echo/amplified sound while talking on headset - BlackBerry Priv

I've tried a few diff headsets, including the one that came with the phone and any time I make a call I almost hear an echo or an amplified version of the sounds on my side of the call. If I sniffle I hear it louder through the headset.
anyone else having this issue?

pretty sure this is a bug...
when i plug in my headset, bluetooth mysteriously turns itself on, and its not always apparent...my headset is not bluetooth, nor do i use BT at all so it is always off.
if bluetooth shows disabled it is actually still enabled sometimes. in either case the solution is to disable and or enabled then disable.
as soon as bt is disabled the weird echo sound goes away

I have the same issue when using wired headsets, very annoying when the headset mic rubs against my shirt because it's blasted in my ears.

Ringer coming from speaker when headset plugged in

is there any way to change this? i use my headset to listen to tunes while @ work and the gym, and the whole idea is to eliminate noise coming from the phone (and my desk!)
however, to listen to music you need to turn the sound on - but when you do, and you receive an incoming call, the ringer sound comes right from the phones speakerphone externally. when i get texts it stays within my ears (im pretty sure)
i know you could drop the phone call volume to 0 but what would that do? would you not hear it at all then, even in the headset? would the music even stop playing to signify an incoming call or would it keep playing since theres no need to output any other sound (the ringer)
anyone have a fix or an idea?
same issue in htc athena advantage x7501
real pain in the neck, since it doesn't vibrate.
and with the bluetooth, you solve that problem, but you still can't have any system sounds through the bluetooth headset.
this really wasn't well thought through.
any ideas?
a patch soon?
help?

Want phone to ring with wired headset connected

Anyone know how to make the THD to ring through speakers when a call is incoming? I like to use a wired headset and have it connected all the time so I don't have to plug it in our out all the time.
Didn't notice this at first since if you have 100% System Volume you can actually hear the ring but it's coming from the headphones and not the speaker so thought it was through speakers automaticly (also read someone claiming this in another thread).
So does anyone know of a way to solve my problem? Or is it just me getting the sound through headphones only when connected?
Thanks
I have the same question...
Mine seems to randomly ring through the speakers even with a headset connected sometimes, I find it pretty annoying since I don't want it to happen. I don't know how it's caused though.

speakerphone volume

I just noticed that the volume control does nothing when I have the phone on speaker. The bar showing volume does move and the numbers change but the volume stays the same. Fortunately it appears to be at the loudest setting which is better than having it too quiet.
I have done the tweak through the diagnosis codes that gave the speaker a louder upper end as it was too quiet before. Not sure if it was working before that. Anyone notice anything similar?
I'm not sure if you're targeting this question to folks that have done the mod, but my phone is stock and the volume control works fine with speakerphone.
I noticed something to that effect to. I was on the boards tonight to actually roll back those changes I made for the audio headphone output.
ha
I set my defaults back, and now the speakerphone volume works again. It was not working while the settings were in place to increase the volume.
Well, I'll likely just keep the modifications in place. Before, the speakerphone wasn't loud enough to be useful while driving. Only once did I want to turn it down and that's when I found the problem.
This wouldn't be an issue if I could get the bluetooth to properly pair with my built in bluetooth in my truck.

What's not working with the Bluetooth?
It will indicate that it has paired with the hands free kit but nothing happens when I send or recieve a call. Normally the radio will shut off on the display will read "phone".
One thing I noticed yesterday is that if I am on a call already when I start my truck the "phone" indicator does come up on the radio and the speakers go quiet but the conversation never switches from the phone to the truck radio. As mentioned above it does nothing if the truck is already running when a call is placed.
The hands free works perfectly with my old HTC Tilt so no issue there. I have also succesfully paired the Focus with a regular headset so it does work. So there is something in the communication between my Focus and the hands free kit.

Ok, not the same as my issue. Mine will not play any of the A2DP through the bluetooth of my car. It's a wiring issue in my case though. I'm hoping Microsoft enhances Bluetooth options so I can choose to only enable handsfree and not A2DP like I can on other phones. Otherwise, all my phone's system sounds are missing, so I cannot hear anything when connected through bluetooth on my car (except calls).

Phone does not put call sound (ringing or talking) through headphones

I will be listening to music through headphone, and a call comes and it isnt through headphone, I call with headphones in and call goes through phone speaker as if I do not have hadphones in at all.
If I press the speakerphone button, I will then hear through my headphone, but still cant talk through headphone mic.
I thought the call screen is supposed to give you options (headset, or headphones) but I think only saw it once, only thing the button does now is just switch the speakerphone and off the speakerphone.
Any one run into the same problem?
I have a similar issue except whole connected to my aux receiver in my car i can't take calls through bt i have to pick up the phone

People can't hear me when my headset is plugged in

This does not happen every time and a reboot seems to fix it for a little while however....
When I plug my headset in (no mic on headset) no one can hear me regardless of the phones mute setting. If I unplug the headset everyone can hear me again. Ending a call and starting a new call doesn't resolve this issue either. I have to do a full reboot or not use a headset. It is very annoying. Anyone heard of this issue before?
Seems like the phone is registering the headset as having a microphone when it doesn't. How many bands are on the plug? Stereo headphones generally only have 2 plastic rings on the plug, while headphones with a microphone will have 3. If the headphones plug has 3 bands or isn't sitting in the jack correctly it might be registering as having a mic when it doesn't.
There are only two bands on the headphones
