Copy the CyanogenMod build(ROM) zip file in an external SD card and insert the SD card in your phone.
Now rename the Cyanogen recovery image your downloaded before to recovery.img and then copy it in the Minimal ADB and Fastboot folder. Do copy the twrp.img also in the same folder.

Before continuing any further, make sure your device is charged at least 50%.

Yes, connect it without the battery, make sure its connected properly.
after connecting the phone, type this command in the cmd prompt:

Some Help With TWRP and Bootloader Please

Hey guys. I've tried everything, and I'm stuck. Never had so much trouble doing something so basic. No idea where it's going wrong.
Here's the basic timeline:
1. Bought phone
2. Unlocked/rooted/flashed TWRP
3. Tried CM13 for a bit, clean flash +supersu
4. Tried Exodus for a bit, clean flash + supersu
5. Tried community build of 3.0.1, clean flash +supersu
6. Wanted OTA update, so dirty flashed community build to remote root, OTA update ended up replacing TWRP with stock recovery
7. I want to go back to exodus, and can't for the life of me get TWRP back on
Here's what I've tried:
1. Basic steps on any website to download adb drivers etc.
2. Tool box from XDA
3. Factory reset then try all of the above again
Issues:
When I try to fastboot flash recovery [file] I get error: cannot load 'recovery.img' I've tried renaming it to twrp.img as I've seen suggested in some places, no help. I've ensured that the image file is in the same folder as the command prompt. I have used the Grarak TWRP file as well as 3.0.2 and 2.8.7 as suggested on some other sites.
Things I'm noticing:
When I try the fastboot devices command, it only recognizes my device when in fastboot mode, but not when loaded normally. In fastboot mode I can issue commands to reboot, get info, etc. but once loaded it's all gone.
I haven't seen that prompt that comes up to authorize a computer RSA code for USB debugging (yes, USB debugging is enabled in developer options, and yes, I have tried changing the USB settings from charging, to MTP, PTP, even MIDI.)
When I use the device-info prompt I get the following results:
Device Tampered: false
Device Unlocked: true
Device is_verified: false
Charge screen enabled: false
Display panel:
console_locked: 1
exec_console_unconsole: 0
Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Hi, Here's what i believe you need to do. If you have the correct twrp recovery img file and all you need is to just flash it to get custom recovery in order to continue enjoying your custom roms, then this will fix your problem.
1. make sure you have all the necessary adb, fastboot drivers installed and that if you run the command 'fastboot devices' fastboot can see your Oneplus device.
2. if fastboot can see your oneplus device, then worry not. use the following command to flash your custom twrp recovery.
3. Rename your recovery file to just recovery nothing else attached.
4. boot your phone into fastboot, open the folder where you have your recovery file and hold down the shift key and rightclick anywhere in the folder and select the option that says 'Open command Window Here'
5. this will load fastboot. after fast boot loads, enter the following commands :
fastboot devices (this will display your device, once your device is showing, then worry not)
6. the next command is to flash your custom recovery image. so u need to enter exactly the following :
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img (this will then flash your custom recovery. make sure you name it just recovery)
7. after flashing your recovery, enter : fastboot boot recovery.img (this will boot you into twrp recovery mode)
let me know if this helps. Cheers!!

Rooted with twrp and supersu, not able to boot into system, infinite loop while booting

Hi friends, i have followed instructions as per youtube video (official oneplus),struck on rebooting ..now i am able to fastboot, twrp recovery menu, have backed up using twrp backup. But not able to reboot to system. The boot logo after one plus symbol kept on rotating infinitely. Please help me.
Do a factory reset
Sent from my ONE A2005 using Tapatalk
My phone is not getting power on,though i have done factory reset from twrp 3.000 recovery.Still no go struck in boot menu with rotating logo after 1+ symbol..
Hello . Firstly try get your phone into fastboot mode. Once you have get up adb. (if you don't have adb, or find it really confusing to install, get wugfreshs root tool kit has built in adb terminal)
Open up your terminal plug in your phone and type
Code:
fastboot devices
Something should come up .
Once you done that grab the latest twrp for your device. Then FLASH! AAHHHHHHH, PROTECTOR OF THE UNIVERSE. In fastboot
Code:
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
Once that's done type
Code:
fastboot boot recovery twrp.img
The it should boot into recovery from. Here your computer should recognize your device . You should be able to easily drag and drop a new rom and gaps on to your device

Also factory reset only works on a rom level. So if roms wrong. It won't do anything
So, I had the same problem and here is my fix for it.
I am not sure, but I think you will lost all your data on this way :/
You can Skip the first 2 lines, because when you installed TWRP you already done this
1. Go to a Computer and install Adb
2. Download Minimal Adb and Fastboot
3. Download the offical Rom on the OP2 Site and copy the .zip file into the Fastboot folder
4. Rename the .zip into rom.zip
5.Connect your phone to the Computer
6. Start into Twrp, go to advanced, click on adb Sideload
6. Now go to your computer, into the Fastboot Folder and start the command line and type: adb sideload /path/to/rom.zip
7. It should now take some minutes to install the Rom, you will see how many percentages on the Screen (It will only show until 50%, don't worry about that)
8. Voila, your Phone should now work again
To root it again, there are some modified UpdateSu-Files specially for your current Rom.Version. When you are on 3.5.6 you can use the attached file

Doesn't work for me the original recovery won't recognize adb device so here i have done this:
1) Flash a custom rom Oos based via twrp (i've done this with freedomos) DO NOT REBOOT phone after flash
2) Flash original OxygenOs firmware provided by oneplus site DO NOT REBOOT phone, not yet
3) Put original recovery in your sd card from your pc via twrp (if you don't already have it)
4) Install original recovery from twrp
5) After that, reboot to recovery and you should have the op original one, perform a factory reset via recovery
6) try starting device, if everything works you can finally re-lock bootloader (only if you want)

Help! I tried to do the sideload but in my powershell window says "loading: 'update.zip' *cannot read 'update.zip'* " I don't know what's the problem, my computer can detect my phone with "adb devices" and "fasboot devices" so that's not the problem
Reason for that is adb on Windows can't read large files as it's not Large Address Aware, I'll get the article I use that has a tool that enables that when I get home, it's basically a small program you need to run that enables that functionality.

[Fix] No internet on OnePlus One while using mobile data

Hey there! This is my first thread about fixing a phone's problem, I hope it helps some OnePlus One users, Okay, So the issue is that that the internet isn't reachable, Even if you can see the mobile data signal indicator (H+ or LTE). I was able to fix my friends' phone by updating the modem, And updating the OS from Cyanogen Mod 13, to the official Lineage OS 16 Rom, And to do that, Just follow my instructions, But first, You're obviously gonna have to download some files
Notelease do it at your own risk, I'm not responsible if you bricked your phone, Still I'm sure if you follow the instructions correctly, nothing bad will happen
The required files
OnePlus One USB drivers Download
ADB and Fastboot Installer From this thread
TWRP Recovery Download
Modem files that I used Download I Found them on this thread
Lineage OS 16 Official zip file Download
Open GAPPS Download (make sure you select ARM, not ARM 64 from the download section)
Note: Unlocking the bootloader will wipe all data from your device (Including apps, pictures, settings, And everything , So make sure you backup all the important files.
Now follow the instructions
Make sure your phone is charged enough (50% or so) to get you through the whole process.
Install the USB drivers, And the ADB and Fastboot (You can find how to do this on the original Thread
Now you have to unlock the bootloader of the phone, To do that: Go to the main directory of the ADB that you installed, Then press SHIFT on the keyboard and right click with the mouse, And "Open command window here", Now Turn your phone off and boot it to Fastboot mode by pressing Vol+ and Power button until it say Fastboot mode, Now plug the phone to the computer, And type in the cmd:
Fastboot devices hit Enter (Your phone's serial number should show up there if the drivers were installed correctly).
Fastboot oem unlock hit Enter (wait for the process to finish).
Fastboot reboot hit enter (To reboot the phone to the system)
Next, You need to install TWRP recovery, but before you proceed, While the phone is turned on, Go to Settings>About phone, And scroll down to " Build number" and click on it 7 times in a row, Until it says "developer mode is on", Now press back button and press on developer options from the settings menu, Look for (CM Recovery Protection) and disable it, Now turn the phone off, And boot it to Fastboot mode again and plug it to the computer, On the computer, Open a command window in ADB's main directory again.
Type in CMD:
Fastboot flash recovery C:/User/where you've put The TWRP-3.3...... .img file hit enter (note: after typing " Fastboot flash recovery(space)" instead of typing the whole path to the TWRP file, you can just locate the file and drag it to the command window, And it'll automatically write the path to the file.
That's it, You can unplug the phone , Now Boot it to brecovery by pressing vol- and power button (as soon as you see the OnePlus one boot logo, Remove your hand from the power and vol- button).
Once you're in the recovery, don't touch anything, Just swipe right, Now, Take a backup of the current modem partition (just in case something worse than the internet issue comes up), To do that: In the recovery, Go to Advanced and click on Terminal, Write these commands:
Code:
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p10 of=/sdcard/modemst1.bin bs=512 (press enter)
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p11 of=/sdcard/modemst2.bin bs=512 (press enter)
Note:Make sure to go back to the main menu and backup the current ROM too (in case something goes wrong or you don't like the Lineage OS)
Now that you've backed up everything, You need to flash the new modem to the phone, So extract the zip file that you had downloaded, It countians 8 files, Now again, Open the command window in ADB directory, Boot the phone to Fastboot mode and plug it in, And Use these commands to flash the modem files:
Code:
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot flash sbl1 sbl1.mbn
fastboot flash dbi sdi.mbn
fastboot flash rpm rpm.mbn
fastboot flash aboot emmc_appsboot.mbn
fastboot flash tz tz.mbn
fastboot flash LOGO logo.bin
fastboot flash oppostanvbk static_nvbk.bin
Here is an example:
Code:
fastboot flash modem (And drag the file"NON-HLOS.bin" here to automatically generate the path to the file)
Repeat the process with each file, When you're done flashing those files, Type Fastboot reboot, You need to transfer the Lineage OS 16 ROM zip file, And the Open Gapps zip file to your phone's internal storage, So that you can install Lineage OS 16 via recovery.
Turn the phone Off, boot into recovery again, Go to wipe, chose Advanced Wipe, And check : Dalvik Cache and Cache and system partition, Then swipe right, Go back to the main menu, Click on Install, Chose the Lineage OS 16 zip file from the internal storage, And swipe right (wait for the process to finish) , Now go back to internal storage, And flash the Open Gapps zip file.
That's it, Now check if the internet is working while using the moble data, If it does work, Then Congratulations

Oneplus 6T hard brick?

Hello guys
I have a problem, yesterday I was putting the twrp to my one plus 6t via fastboot and as soon as I entered the bootloader I put the command "fastboot boot twrp.img" and it said "fastboot unknow command".
So I searched on google for the commands to start the twrp via the PC terminal and I found this command "fastboot flash recovery twrp.img".
Everything ok, it restarts the screen, 3 minutes then it is turned off and remains in the initial screen where it says that the bootloader is unlocked, it does not go in fastboot mode not in recovery
Tips?
Use the Msm tool to recover if your phone is bricked.

When it comes to A/B slot phones (Like the OnePlus 6T), you're not suppose to use the fastboot flash recovery twrp.img command. The reason why is because that command doesn't apply to A/B slotted phones, you need to use the fastboot boot twrp.img command to boot into TWRP and then flash the TWRP flasher for OnePlus 6T which can be found here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/on...overy-unofficial-twrp-touch-recovery-t3861482
Make sure to download the flasher zip and the latest img for TWRP.
Drag the .img into the fastboot folder and use fastboot boot twrp-3.3.1-8-fajita.img. Then once it boots into TWRP, drag and drop the installer zip onto your phone's storage and flash it. Reboot into recovery and you should have TWRP on your phone.

Make sure the device is off,Press volume up + volume down button then connect it to the computer.
If your device still doesn't show up,try pressing volume up+volume down+power button and then connect it.
This worked for me in many cases.
When I connect my phone via USB it shows up in the device manager as Qualcomm HS-USB.... But when I try using MSM it shows the phone connected on port 16 and I hit start and it fails after 16 seconds because it can't do a download. My question is is the download external via internet or is it a file in the MSM folder? I might be blocked by firewall at work if external.
EDIT: Looks like I found my issue. I couldn't tell if my phone was on or off since I had no display after trying about 20 more times I guess I got it ON.
