anyone here, who recieved already the beta of Android 6.0 for Huawei P8?
A lot of countries in europe are about to start the beta phase in decembre, from what I heard germany, france, italy and spain.. all should be releasing for L09, I think.
Would be nice, if someone, who get the beta, could upload it

EDIT: After install is done, it took me about half an hour, the system is really fast and responsive! I didn´t do a reset at all, maybe tomorrow.
I update and post about impressions later more
The installation took me 30 min and yes it's fast, the fastest rom alive ! For now I like this rom and the launcher
successfully updated the device, I dont see anything out of ordinary so far... few slight changes there and there. Things i noticed...
1) new update is kinda RAM heavy... i had 2 + gigs of free ram on 5.0.0, after updating to 6.0.0 I get only 1,31 of free RAM
2) seems like I get more performance on gaming with balanced plan then before, its not as laggy as it used to be when playing on balanced
3) changed interface when listing in apps (square button) - so much better
other than that its only minor changes... didnt see anything else worth mentioning but this is like super quick kind of review, so there could be more things that have changed.
I noticed that when using smartcover and close the cover, the phone always gets locked, even when there is set "lock with on/off" or "lock after x minutes".. can anyone confirm this?
update is failed in 4%.....
I updated from B200 and these new version is laggy sometimes, i tried to revert to B200 but it's impossible with local update or with 3 buttons method (VOL+ VOL- POWER) so if anyone knows how to do please tell me.

Interesting that you saw a "local upgrade" option. With my P8 on B313, that option isn't available. The only options I have under Settings | Update are: 'Download latest full package', 'Update settings', and 'System Information'.
Trying the three button method with earlier f/w versions in the /dload folder results in: 'Software install failed!' and display of the URL: 'http://www.emui.com/emotiondownload.php?mod=restore'
Of course, that page doesn't exist.
How do I install the update? I've got just a stock phone without SD card. Do I need to create any specific folder to be able to update the system?

TOTALLY AGREE W/ U!! i'd not have time to update but would want to know if they have included CHINESE JAPANESE & KOREAN lauguage support. if not i'll be visiting the service ctr the 3RD TIME.......
Just updated via SEUS. I noticed that the current baseband is 2.1.67. Any information about this? I wasn't able to find something on google and the search also returned nothing.
If there is no information, how do I dump it (I have not had the time to read into android development yet)?

Yes, that sounds like Gingerbread update. Please post screen shots or at least post what it says in "about phone" in "settings".
Edit: from screen shot this appears to be another 2.1 update.

I got no notification. I was trying to get wifi on CM7 to work and messed up basebands (baseband: unknown).
I tried to recover with SEUS and the first time it failed. Phone powered off after boot-animation. The second time it worked fine.
About changes:
Did not try nothing, cause I am not interested in 2.1 very much.

New calander is pretty cool. It now shows general events like public holidays, unless I just never noticed them before. There's also some new things in Timescape.
Rooted fine via flashtool.
This app isn't available on the United States app store, and is only available in some countries, however the functionality of the app is flawless if you manage to side load it. I personally would target this at people who feel like myself, that the regular Facebook app was simply bogged down and very slow.

I don't have the change log now but I do remember reading. Nothing major, few bug fixes, enhancements to the amount of data used. Worth upgrading to, sure. But probably not a game changer.
Guys, did anyone managed to get the latest version? Version 1.4 is already out on 2nd of February and I am eager to give it a try.

Sorry for the late response, I was in the middle of the exams re-take week so although I saw this I could not answer.
So I will do my best to help you but what do you actually want to do, are you asking how to install a newer android version (2.3.x or 4.0.x) or how to re-install the stock firmware or how to install an alternative OS (debian linux)?

Well you can get a newer version but it will surely not be faster than 2.2, you could install OpenAOS Degu (android 2.3) or Cyanobiz (android 4.0) depending what version of android you want, I can help out if you tell me which one you want to install.
Also if you want to improve the performance of android 2.2 I would recommend installing one of the root kernels (either the OpenAOS boot menu one or Chulri's kernel) and then use the app called Milstone Overclock (I found it somewhere here on XDA, I can give a link) and set the CPU at 1.2Ghz.
You could also go multiboot using Kboot (which I actually need to re-upload and will do that now) so you can have newer android version(s) and stock working better at the same time. For root I would actually recommend Chulri's kernel instead of the OpenAOS one, it seems to work better.

I do not have that device but I don't even see a 50c Neon on their product range on the .com site, only a 50c Platinum and a 50 Neon, for the 50 Neon there is this MIUI: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/rom-archos-50-neon-t3210324 but otherwise you are out of luck I am afraid.

Nope, except that MIUI for that 50 Neon I can not find anything else so I'm afraid you are out of luck.

You're supposed to use the other update app. They put the error in to prevent updating from the wrong source, I believe. The one we're supposed to use is in the list of apps. Instead of in Settings.

You are in for a not so fun time with this box, IMHO. It's some adjusted version of tablet android 12 that is (seemingly) purposely crippled as far as permissions and user interface (as you noticed). It's pretending to be a Pixel 3.
I was unable to obtain permissions or even a proper interface after some time of trying. If anyone has tips as far as how to interact with this octagonal menace, please post them here. In exchange here is the specific ID of the board and a link to a picture i've just taken. It's obvious that Amazon has about a billion of these to sell, it'd be nice if we could optimize these little boards for something other than consumer control

Mine is working ok for now. Changed Launcher to SquareHome. There are a few settings missing, but for the price, I can't complain. I've learned how to flash firmware. The box came rooted which helps. Best boxes to buy are the AmLogic processors. They have more support available.

Tired to use in inbuilt updated with a local image but no luck... also tried flashing from an sdcard using PheonixCard 3.09 but again no luck , could be the firmware i have.
Any tips gratefully received.

I either use Pheonix Suite with a USB A to A cable or unplug power from the box and insert the micro SD card created with Pheonix Card and then plug in power. I never have seen the words copying on the TV just a progress bar. Same the other way. Any how, getting ready to upload the latest firmware I have.
