i did that, i c dump but no download + it asks you to sign in but its still in chinese even after you translate. sorry i know its right infront of my god dam eyes too.

No you don't. Rename it PG05IMG.zip, drop it on the sdcard, reboot and hold down volume down.

Does anyone have any experience with the rom? any better than what we already have on the thunderbolt?
damn cant wait to have this phone rooted with clockwork so that i can test **** out and then restore...

I flashed this and haven't noticed any changes yet. Definately no skype. I'll report back in a day or so if i notice any changes

Well, this might not be big to anyone else, but this update has a significant fix as far as I'm concerned: L2TP IPSec VPN connections would not work with the ROM that shipped on the phone.

I don't mean to scare anyone, but I just need to put this out there because it would simply kill me if someone else suffered because of my inaction:
If the download isn't 400MB then cancel it immediately - do not run it. No joke, I was literally passing out at my computer a month ago downloading one of the earlier T-Bolt RUUs and accidentally downloaded the 115 installer or something. My laptop touchpad was sensitive so I accidentally ran the installer. About a week later I started getting my keys logged and a Gmail account deleted (that I have gotten back thanks to a contact at the company). This can't be a mere coincidence.
It's not a major concern - just click the link in the area that one fellow poster demonstrated in a post on the last page. That's the link you want to click - do not click any others and you'll be fine.

Was just a matter of time before someone would build a malicious version of the image with some crap in it. Kinda funny sometimes how we're all anal about security but we trust an image from a chinese website.

It's simply not possible to flash anything but signed images until you have s-off (perm root). In other words, if this flashes properly, it's real. If you want to understand why, read up on asymmetric cryptography and PKI.

Just a warning!
I just want to warn you about the 4.4.2 update of the india gionee e7 rom. It seems a little suspicious. I personally stay away from it as it charged 9 euros from my sim card without any reason. And not only that, but also it closes the COM ports to prevent you from flashing another firmware.

I talked with them to communicate the problem of SMS and this is what they replied:

Solution for Error 10008 when unlocking Bootloader (aka stucked at 50%)

The issue was on China network, you need an VPN to solve this.
Before associate your mi account, please follow the steps below:
1. You have unlock permission with your Mi account.
2. Download FlyVPN via Google play store.
3. Choose Shanghai server, and press the power On button.
5. Associate your Mi account in Developer option.
6. Boot to Fastboot and flash Mi Unlock.
7. Done.
Tested on the device which hitting error 10008 when trying to associate the Mi account.
Hopefully it does help.

are you able to login Mi account from the ROM ?

That just worked for me , I'm on stable 8.1.1 , VPN connected and miui account linked ... Ran the flash tool and it unlocked first time !!!

i saw many users facing this issue, so i bump up this thread and hopefully it does help.

I am using redmi note 4 32gb rom variant.i had applied for unlocking permission ,the reply for unlocking came within 10 hrs and message contains only that,the persmission is granted for unlocking and there was any other code. when i tried to unlock the bootloader ,it stucked up with 99%and tends me to unlock mi unlock status in developer option.while tried to binding the device an error 86012 with Chinese quotes appeared. i tried all the Ways and also tried ur way but there is no use.Is there any other way to unlock.

i'm sorry to know about that. well you can try to add the mi account in setting, and then add the device after you login to your mi account, and remove the other xiaomi devices from this account. after that connect to the flyme vpn and try to bind your account again via the dev option.

I've tried all possible way to unlock the bootloader for more than 1 month, only with your trick I got the solution. Many thanks broo good job

I think so too, getting the same 86012 error, tried creating a new account, tagging old account, wiping and doing things in different orders, FlyVPN....none works.....promptly got the permission to unlock though, 7 days ago.....regretting that I bought this phone
Quick update: I tried today, and still no luck with the binding. Ignored it anyway and as it was the 7th day from the day I received the permission sms, decided to try again. Used the old unlock tool......bingo! Redmi Note 4, Indian variant, unlocked successfully now for happy flashing!
So guys, wait 7 days, patiently don't try to change ID or create multiple IDs or anything, use one sign up and just wait, it works! and, use the old unlock tool, the new one gave me an error with binding while the old one did things well

The mentioned VPN-App didn't work for me. I couldn't chose a shanghai server there. But an alternative VPN-App that allowed me to connect to China worked fine. Thx!

Hi, I have been reading threads on how to unlock my mediapad 3 (BTV-W09). I wanted to know if anyone with the same model who succefully got his code could tell me how to put the information. I have tryed "BTV-W09", "HUAWEI BTV-W09", etc. with no luck, i always get the msg "Please make sure the information you entered is correct." I have tested firefox, edge, chrome, dolphin, etc.

I've run into the same issue. I don't think it's the correct message. It should say something like "Please notice, we don't provide unlock codes for your device."
I wrote Huawei support and this is the message I got back.

I got the same problem on the unlock web page, and the same email result from Huawei USA.
I finally resorted to paying the $4.49 to DC-Unlocker and successfully unlocked (rooted, installed TWRP, etc.). I *have* read here and there that Huawei requires that you create an account on their site and log into it for some period (I want to say 14 days). I didn't have the patience to try that route, since I wanted to get the device set up and not worry about having to wipe it again in two weeks' time.
[Edit] I did open the special configuration menu (with calculator in landscape mode and a special code I can't remember just now: someting like "()()824579()()="). There, I found a model number "BTV_W09_V2" (note the underscores). Once or twice in my dozens of code-retrieval attempts, this model number gave me a response on the website telling me that my unlock code is "{}". It felt like progress, but was still useless.

Were you guys on EMUI 4 or 5?
I had to downgrade mine to EMUI 4, get the unlock code, unlock it for the first time, adb flash TWRP then upgrade back to EMUI 5, use back the same unlock code to unlock the bootloader again. Once updated to EMUI 5, remember to adb flash TWRP for EMUI 5.

I finally got my unlock code, i wrote an email last week asking for the code on the contact form (http://consumer.huawei.com/en/contact-us/?tag=email). After two or three emails moving me from one department to another, the gave me the code.

Received the same email that says you will brick the device and they don't supply codes, bunch of lies. I also got xposed (think v23) in fine after greatsalon's w09 version of twrp and latest su. Removed the updater and all the other garbage services they use to spy, staying on stock marshmallow for now. Apps used to fly drones like litchi don't work well on nougat but are stable on marshmallow.

I used this method successfully with what I assume is a UK device (bought on ebay) a week ago.
I used VPN for St. Petersburg as Moscow wasn't available.
None of the issues that you mentioned.... I usually factory reset after a major upgrade but haven't this time as the rom is running flawlessly.
Have you done anything other than update, factory reset perhaps? Seems strange that only you appear to be having these issues.

I initially dirty flashed which would normally be fine. After discovering the issue, I factory reset however issue remains.
There are other users with this issue.

- download and update the precious

Yes...and Netflix. There's something in the coding that some apps see as a circumvention of security (root).
We know it's not a true root...no root checking apps detect root and luckily my banking app can detect root in any scenario, but it is working (I've come to this phone after years 6 years of custom ROMs), but something is missing from this firmware.
I mentioned in another thread, that I have been in touch with Google about this an they have suggested that Oppo may not have submitted their software for verification which is leading to this error.

Actually in the Google play settings Mine is not certified.but does it matter? however I don't use Google pay. I think this certification is a matter of days .this is a may be caused by regionalization by wave of updates. the next security update should be fixed.wait and see .
Oppo is a serious company Chinese Group BBK (with Vivo, OnePlus and Realme) ...

After update c11 - the device says google play is certified but you still cant use it for Google Pay.

Wow they pushed that updates very fast - downloading now as well. If it fixes the play store issue thats at least something good. Hopefully the google pay issue is worked out quickly enough
