I was previously rooted and running 5.0.2 so I decided to try one of the CM rom's out. I ran into a little difficulty and now I am suck on the Samnsung logo on boot, holding down the power button does nothing and I tried holding volume up + home + power and it wont respond.
Have I unintentionally bricked my phone? Is there a solution to this? I'm going to be majorly gutted if I have just ruined my phone so if anyone has any suggestions please help

Hey guys, ive spent about 6 hours searching google, watching videos on youtube and i still can't access the recovery mode on my t595 vibrant. I tried the 3 button mode, but that makes the vibrant logo loop indefinitely until i release a button.
I tried the volume up and down, and power button but it does nothing, it just boots straight into the tmobile phone, please help as i really need to install that lag fix with root. Hope someone can help as its driving me nutz. Thanks
Quick background. I had a Chevron unlock token which I bought before they stopped distributing them and ever since I bought that token my phone was not quite them same (lag, slow...etc) but it worked and I never had any real problems with it..That is until I received an update from Verizon, at this moment I'm having a hard time remembering what the update was (7773?) idk, anyway since that update my power button has stopped functioning. I know that it works because I am able to enter the boot screen by holding down power and volume down. Currently I am running the 7.8 ROM Nokser posted with radio 1.53.00.02.15, HSPL 1.3.230506.209. Does anyone know if there is a possible fix for this problem? Thanks in advance for any help!
Also I dont know if this is of any importance but if I try to install any update through zune it is stuck in an endless boot cycle. I previously flashed a no-do ROM and tried to install updates and it did the same thing.
can anyone give me any tips at all as to what I should even try to get this power button working? It works because I can enter boot mode by holding it plus the volume button down, but is completely non functional when the OS is up and running.
I would appreciate any help.
OK, I managed to really really screw my phone up!!!
I installed a 4.4.2 rom (crDroid) and everything was working fine.... USB debugging on and rooted.
Next I started playing with LCD Density settings and managed to get get a device that won't show anything past the LG logo.... just a blank screen.
I have tried connect it to my computer and using adb to push a new build.prop to fix it, but I can't seem to get this thing recognized via adb anymore.... all I see is an "unauthorized" device and I can't see the screen (b/c it blank) to make any changes to actual device.
I am really really worried that I have completely borked this device.... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!
Another thing I should note.... I have tried many many times to boot directly into CWM (which I have installed version 6.0.4.4.). Unfortunately I think the LCD problem is killing me here.... I hold down the power+vol-down and then press them again when I hit the LG logo, but at this point the thing just goes blank.... I never actually see a CWM screen.
Again, thank in advance for your help... I am very very desperate and really have no idea what to do at this point.
OK, sorry for the freakout... I got this sorted out... it turns out I was following the wrong instructions on how to get into hardware reset mode.... for the vs980 you need to do the following...
1. press and hold power + vol-down
2. as soon as you see the LG Logo...
- release the power + vol-down buttons
- then immediately re-press only the power button
This should do it... some people were (I'm guessing for the other versions of the G2) were saying you needed to "re-press" both the power and the vol-down button and this was not working for me.
Love my phone but it's not coming on.

It boots to the point where it starts writing the word Samsung, freezes then turns off and the blue LED on stays on.
Bixby+volume down+power gets me to the Custom OS screen.
Bixby+volume up+power does nothing.
Any way to save this beautiful phone?
well, something happened.
you will need to try reinstall the stock rom with odin.
It is the same case if you use windows and the OS give you a problem...we reinstall everything.

Hi, thank you for your renspose. I've tried flashing 3 stock roms that I found from different places on the Internet. Only one is able to get installed but when the phone boots up after install, it says it is installing an update and then reboots or turns off.
Can you point me in the direction of a stock rom that you'd recommend? That would be great.
How do I know if it is a hardware or software problem? It worries me that the power button alone doesn't power it on, the only combo that works is vol down, bixby and power.

The phone works on Total Wireless (Verizon in the US) and I believe it is model # SM-G955U
Okay , i have to admit, this device is **** for doing basically anything related to custom roms and installation flashes.
Note: I am just a noob, as i got to know what rooting and all this stuff is only like a week ago. So please correct me if i am wrong. All the stuff i post here will be things i did to Get out a bootloop. I'll try and update this thread if i can, but no guarantees cuz honestly i don't know what i am doing half the time lmao.

Also i used LineageOs 17.1, NikGapps signed and magisk 21.4, i had NEVER had problems with twrp and fasboot itself, only problems with GETTING to TWRP and fastboot. if fastboot or recovery is damaged then idk what to do, because it never happened to me
These occured for me when i downloading wrong firmware/ wrong gapps and once when I tried to update gpu drivers, but it just soft bricked my phone:
Okay enough chat, here is the stuff i did to fix a softbrick:
Step 1: if you are stuck on a pure black screen you have to do is hold power and vol up until the realme logo comes back on. Although this is the toughest part to resolve as it didn't work for me consistently. (i tried only power for a minite, then power + vol down, then power + vol up and then suddenly on one power + vol up it started working and put me onto the realme logo).
Step 2: if you are now on the frozen realme logo ur basically chilling. (But also note: when i was trying randomn stuff on the frozen logo, i once felt two or three vibrations and then i went back to the pure black screen. )
Hold Power + Vol up until you feel a vibration and the second u do, keep power+ vol up held and also start holding vol down.
Step 3: thats basically it. U should on fastboot.
if anyone wants to correct me, because there is a chance that i am totally wrong, please do so. I just posted stuff that works for me because i know i can't be the only one who enocuntered this.
if this helped fix your phone please let me know.
Also note that i dont take resposibility for making things worse because i am only speaking empirically. I tried like 10 things, some of them workd and i posted them here. I dont know much about rooting and development yet so please dont hate me if i made things worse.
