0) You need PLK-L01 EU Phone!
1) You need stock firmware installed B121 or B140
2) You need stock recovery installed
3) You need full stock without any changes in the firmware files.
3.1) You need UNrooted phone!
4) delete all app from SD card
5) download upgrade package for you FW version
6) rename it to update.zip
7) copy update.zip to SD card in to dload folder
8) start local update from the settings menu.
Things to look out for:
it will not perform the update on a modified system
if you have never rooted it should be fine..
TWRP will no longer function until someone builds a new version
THERE IS NO WAY BACK!! Right now you cannot go back to LP, you cannot change your mind, cannot root and cannot use twrp, think before you upgrade to a BETA firmware...

You should be able to upgrade from 121 using the 121->313 package

I don't think so since you have package with B121 > B313 update. Did you create the folder before? And was the update package in .zip?

[UPDATE] DEODEX+ROOT - it`s easy!

For all, who want to DEODEX and ROOT their SGA.
Thanks to the Russian folk-author finist1 every owner of the SGA can easily, without having any additional knowledge, without using a computer perform the procedure of DEODEX and ROOT.
Read carefully before do anything.
Step by step procedure:
0. you must have already installed the appropriate firmware version.
1. download zip-file appropriate to your firmware version.
2. copy zip-file to the root of your SD-card.
3. connect your phone to an external power source (USB, for example) because update fairly large and long established.
4. boot into recovery mode (Home + Power)
5. navigate with volume button, then select wipe data/factory reset (so before do anything - back up personal data)
5. navigate with volume button, then select apply update from sdcard
6. select your zip-file
7. navigate with volume button, then select reboot system now

all these updates are only for european version of firmware. For region XX. If you can, you must modify updates for you region, but you need original firmware for this. If something goes wrong you allways can flash original firmware with the help of ODIN.

Just delete these .apk from zip. I use Total Commander for this operation.
You can include your apps to update:
1. Install your app to SD
2. Copy lib and apk of installed app
3. Paste these files to the system path of update
4. Use your update from recovery mode.
But you must understand that the place in the systems is not unlimited.
You can even do separete update for your apps. For example attached update will add to you system apps Puffin Web Browser.

You can use the search on the forum or by Google in order to find out what is deodex and why you need it.
If you do not know why you need it, then most likely you do not need it at all.)
Before Deodex i have only 13 MB free memory in system folder when i deodexed i have 32 MB free memory in system folder. Check with root explorer.
Lovetz..I did it..but i m nt software professional..so couldnot understand..so..pl if u can tell me in brief..it will nice of u..

Have you do a wipe before you make update?
Any way If you just flash clean KPH you have ~150 Mb of free space.
If you wipe and then use this update, then you have ~135 Mb of free space.
And this is normal.

Titanium backup issue

I'm trying to create an 'update.zip' file to flash after installing a new rom. The problem is, it doesn't actually create a zip file. It just duplicates every file in the backup folder.
Any ideas?

I apologize. I should've clarified. I'm trying to create an update.zip file that contains all of my backed up apps, via Menu/Batch actions, under Recovery mode. It's narrative says, 'Create "update.zip" from app+data backups'. I assumed this would do what I was thinking it would do.

Let's call it a bit of confusion on my part. Not necessarily unwarranted though, because it places both update.zip files outside of the TB folder. Since everything I've had it back up to this point was dumped in the TB folder, I never thought to look elsewhere.
As for the extra files... let's chalk that up to me seeing things?

Ah...yes you are correct. Both instances will create an "update.zip" on the 'sd card' of the phone outside of TB. What I do is edit the name to something like appsupdate.zip for the apps and left the other update.zip alone.

I attempted it a few days ago when coming from 4.2.2 to 4.3. It didn't go very well lol. It would flash the appsupdate.zip, lets say, and I see the apps get flashed, but, my recovery would reboot the phone. Bottom line it didn't work for me at that time. I'll try it after lunch to see how it functions when I have root and the phone is happy and stable lol.
What I did was just download TB from the play store and restored my apps from my backup folder once I got root again.

LOL! Sorry I had too. Someone needs there Coffee You copy the rom to your phones storage like where your pictures,Music, and stuff are at. They didnt say anything about a storage folder.
and 2. Download an app called reboot recovery in the market place
You should be cautious when flashing anything if you were looking for a "Storage" folder.

LOL I know, I feel like a total noob for even asking. I have to have instructions literally step for step or else I lose confidence and don't follow through. I'm coming from an SGS2 that I rooted and messed with for the 1st month and never flashed anything since, so I'm pretty much starting over with this ROM stuff. Thanks for the help though!
EDIT: I'm gonna ask another noob question: Do I copy just the img file or the META & System folders too?

Dude! Never be afraid to ask (but if the answers are on the website and you didn't do a proper search, expect flame on!).
Anyway, assuming you are on AT&T, you should have downloaded a file called CleanROM-1.1.zip . If you didn't get that one, go here http://www.scottsroms.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=464 and download it. Check the MD5 to ensure the file is not corrupt. Do not unzip the file! Just transfer the file onto your phone - it doesn't really matter where, just remember where you put it. Then reboot into recovery (assuming you have already installed TWRP) using whatever app you like (I prefer GooManager), click Install, navigate to the rom you just put on your phone and you're good to go.
Good luck!

Just downloaded the file and put on my tablet. No way to update via fastboot.
Tried to download original stock from and flash from fastphone. OK then put easyimage both on sd and internal memory as well. Changed int code to de. Tried to update again to lollipop but still install fail at first 98%.
Then tried to setup again stock fw, wipe cache/memory, set it code to de and flash again lollipop. Install fail again at 98%.
Really don't know what to do now. Could you help me?

Could be a corrupt zip. Bad thing is we don't have a checksum file for it, so no way to double check it. ?
And I still haven't had a chance to look it over yet...
From my LG-G3 running Jasmine7.0/SkyDragon kernel 4.1
I've updated twice through the update.zip, i've just checked the hashes and they should be
MD5: 7D8504AB9CB1A114BE8705CBADECC296
SHA-1: 0B843D584F39801AA4B7E18A4870A0EEC8E07BA7
If your hash is different try re-downloading, otherwise it's possible my upload was corrupt or the mediafire mirror someone created.

unable to install B05 OTA update

So im trying to install the new BO5 update but when it finishes downloading if i click on update it will just go back to the settings without doing nothing. What should i do? i currently dont have an sdcard to the manual install
Download it from here: http://www.ztedevice.com/support/detail?id=9824F5AD299B49D8A2EE4227CFB0DB8A
Put it on internal sd card and click check for updates. You must unzip it first I think
Or this link: http://dl1.ztems.com/zxmdmp/downloa...es/HK/ZTE/ZTE A2017G/372555/fota_B16MR_B18.up
Download, rename to update.zip and place it in your phone.
i tryed but it keeps on update(0sec) and even if i click there it does nothing

In the zip is a folder and in this folder is the update.zip. Save the update.zip to the SD card. Then go to the settings of the phone and select Updates and the update appears and can be installed.
