I'm downloading it right now. It's 150MB. I'm not sure how to share it after that, though.

Awesome man... Are you planning on rooting?

Upload it to a cloud service like dropbox or something and share the link. It should be in /cache.

Security updates, nice

Awesome!

root is required to share the update
1. download the update but DO NOT INSTALL!
2. at this point, root and install a file manager like ES file explorer
3. go to /cache/FOTA (root is required to view this)
4. copy the zip to your internal or external sdcard and upload it.
or we wait for the tarball

Or better yet... wait for Marshmallow! LOL! But it's probably best to just wait for the tar. We would have to work with a rom dump after somebody took the ota and let their phone patch up to OK1. This would also require everybody to take the ota in order to update their firmwares, bootloader, etc before flashing the new OK1 custom/stockish rom. Running new software on top of older bootloaders/firmware can and usually does have issues. I'm going to wait and see what's on the horizon for the first quarter of 2016 before updating again. Maybe we will get lucky and get Marshmallow. It seems the N5 didn't get a couple of features due to incompatibility issues and the N4 did so that' goes in our favor. We can only hope.

I just got the update downloaded but not installed. Nervous todo it. I want my phone rooted but i guess since I'm not yet I'll do this update and hopefully a good root method is available soon. I hope this fixes the camera, gallery and sd card issues as well.

I just bought a "mint" Note 4 off of swappa but it came with the N910PVPS4COK1 OTA installed. I am waiting with great expectations for the master, Freeza to do his magic. - TIA, Mr. Freeza!

OK1 tar is up on Sammobile; I'm at 9% on slow download...

Worse than OJ6? You should try AEL kernel, battery life is so much better with it

Anyone else grab the OK1 stock tar from Sammobile? I have it downloaded and uploaded to AFH; MD5 is d30b46b35f59ffc8d11b8d2b1b6dedc1 both ways. Can someone confirm, please? Hard to trust download during peak hours. It actually didn't take all that long. I'm hoping it's right by confirmation.
Update:
Thanks to @jhill110 for confirming the md5 from Sammobile download of OK1 stock tar.
Here's my link to the OK1 tar for faster download from AFH for those who want it:

And here's Odin 3.10.7 (or latest would be posted in this link's OP):

If so, how? Just Odin it on?
Can you provide a short how to with a link to the kernel if this is doable?
Thank you

You have to be on OK1 to use this kernel
Oops sorry brother, but yes you can use AEL kernel on OJ6 but you need to be rooted. Sorry misread thread.
Im on stock rooted OJ6 odex with freezas OG5 kernel and battery is really good so far.
Just an example, I had 2hrs 15 min screen on time and 1 hour and 10 min of download while screen off and was at 62%.

Now the question I am wondering is... Is it worth it? Potentially sacrificing root and CWR? I have been running 0.0.7.3 CM9 build for many months now and am curious to what you all think.
Pros/Cons? I've heard battery life is terrible, which is odd because I feel like I have good battery life on the CM9 Port. Also... Is root completely gone? Does OTA Rootkeeper help? My biggest concern (I'd probably even lose root if it is fixed), does the pen work as advertised? Or is the infamous 'pen wonk' bug still present?
Pen wonk = writing notes for ~10-15 minutes, pen is suddenly not responsive. Sleep/waking the device fixes it usually. This has been present in every stock Honeycomb build as well as all the CM9 Port builds so I am very curious if this is fixed because I believe it is a hardware issue (Lenovo please prove me wrong). Any info would be much appreciated.

I was able to go from a rooted, CWM'd device (US 64GB) to a fully rooted device without CWM.
After a few painful steps to get an old busybox file restored and stock recovery enabled, the upgrade process was very simple and so far it is working very well with ICS. There hasn't been enough time to judge battery life yet....
Make sure you follow the instructions that other's have posted about using RootKeeper. That is the only thing I needed to use to restore root perfectly.

I updated with CWR rather than reverting to stock recovery. Everything worked fine. However, it did get rid of the stock recovery.

That is good news about the ability to keep root. At least in keeping root, we should theoretically be able to restore CWR.

I did not have CWR to start.
I downloaded the update through the "update" menu on the device.
Update failed due to gps.conf being modified.
Reverted to what I thought was old gps.conf, update still failed.
Install CWR
Try update through CWR
Still fail, due to indigo being required in build.prop (this error is caused by CWR)
Commented out the Indigo lines in the update-script in the update
Flashed again
Still failed for gps.conf.
Commented out each line in update-script mentioning gps.conf
flashed again, it worked.
I take you flashed 310 first then 400?
Where is the script located?

New OTA: 44S Rolling Out Now [Original and Modified OTAs Included]

Just FYI: https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/cm-11s-44s-ota-is-out.173057/
...didn't see the typical insta-thread here, heh.
Greetings friends,
Happy Weekend! Thanks to our buds at Cyanogen, a new OTA will be rolling out to your phones starting today. This new release includes some new fixes such as a resolved SSLv3 POODLE security issue and updated touchscreen firmware.
The OTA will be released slowly and therefore some regions might receive it before others. Once you’ve received your OTA please let us know what you think! Any further issues you may find can also be reported directly to Cyanogen.
Here’s a comprehensive list of changes you’ll find in this update:
Fixed issues with memory causing screen artifacts
Fixed issues with random reboots and instability
Fixed issues with WiFi and modem crashes
Fixed issues with Filesystem
Fixed issues with “black bar”
Fixed issues with persist partition corruption
Fixed issues with AT&T VoLTE

Edit: Forgot to mention... this includes a new modem, I know people are always interested in that.
As a side note, I've been running the build as part of an early access test for a few days now... has been extremely solid for me.
Edit again: LINKS!
• Link to the OTA: http://builds.cyngn.com/fota/incremental/bacon/cm-bacon-ac1ccf7921-to-5fa8c79c0b-signed.zip
MD5: 684bc3eb256f06a912505628551cba24
Super mini guide: As long as your system is stock, flash away in stock or custom recovery. I always re-flash the SuperSU zip immediately following, YMMV.
• Link to the OTA with a modified script (by @gianton) for installing regardless of system changes: https://mega.co.nz/#!EdBQ1Y4C!P85kyvVp1iR_I4IiuLKPxGBqskE3fueWe0OGAFidGEg

FAQ (since people are allergic to reading and searching):
1. ZOMG WHY NO WIFI AFTER OTA?: Because you used a custom kernel and didn't clean up your system files properly. Either follow that kernel threads instructions for OTA-prep'ing or flash back to that kernel.
2. I don't run CM 11S but I can totally flash this CM11S update, right?: No. If you want to flash the 44S OTA update, get yourself to CM11S 38R.

Worked great for me, installed the Kernel with the fixed IR blaster and I have root.
Since XPosed doesn't work though, I don't quite know what fun things I can do with root. I used to love tweaking things with XPosed, eliminated the need for a custom ROM for minor stuff but with 5.1.1 I haven't found much to do with root yet.
Oh I was able to use titanium to backup my apps, that was exciting
I might just sell the Tab 4 and get a Nexus instead, at least I can get the latest Android quickly with that.

I tried and worked my ass off to attempt to produce a Deodexed version of this rom.. Deodexing is easy, but packaging the rom and with a proper Update Script is something that is at this time beyond my skill set.. I have been working in Ubuntu using ArchiKitchen and had some success, but It won't boot.. So I decided to give my tablet to a friend to use for a while.. I went back to my Trusty Nexus 7 to which is super easy to develop for.. Everyone has quit the T330NU as far as I know, and I just don't have the patients or the time.. Everyone is going back to school this fall and THEY don't have the time.. There will no more development for this device unless some new blood comes into the picture.. My suggestion, sell your tablet on Ebay and buy a Nexus 9..
Edit: My suggestion, Use ODIN to flash the Stock 4.4.2 and use the Chainfire Autoroot.. There is a old Stock rom floating around called Stocked.. I suggest using that.. Its the best we have.. The best we will ever have..

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I was actually looking at how much I can have for it and use that money to partly pay for a Nexus 9. I was already saving up for one but someone gave me the T330NU for free so I could not say no of course. I did not expect that there would be almost nothing for it on XDA.
I'll take a look at that "Stocked" ROM. It's downloading right now. It'll be that or pure stock 5.1.1 without root since there isn't much to do with root on that version anyways.

To flash stock, you need to Flash the official Samsung 4.4.2 firmware first through ODIN, flash recovery and flash Chainfire's Autoroot..
Then you can flash Stocked.. Its pretty decent, but the guy who developed it.. up and quit.. Seems like a common thing for this device..
It's cursed.. From here on in.. I will NEVER purchase another Samsung device again.. Either HTC or LG.. Never Samsung..

The Auto-Root doesn't install, phil's recovery just unpacks the file and says installation aborted.
I tried to install TWRP via ODIN but it doesn't work, when I boot to recovery all I get is a black screen.
EDIT : Never mind, got TWRP to work now.
EDIT 2 : CF-AR is ODIN flashable... DUh!

Everything worked and I even forgot how fast applications install on Dalvik. Definitely more options for Xposed so some satisfaction in having root!
I'll still try to sell it for 250$ with the 64GB memory car I have for it. Won't pay for a Nexus 9 but will cover most of it. I love that the N9 is made by HTC, definitely my brand, I just wish it was smaller. Love the format of the N7 except for the wide bezel.
Well I got lucky last night, maybe a week or 2 so I will have a Stock Deodexed LP ROM coming..
Not to get your hopes up.. I got lucky last nite with the update script.. Step by step.. Right now its just a recompiled rom from the TAR to Zip..
I will work on Deodexing, then debloating, making one full install, and one lite.. That will be Deknoxed.. Edit, Rooted as well..
Edit: I still have a ways to go..

Right now I have 3 versions that I'm working on, but since I'm not at my Desktop and away from home, even though its just on the other side of town.. Ill be back monday.. I have all 3 versions ready to test.. Since I'm not home I can't test them.. They will be ready when I'm sure I got everything.. Once released I will then in time make add ons .
I'm currently running and testing the Stock, Deodexed only for the moment.. I will be using Moonbutt74's Kernel, or just make it a flashable addon.. I havent decided.. I don't like the idea of taking someone elses work and injecting it into mine.. I'm on vacation so Ill be busy for a few days.. I have one glitch that didn't come out well during the Deodexing process.. Google drive was popping up and force closing.. So I had to uninstall it.. So I might just add that to the debloat list.. Once I'm confident this is all good.. I'll create my own thread.. I'm temped to send a teaser, but I want to bring it out knowing it works as good as it should..

That's a lot of progress, very encouraging. I put my T330NU for sale, trying to get 250$ for it but I might not get more than 200 which is fine, it'll cover the cost for a Nexus 7

New Update for the T710 - T710XXU2BPB1

There is a new OTA / SmartSwitch update for the T710.
T710XXU2BPB1 is the latest firmware.
I have requested the source and hopefully can get someone to make a permissive kernel soon.
I'm downloading it right now.

All the 5.1.1 kernels work. I've been rooted with recovery since yesterday morning.

Yes but three of the updates since OH7 have had updated kerenels. OL6 was just an updated kernel. One can assume they updated the kernels for a reason.
So say you update to the new OTA PB1 but use the posted permissive kernel you will have a PB1 with a OH6 kernel which cam out 8 months ago.

Looks like the battery life has really improved in this build.

That might be the case. But also remember, with each update comes possible lockdown. ie bootloader, losing root, losing permissive kernel.
Not all updates are good is my point.
Remember, I've built the OJ1 kernel for the OJ1 ROM. But nobody has gotten an update via Samsung via S2 update, past that. OL6, PB1 source or .tar may be out but not in use. Hmmmm wonder why.
And with kernel updates, usually comes updated bootloaders, and ROM's with updates to use the updated kernel.
Just food for thought.

I received PB1 via OTA. I also updated my wife's Tab S2 via SmartSwitch to PB1. So they are indeed in use.
Also FYI OL6 was just a kernel update, the Platform (ROM) was the same as OJ1.
OJ1, OL6, and PB1 all have the same bootloader. So you can always upgrade and downgrade between these.

Bootloader seems to be the same and is the B2 still. I'm running the NN 1.3 kernel with zero problems.

well, if you get impatient you can always flash supersu in systemless mode without permissive kernel, works excellent, never looked back. (I guess there are a few apps that get cranky about that, if you didn't already know, I guess titanium backup might be one.) Dunno, don't quote me on it. :^)

Impatient? What are we waiting for? We already have a couple SELinux Permissive PB1 kernels that allow for normal root.

Here is one of them. Just use the CF-AutoRoot that Ashrx posted after you flash this kernel.

I agree with the fingerprint scanner statement, it's almost spot on every time, another mistake I was making was trying to angle my finger in some of the positions when setting it up since I mainly use my tablet in horizontal mode.
Not sure about battery life though.
Does anyone have a good mirror for this update?

K1 1.5 flashable

Hello, I created this flashable zip of the 1.5 update for the K1 using SuperR's Kitchen. (Original file)
You can flash it with twrp.
This is my very first time, so theres no guarantee at all.
It worked for me. Take it or leave it.
It's deodexed and ziplaigned.
Rooted and with SuperSU.
Download: https://mega.nz/#!Xow12BiT!lF3wUNtDePdxKkvNJ6mPSyvPza7FaNF_4YSj91TiwbA
Confirmed working on my K1. Also could you maybe provide the blob if you still have the original full zip? Thanks for this!
thanks very much!
Downloading!! Thanks for your effort.

Are you going to make a new optimized one?
This one is only a test which I wanted to share.

For me this is hanging on "Extracting System Partition". Let it sit for at least 15 mins. Forced reboot back to recovery and flashed the full 1.4. thought about trying to boot but did not want to corrupt adaptive storage. Also I installed from adaptive storage like always.

For me it took a long time too. Maybe if you want to try it again let it plugged in the charger and give it some time.
good for me
Thanks you, it's gold for me.
I'm on Shield k1 software version 1.2, rooted w/TWRP. Will this work for me. Do I need other files besides this one. I'm worried about bricking my tablet. Any help would be appreciated.
