Stock FIrmware for SM-G530AZ - Galaxy Grand Prime Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all, I am currently looking for the stock firmware for the Cricket Wireless variant of the Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime. Any help would be appreciated. I'm currently trying to flash my phone back to KitKat to expose a flaw in the system that would allow me to bypass the reactivation lock. My friend seems to have lost his account and can't recover it so I am doing him a favour and trying to help him out. I know development on this transition device is difficult but I am willing to be patient. Thanks again

I am also looking for this as well as it is my understanding that I need this to get back to KitKat after my phone upgraded to Lollipop which I do not want for certain reasons

I just found a G530AZ for sale on Ebay "as is" seeing it has physical damage. The seller reports it still has 4.4 so I wonder if buying it and backing up the rom on it and posting that here for everyone will work? I just worry about it being automatically upgraded before that can happen.
Also I read on another site that it might be possible that it CANT be rolled back to Kit Kat because the bootloader is being overwritten. Not too sure what that means.
Hoping someone can clarify if going back to stock Kit Kat is even possible and if so should I buy this phone from Ebay? (Or maybe someone more experienced could get it and help us all out and also get more use from it?)

I think maybe if i flash the csc from a different variant we might be able to get the option to unlock oem in our developer settings menu as well, I will see if i can get the csc from one of these other variants and maybe give it a shot tomorrow, unless someone that knows more about such things advises against it or if you already know its pointless. Thanks for input but we gotta get this puppy full unlocked as we are missing out on custom roms and recovery on our cricket version.

Well csc flash results in failed out checks need tonedit the aboot to unlock unfortunately

Unlocked bootloader

I did some searching and have not found anything recent about the topic... Was this ever figured out? are we just going to be in the dark with a locked down loader forever?
Maybe i missed the tread where this is currently still being discussed please direct me!
I haven't been able to find any information either. I have been monitoring XDA, Rootz and Droidforums and development seems to be fairly dead.
bootloader can not be unlocked, without codes from moto
and they just want these phones to go away

(CHINA) SM-G9250 Owners' Thread

Hi All,
Just picked up my shiny new Gold SM-G9250, and I thought it might be a good idea to start a thread for all of us who own it! Phone has already updated to baseband G9250ZCU1A0D3, and seems to be running very smoothly so far!
Being a Chinese version, there's no Google Services on the phone, so would be curious if anyone has managed to root their phone and get GApps on there yet.
Hope you're all enjoying your phones!
:good:
Hi man!
I'm looking for a green S6 Edge and the only variant that has this color available is the G9250.
So, does it dual sim? or single sim? Does it have any logo on the back saying it is Dual?
Thank you
It's a single sim phone, I'm afraid.
Why are you afraid?
Can you post some pics of your device?
as in 'I'm sorry it isn't Dual Sim.'
Any of you having the low bright and dimming essues ? My s6 edge gets waaay brighter but only outside.... auto or not auto still brightness problems.. software or hardware essues?
I haven't noticed anything yet, but I have mainly been using it indoors - only took it outside for a short while yesterday.
I'm out and about today, so I'll keep an eye on it and post later with what I find.
Still trying to track down root/recovery for this firmware if anyone has been successful? There was a page based on the phone's original firmware, but not sure whether to risk it.

I'm rooted used odin
Nice!
Could you direct me to a link for the files you used?
iGordy101, how did you unlock your SM-G9250? Did it come unlocked?
To the other G9250 users, the Taiwan version of the the G9250 comes with Gapps installed, perhaps there is someway to load it onto there?
Based on model numbers released so far, it looks like only the regular S6 will have dual sim option, but only for limited bands.

Oh Guys! Not sure about the different regions, but the members on MOBILE01 found that 'crom service' in Samsung Apps is the factory bootloader unlock! I just unlocked my bootloader, ROOT, HERE I COME!

I'm So EXCITED! Samsung provides factory bootloader unlocking!
I posted the details here:

Just a quick update.
I also found the CROM service post, unlocked and rooted my Edge. However, the recovery seems to not have taken properly (I'm getting the dm-verity verification failed error when I try to flash a zip or reset the phone). Phone still works fine, but I'm still that elusive step away from getting Gapps running on it!
Haven't had any problems at all with the auto-brightness bug that I can see - perhaps it's a handset issue thing? I'm just waiting for the firmware to appear on Sammobile so I can reflash it and try doing the recovery thing from scratch.
Keep the post updated if any of you have luck getting a working recovery/Gapps on the phone!
Cheers!

How were you able to use the app? My app force closes.
Sent from my SM-G925V using XDA Premium HD app
I didn't have any problem - found the app on the store, downloaded, it opened and unlocked without issue (and very quickly). I'm model SM-G9250, so it could be because of that.
Anyone had any luck yet finding a fully-working recovery for the AOD3 build? Or any other method of getting Gapps on the phone?
Hong Kong version G9250 , everything is unlocked , single sim and comes with google services. On AOD5 now
That's interesting - is it ok to flash firmwares of different regions between phones of the same model number? HK firmware flashed to a mainland phone for example?
i would also like to know this and if so, how to do it
Apparently it's ok to flash firmware to different regions, but it will break OTA as the CSC codes don't match up.
I've been checking the Chinese message boards, but there isn't currently a working root/recovery for the AOD3 build. Hopefully, some clever person out there can help out with this, as it's way beyond me!
I gave it a try with the HK firmware - didn't work, and soft-bricked phone. Had to flash the original software again. Wouldn't suggest anyone else tries, just in case.
I'm sure the proper files will pop up online soon - no need to rush!
can someone explain the simplest way to get google apps?
ive unlocked the phone using crom, so what is the next step to get google play?
is the simplest method rooting it? Is there a method that works without messing up the phone?

Note 4 Carrier to International

I have a Note 4 with a Canadian carrier, Rogers. I know there are international version of the phone, i believe it is the N910F and N910H.
Do the international phones get updates directly from Samsung without going through the carriers? If so, would it be possible to convert my Note 4 to an international version and how?
I don't want any of the custom roms as i actually like the stock version with touchwiz and from what i see most of them are full of bugs and require to flash new versions over and over. I just don't need all of my carrier's bloatware and branding, nor to be tied to them for updates as they usually do them months after everyone else. I want to be able to use the actual stock firmware from a international version of the phone.
thanks,
bump, anyone?
Anyone? a simple yes and no would be nice.
Yes u can

AT&T Firmware on SM-G935VC?

Hello all. I have an unlocked S7 Edge, model SM-G935VC. It's from Xfinity Mobile (yes, I'm an employee). Since the phone is already carrier unlocked, is it possible to just flash the AT&T firmware and have it work with my AT&T service? I really don't want to mess the phone up, but I do not see much of anything on my model # on the internet.
You should be able to flash any us carrier firmware on it.

Hey
I also have the s7 edge through xfinity mobile. Can I root this? I'm only asking because there's no xfinity mobile section on xda yet. If so which carrier thread method do I use?
Thanks

Bootloader is locked and encrypted on US Qualcomm devices, I don't think it's possible to flash anything that has not been signed by Samsung themselves.
Does anyone have the stock rom for the s7 from Xfinity? I'm stuck in a boot loop and can't find a copy. Module SM-6930VCC

How can i get to edit the APN's of a XT1766 with a this current rom NCQS26.69-64-2?

Hello guys,
I think the question is very clear but I'll elaborate anyways.
I bought the Moto E4 for my wife this week because I read that this phone features the LTE band number 3 (1800) and that's the LTE band that her company uses to provide LTE services, however we just updated the phone OTA just the day we bought it and after updating it we noticed that the phone didn't get LTE, after some research I learned that allegedly, those 2 updates we did just after booting the device may have been designed specifically to stop us from editing the APN's witch I now need to edit in order to properly configure the phone to work with her current company...
So I need your help, any ideas how can I fix this? (I'm not noob, I just can't find not a single thread here talking about a phone with this specific firmware NCQS26.69-64-2 the phone has installed and I'm worried that If I flash to the phone this software SPERRY_SPRINT_NCQ26.69-48_cid50_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip I may soft-hard-brick it because I'm uncertain that that software is meant to work in this phone and also worried that that software won't allow me to edit the APN's how I need to get LTE working)
So I live in a 3rd world country where the internet sucks and I have to let the 1.6 file downloading all night long to flash it tomorrow, I intend to flash the firmware but I'll be happy to see any response on you guys before that time comes.
Thanks in advance for any help on this subject, I have been away from this community for a long time but I'm a fan of your work here fellas.
I have seen some say that downgrading will hard brick after the most recent update. So I wouldn't do it. There is a thread here about creating a custom stock update package by replacing some of the .img files in the new update with ones from the older one that may help. I'll try to find the link. You may have to use different files as the post came here before the latest update.

Ok @pedrod89
this is what I found. You may want to ask op of that thread for advice if you have any questions. But I think that's what you are looking for.
Thanks buddy
Thank you very much buddy, I'll check that info.
You may just have saved my wife's phone, so I'm glad you answered, really appreciate it.
