[GUIDE] Mega Unbrick Guide for A Hard Bricked OnePlus X - OnePlus X General

A Big Thanks to @Synthio for providing me these files.Without his help, this guide wouldn't have been possible at all.
Hi Peeps !!
A hard bricked OPX has nothing but a black screen (nothing ever comes on the screen, not even a boot logo ), it might vibrate when a power button is pressed and held for 20 seconds, has no Recovery partition, no adb mode, and no fastboot partition. The device might be detected in Linux and you might be able to even send commands to it. In Windows, the bricked OPX should be detected as QUALCOMM-HS USB Diagnostics xxxx. You might have a bricked OPX as a result of flashing a kernel meant for a different device (or a ROM meant for another device that included a kernel), tinkering with the boot logo or bootloader, or your attempt of unlocking the bootloader resulted in corrupting the boot partition.
The solution for OPX hardbrick is similar to OPO and OP2 - you just need a Qualcomm driver and a recover package.
So,here we go !!
Step 1 :- DOWNLOADS :-
1.) Drivers :- https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347799753 (Extract these files to a folder on desktop.)
2.) Recovery Tool :- https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B3gqVK2lYqBiY1M2NjRjVllvYXM&usp=sharing (Download all files inside this folder and put them in a folder on desktop.)
Step 2 :- If you are using Windows other than Windows XP,turn off Driver Signature Enforcement. To do so,follow this guide :- http://www.howtogeek.com/167723/how...8.1-so-that-you-can-install-unsigned-drivers/
Step 3 :- Press the power button for 40 seconds to turn off the phone.
Step 4 :- Press only volume up button for 10 sec and while keeping it pressed, connect OPX to PC.Hold volume up until your PC finds a new hardware .
Step 5 :- Go to device manager in your PC, find the new "QUALCOMM-HS USB Diagnostics xxxx" device or something like this (It must be Unknown Devices as QHUSB_BULK or under COMs and Ports as Qualcomm xxxx). Update its driver in property page using the Qualcomm driver provided (for 32bit windows, select x86 folder; for 64bit windows, select x64 folder).
Step 6 :- After installing the drivers,"Run As Administrator" the MSMDownloadToolV2.0 in the recovery tools folder.
Step 7 :- Click start at top left corner and wait for it to finish (Download Complete will come)
Step 8 :- Disconnect phone from PC and boot into system.
Now you can again do anything you wish to (unlock bootloader, etc). To unlock bootloader,go to developer options and tick "Enable OEM Unlock" first.
When you will need this guide ? :-
1.) If your phone is totally black (no racism)
2.) When you have locked the bootloader by mistake . (This happens when you flash a rom without having oem unlocking enabled.)
PS:- This method will wipe all data and restore your phone to OxygenOS and English Bootloader.
Thanks.

When i try to connect on the PC, just two drivers are showed to me:
-Gionee HS-USB Diagnostics (COM5)
-Qualcomm MMC Storage USB Device
I can enter in ADB mode, but i have no way to acess the internal storage...

when u installed the rom did the phone start up properly?
This look's bad man.
Try power on your phone then
Plugin into your computer.
Open adb then type adb devices
When your device is listed type adb reboot recovery
If IT doesn't boot in recovery mode then You should try flashing again the rom.
Something should work.

have you fixed it? perhaps i can help
if you've got fastboot (power + vol -)
you can fastboot (sort of like an adb) flash some system images and get your phone getting recognised by gnqc
you need :
ADB
boot.img from blu rom
system1.img from blu
right click on folder where adb and files are (they need to be on same folder for faster tipying)
write
fastboot flash system system1.img
fastboot boot boot.img
after that unplug phone, you need the drivers for blu, change cable from pc port and reconect to see if now it's recognized as a pure xl and check for the drivers.
It should install 2 com ports (hsusb, nmea) 1 adb, 1 modem and 1 storage
that is what i did to mine, hope it works on yours

tried that all it says is installation aborted .....
You have to to try this, that is how i have unbricked mine today.
power off your phone.
prepare your gnqc so you only have to press download when needed.
power on your phone then conect fast to PC ,then press download.
If IT doesen't leț You ,pres again and just try to see If IT works in different situations.
is a long shot but this is how i unbricked mine today.
fastboot doesen't work on this device,so You can't push anithing. i don't know hou this people are doing that.
If this metod doesn't work You shold try format system and data via adb . and after that gnqc should work.

He can't use GNQC because his phone's drivers arent insatlled, gionee blocks com ports, and fastboot does work on this device, you just got to flash it, i've been using it several times
A thing to notice is when you want to acces phone storage when phone is bricked You have to poweroff your phone and keep pressing power and volume+ untill some errors start appear in windows.
then You have acces to phone memory and You can paste anithing for later flash with recovery. You must Be very carefull not to format partition when asked !!!!!!
i have bricked my gionee 32 gb several times and always been albe to restore it so,no need to panic, some method should work for You too ,just have to find the right one.
And also,my phone is a rebrand of gionee from Romania, called Allview x1 xTreme, just like life pure Xl and i haven't encountered any problem with usb drivers, just used the one gionee provided. So this mai Be the case for You, i hope i am not wrong with this one.
Com ports are only closed in android 4.4 kitkat so If he didn't update he should Be able to use gnqc.
also You must observe that phone is recognised differently by windows deppending in wich state your phone is. powered off, recovery,or on bootloop. So that's why o have said that gnqc may work but You have to find that state when he is recognised the way that gnqc wants.
Sorry for long post i Hope those observations will help you.

LeEco Le 1 Pro (x800) Hard Brick Fix

So...you wanted to push the limit of your Le 1 Pro (x800) phone and install a newer ROM, but surprise...you bricked your phone?! Welcome to the solution...
Requirements:
-Hard-bricked Le 1 Pro, aka x800 (HARD BRICKED = Nothing comes up, no Penguin [fastboot], no Recovery)
-Windows Computer (I used Windows 7 32-bit, but Win8/10 32/64-bit should also work fine.)
-USB Type-C Data/Charge cable
-Qualcomm QPST 2.7 Build 429 (older versions such as 422 or 427 DO NOT WORK, I've tried.)
-Qualcomm Drivers
Review this link: http://www.droidsavvy.com/unbrick-qualcomm-mobiles/ (It talks about putting the computer in test mode and removing all existing drivers...either of which may or may not be required. If you run into trouble, try some of the things from this link!!)
Steps:
1) Download this zip file (contains everything you need): https://mega.nz/#!KthDlSxD!deEIr2y0PAPcPC4CHUSP2zInbBJ5VgBJpWa1B0PYhv0 (1.33GB File Size)
2) Unzip it.
3) Install "QPST.2.7.429.msi".
4) Plug-in phone and install applicable drivers from "Qualcomm_Drivers" folder (x86 = 32-bit, x64 = 64-bit).
5) From your computers applications folder, run "QFIL".
6) At the top, it should say something like "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COM3)". (If not try holding the phone's power button for maybe 5-20 seconds. If that doesn't work, see the above link about running your computer in test mode, uninstalling existing drivers, etc.)
6) Choose "Flat Build".
7) Click "Browse..." and choose prog_emmc_firehose_8994_lite.mbn from the "x1_na_dvt1_fastboot" folder.
8) Click "Load XML..." and choose rawprogram_unsparse.xml and when prompted, patch0.xml from the "x1_na_dvt1_fastboot" folder.
9) Click "Download" and let the fun begin.
FYI: Please DO NOT use the rom as-is. This is an early Chinese prototype rom, not a daily driver. Seek help/links from other users to install a different ROM. Perhaps in the future I'll have something better for you.
Disclaimer:
Apologies ahead of time if I don't have time to help you all troubleshoot. This is a complex process and although I've tried to make it easier, there will probably be some speed-bumps...like everything in life. Like you, this has already sucked up a lot of time and energy. I truly hope that those who are successful can help others! Best of luck to you!

Thanks a lot. I finally unbricked my phone.
However, the storage became 8gb, blue notification light is constantly on, etc.
Any suggestions how to fix them?
Installed cuoco92 rom but no success on the abovementioned problems.
Wanted to wipe internal storage when installing rom but usb otg shows 0 mb in twrp. Cannot flash zip from usb.
Sucess!!!! I debricked it! Thak you viperdream26. The phone now boots directly to recovery. Which recovery/rom did you flash? I dont want to mess this up again...

Well, i did brick my x800 too, but i manage to instal the trwp, its working, i didnt flash any rom, but, i got it bugged instaling twrp...
Now im on recovery loop, how can i get out of this recovery and boot ?
First of all big thanks to viperdream26 !
Same here as Makvelli - 10:44.
Phone only boots in Chinese recovery and then nothing else, can't do anything in this recovery. Does anyone know how to proceed ?
I was to quick with my response ! Phone boots ok, bootanimation is absent (only LETV with underneath two Chinese lines) and the rom is multi-langual.
Rom : Build-number 0.3-20150630-20-test-keys.
Well, now phone reboots every 5 minutes !
I suppose this rom isn't the US version ?
Operation went fine and I got a successful message. Now I have the chinese LeTv recovery!

asus zenfone 2 bricked while updating to marshmallow by TWRP RECOVERY

Hello xda members.

But after flashing is done phone rebooted and it only shows black screen with bright light. Somwhere if we touch on screen then at some specific points screen shows vibration.. but only black screen is there. And then i can only force restart it and forcely shut down it.
Then i thoght to do everything from begaining. Now conditions is that if i connect it to my pc and tried to find adb devices. Cmd window shows device connected in recovery mode. Now i have original rom of asus zenfone 2 but how to flash phone with it when there is no display on phone and computer shows device is connected but in recovery mode.

Same happend to me, can't even unbrick it.
Z00A bricked
I used twrp to update the MM zip. it hung for hours so I turned it off. now all I get is a black screen and 2 vibrations. sometimes I can get to fastboot but no matter what I select it restarts to a black screen with 2 vibrations or occasionally a group of color bars. ADB cannot see the device. I have installed intel SOCusb and tried updating the with xFSTK. device manager sees a moorefield device then it disappears, in and out. xFSTK gets through updating dnx_fwr.bin and ifwi.bin but it loses connection to the moorefield device and fails to continue on to update droidboot_dnx.img.POS_sign.bin. I have uninstalled and reinstalled intel SOCusb and xFSTK several times and tried installing them in different orders. same problem. Moorefield device loses connection. I also tried using Asus Flash Tool. sometimes it detects my device, other times not. when it does detect it and I select the raw file and it says it is flashing but nothing happens after hours. I'm not sure what else to try.

Did you and all others who are having trouble with the zenfone make sure to flash any custom kernel for your rom?? If one is available.. Just a suggestion.. Make sure you're trying to flash the right device and exact model, any follow any guides properly. Go back over and read each step thoroughly just to rule out any steps you may have missed along the way

Ahh, yes.. In that case then you're spot on. To flash any stock firmware, the device needs to be set back to stock factory defaults. And thats because the stock kernel needs to be present so that the stock firmware (official) is able to be flashed properly without bootloops/bricking etc. Think of it as a safety feature

I understand that part, but since you have twrp installed, you're not actually considered as being on complete stock.. You're using a custom kernel right? Hence the whole reason why you cant flash stock MM rom via twrp
You need to flash it using a flash tool program for your specific device. (Sony = flashtool, Samsung = Odin. Etc etc).. If you dont need to back anything up orif you already have. Then just flash the stock rom via your devices flash tool using your pc or or via a method that is specific to your device..
There's really no way around it unless you wanna brick your device..
And another person has also mentioned the same thing. That you wont be able to flash stock rom via custom recovery. It ain't gonna happen..
You have to reset your device completely to stock.. And that includes STOCK kernel..

That is what I'd like to do but I have not found a way to do that.

Ok ... first of all..
Do you have all the necessary files on your external SD CARD ready??
------------------If yes then continue on-------------------
1. Open up adb and fastboot with admin privileges..
2. connect your device to your PC in ADB mode
3. in ADB cmd type adb reboot bootloader
***If you have already completed step 4 below previously and you are sure you already have a custom recovery (TWRP) installed on your device, then skip straight to step 5***
4 fastboot flash recovery [nameofrecovery].img (Without the brackets and also Make sure The Recovery.img file is SPECIFICALLY for your MODEL.. ***ZE550ML***
5. While your device is still connected to your PC in either ADB or fastboot mode
in ADB just type the following command below
(if connected via adb) - adb reboot recovery or adb boot recovery
(If connected via fastboot) - fastboot reboot recovery or fastboot boot recovery
IF you device reboots in to TWRP successfully, then all you need to do from this point is...
1. wipe data/Factory reset
2. wipe cache partition
3. reboot now.
you should now be able to boot your device like normal
good luck
let the process complete.. after factory reset is complete proceed

Hi! yes, i did that, my phone showed in devices manager as Moorefield and xfstk dont show any errors after the "begin download" The process is completed without any problem. The phone restart and show me the 4 colours and then restart, not showing me the fastboot. I did many times the process of xfstk, but always is the same result.
pd: excuse my english.

Flash Redmi Pro

How do you flash the redmi pro ?
There are flashing advertisement banners on the top of my home screen whenever connected to wifi or data usage. I have found the virus sits inside the note application that comes installed on the phone therefore I can't get rid of it.
I am told I need to flash it and then reload the software on the phone. I cannot seem to hard reset it as the phone asks to be plugged in instead of giving options

[Unbrick tool for 3T] [Without data loss] Unbrick + Keep data - Babloo

First of all ,
This is intended to help people to unbrick their 3T devices without loosing the data on internal storage.
All due credits to @LloydSmallwood for his unbrick thread.
I just modified a few script files from the unbrick tool to skip formatting the userdata partition so that the data is safe.
So just follow these instructions ,
Prerequisites :
Download Driver and Unbricktool
1) Driver: https://mega.nz/#!AgohmbqC!h16GeeOnlvubYDyfID3feY-qVJuBZiWVvYsXSAeKIA8
2) Unbricktool(OP3T): https://mega.nz/#!Q1YnTTAT!gnLf6NEkSRy7W-WY8J0H2SmJJLzO91-vReKx7B1VVpI
3) Modified Script :
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=962187416754454917
Step 1: Extract Drivers and Recovery Tool files on Desktop. Replace the rawprogram files in the folder with the ones in the zip file mentioned in point 3 above. (Script).
Step 2: If you are using Windows other than Windows XP,turn off Driver Signature Enforcement.
To do so,follow this guide :
http://www.howtogeek.com/167723/how....igned-drivers/
Step 3: Press the power button for 40 seconds to turn off the phone.
Step 4: Press the volume up button for 10 seconds, while connecting the device with the computer.
Step 5: Open your device-manager and make sure in "Unknown devices" is one device with the name "QHUSB_BULK".
Step 6: Right Click on your device in the device manager and select Update Device Software. Choose manually the drivers folder and install the driver.
Step 7: When the device shows as "Qualcomm 9008", go run the MSM Download Tool as administrator.
Step 8: Click start at top left corner and wait for it to finish (green text will come).
Step 9: Disconnect phone from PC and boot into system.
If anyone notice issues like less space shown in the internal storage or wrong partition size,
backup all the data after unbrick , go to recovery , wipe internal storage and data partitions from advanced wipe menu.
if required change the partition format to Ext4 . This will also Decrypt the device. (You can encrypt from the settings menu if required)
As already mentioned
I just modified a few lines in the script to keep data safe, all credits to @LloydSmallwood

Get me a cup of green tea - paypal.me/Babloo289
Just for those who have the same Problem: For me the device didn't show up in device manager as "Unknown devices" with name "QHUSB_BULK" but as Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 under the Ports section, but the unbrick still worked
Your link to the mega-files is locked behind sth like a crypto-key-wall. I'm not able to get through, since you haven't provided a key so far
Links not working
Can you fix the links?

---------sorry for my bad English---------]
------my mobile stuck on boot animation... reloading again n again( not -rooted no custom recovery, it's a stock ROM ..even never open dev setting)
2 days ago my mobile gets switched off at night /.....early morning I plugged in .after around 1 hr I saw mobile is not getting switched on.
only fast boot mode working at that time..(stock recovery also not working).
So far what i did
1--First of all, I used the unbrick tool.( mega.nz/#!Q1YnTTAT!gnLf6NEkS...1-vReKx7B1VVpI)..
2-- All Drivers and adb Installed
3-- after When the process is complete with the MSM Tool, the Green Line Text also came.
I got the cable out of the mobile and then started it. Again stuck in boot animation. This process only got the benefit that stock recovery started again.
I started stock recovery and did not know how many times I wipe cache, wipe all data but the result was same all time ..still stuck in boot animation.
4---After that, I installed ROM from the ADB sideload(command was -------adb devices then ADB sideload "filename".zip).
but nothing changed..still stuck on boot animation. (only stock rom OnePlus 3T OxygenOS 3.5.4 and OnePlus 3T OxygenOS 3.5.3 is working, Both of these ROMs come up to Boot animation, The rest of the rom is switched off only after powered by Android)
lastly, I tried to unlock OEM but it says remote OEM unlock not allowed . its failed 0.016 sec

You can only unlock the bootloader if you previously allowed "OEM unlocking" in the ROM's developer settings, otherwise the message you mentioned will appear.
I made the experience form people reporting a sudden failure with bootloop or startup problems, on unmodified systems and all stock, that this is a very strong indicator of a hardware problem, not a software problem, unfortunately this seems to be the case on your device too. You did already all the right steps and every software problem would have been resolved by now, in my opinion only a hardware issue is left as possible explanation - I have no idea about what else to suggest you...

Hello,
@Babloo289
Could you modify, or guide me on how to modify the same files to work with the oneplus 5T tool?
Stuck with a soft bricked phone, and service center tells me they cannot save the data. :crying:
I can see the rawfiles are xmls, and refer to specific hexes in the memory, but I'm not sure what all of that is based on. Please help.

There's no need for such a request.
Use the XDA forum search and look for an unbricking guide within threads specific to your device model.

I did not mean to spam, but I've already looked in the device specific forums, and other places. This seems to be the only thread around for unbricking any OnePlus without data loss though.

For those who are stuck on boot logo, just flash SuperSU in TWRP.
No need to format internal memory.
I'm trying to do this but it keeps coming up as Android Bootloader Interface. Any suggestions?
