will remove the custom recovery ,
you just need to reboot is manually after flashing it, just remove the battery , then boot immediatelly to recovery mode by pressing power + home + volume up
if you do it correctly , custom recovery will install it self permanently on your phone ,
