totally touch screen

Hallo everyone and happy new year.
I'm searching for a software that totally disables the phisical keys in front of the hd2 such as in toshiba tg01.(tg01 never had phisical keys, I know)
Is this possible? Or I am crazy?
Italian newsgroups think that it's very hard.

Well you could use AE Button Plus to make the volume buttons not work, but it doesn't work for the 5 buttons below your screen.
But lol why would you want that anyway xD

So, Thanks for your answer.
I need this because I frequently put my phone in my jeans and frequently
on-off key turn on the light of the phone even though it is locked, and I see that battery reduces

So if you disable all the buttons, how do you expect to turn the screen on?
Buy yourself a case or pouch so that you stop pressing buttons in your pocket. Either that, or stop fiddling about in your pockets - it'll turn you blind

well, it's possible rotating or with accelerometer or with a little touch back, but I think it's not impossible because i have had toshiba tg01 and it has no hd keys but it's full touch.
Yes the pouch is a good idea and hd2 has its own pouch in bundle with the phone but the pouch is too large for my jeans.

So as well as wanting software that locks the hardware buttons, you want software that unlocks the phone with a given gesture of your choice?
I hope you find what you're looking for mate. Personally, I'd just use the pouch and buy some bigger jeans

but wouldnt it drain the battery as well if you had a program that runs in RAM and would look for the gestures you make (maybe accidental by moving yourself) and compare them with that one that unlocks the screen all the time?

Seriously. After that, we'll have some people *****ing and crying because their battery drains too fast and memory gets full so easily.

Someone's just posted a "shake to wake" style app in the themes and apps forum. You now just need a way to lock the buttons when the screen's off and you're done!

Yes, it's possible, but in Toshiba tg01 it was automatic with no program in ram so I think it will be possible for hd2 with a new cooked rom that excludes
hd keys.
If my memory isn't bad something like this was made for htc diamond.

hd2 front camera

Hi Guys,
I was wondering if anybody knows how to get the front camera working.
When I use fring for vid calls I get the back cam to work...but thats difficult to be seen. I was wondering if anybody has a work around for the front cam with fring?? or any other software.
Thanks in advance guys.
cheers
HD2 doesn't have a front camera...
ähm, there´s no front cam at the hd2
Someone is a little off on their spec list...
He probably saw the ambient light sensor hole and assumed it was a front facing camera. Looks very similar to the one on the evo.
What you're seeing is the proximity sensor.

Rogers S3 - Motion Stuff + Palm Swipe doesn't work at all

Hello,
Just picked up my 16GB S3 and none of the motion stuff works including the Palm Swipe. I can't even take Screenshot with Home + Power?
I followed you tube instructions and on how to swipe etc, but no go. The only thing was that the batt was at 10%, I am charging it now but is this a power issue? or do I have a broke piece and if yes, is it the s/w or the h/w issues
EDIT: I was waving my hand instead of kissing it over the screen. I did the tutorials for the motion and they work as well
Hi
Hi there, I have the same problem. Did you figure out why? I can't save any pictures at all!
It does work for me . ACtivate the motion and the Palm swipe to capture. You need to put the side of your on the screen from left to right.
hmm, the easiest one to check is the screenshot or the auto contact call one, turn it on. go to messaging app and open a thread with someone you are texting and just put the phone to your ear, it will auto dial the person.. try that one
I think there are some bugs with the SGH-I747M. I have tried on 4 different phones and none of them allow the palm screenshot
Also the tap to top only works on a couple apps
Sent from my SGH-I747M using Tapatalk 2
I had problems too until I found out the you DON'T use your palm. You have to swipe from right to left with the side of your hand (karate chop basically ). After I figured that out it has been working without problems. It's a little tricky taking a screenshot with home+power as you have to do it with perfect timing for it to work, but once you figure that out it's pretty simple. Not as easy as my iPad though but still fairly easy now.
Hope that helps
Screenshot with the power and home button need to be held down until it takes the picture. Don't just hit them quickly.
With the motion screenshot your karate chop hand needs to touch the screen as your swiping from right to left.

The palm screenshot thing isn't even worth using since you have to be touching the screen to do it and it always manages to change things on the screen while you are trying to swipe your hand across to screenshot. Home+Power works a lot better.

whoops , i did honestly think that the pin hole on the top right was a camera. i have a case around the phone so couldnt really tell.
Ok so in that case what is the top right used for? im charging the phone at the minute and it is further to the right than the green led????

The home buttons, as they are now, take up way too much space. And, you can pull a Pixel or OnePlus 5T out of a pants pocket and have it already unlocked before you can even find the button on the front of a phone.
All comes down to ergonomics. Just makes more sense on the back.

For my thumb, it is.
Using a long phone like this and trying to use a thumb to unlock it while gripping it may just make me drop the phone. The index finger on the back makes more sense as I'm already grabbing the phone naturally. My index finger can reach the back fp sensor naturally, but I need to move my thumb downwards to reach a front fp sensor and if the phone is long, I need to shift the phone upwards so my thumb can reach the bottom of the phone. Trying to adjust the phone using one hand in order to reach the front fp sensor makes no sense to me.
Of course a front fp sensor makes most sense for unlocking the phone on the table, no doubt about that. But I can always use double tap to wake and unlock it using pin or pattern. And if the phone is near me, I can just look at it to face unlock.
