[ INFO/FIRMWARE ] Firmware 23.0.1.A.3.12 + Root + Recovery

Finally!!
After using 2 days of reading and learning, I`ve got the latest firmware (23.0.1.A.3.12) from Taiwan rooted and with recovery working flawless.
And when "I" is beeing mentioned, ALL credits goes to: DooMLorD, [NUT], Phil3759, bin4ry, geohot and several others!
** DOWNLOAD: hxxps://mega.co.nz/#F!Lh422LgQ!qz_DQnBKzoXVTRTwx05Clw
** BEWARE: INSTALLATION SCRIPTS ARE NOT COMPLETE, YOU GOT TO READ THE README!
Sadly, the changelog for this firmware is missing all over internet, but there is definitly some APN / Carrier update and it contains some minor bugsfixes.
The device System UI also seems to be a bit smoother.

I think this update just to fix some issues of mobile signal of Taiwan's carriers, and some bloatware. I compared files' size in both of 167 and 3.12 firmware, seem nothing is changed.
noob questions
installing this, gonna delete wipe my cell ?
how do i root it ive already installed it through ota update.

no major update, its only a small carrier update.
Has anybody successfully rooted using this? Feel like there should be a bit more fanfare.....

This looks fishy
This does not work for me. Device gets not detected...

Any opinions regarding rooting Note 5....
... with respect to Sprint, T-Mobile vs AT&T and Verizon?
Will there be the same problems with Verizon and AT&T Note 5 with locked bootloader as there were with the Note 4s?
Based on this http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/general/root-pingpongroot-s6-root-tool-t3103016,
maybe all Note 5 versions will behave similarly, since it's just a knock-off off the Galaxy S6 ?!?
Any help appreciated a lot! - Looking to buy next Friday and Sprint is more expensive, but I need some chance of proper root in the not too distant future...

I suppose the guys behind ping-pong root can help us out....

Not unless they find a brand new exploit. The ping ping root exploit has been closed and never open for business again.

So recently i was on kikkat had root privileges and well i decided to update my tablet hoping i would find a root method for lollipop. well i been looking everywhere in different websites and a few threads here. But I have not found any methods for lollipop 5.0.2.
Any help would be appreciated even a downgrade process but i'm mostly looking if i can root it on this version.
Regards,
Henri Guevara
I'm having the same problem

So. Recent ly i had this EXACT same problem, but i checked 2 months later, and they had a root method ready. If you have the v410 (AT&T), Then you're in luck. There is this tool out there called kingroot, (link: kingroot.net/wap) And you are supposed to download this... Step 1: Enable installation of unsecure apps

NOUGAT IN POLAND!!! DOWNLOADING RIGHT NOW, SO EXCITED!!!
I ve root..can i update normally or i have to download the zip and flash via custom recovery?
Working pretty well, seems to be a little bit faster than MM
Feels snappier now. It also supports the "fastboot oem off-mode-charge 0" command now too, so its the perfect replacement for specialized Nexus 7 installs.
So uh... if I have root, what do I do to get it to nougat rooted?
The stability/cuts with WiFi is better in this new ota?
Flash with full version ota with FlashFire it'll inject root and keep the TWRP recovery all in one shot.
Any idea for release date on LTE no-US model ? (RoW)
I didn't have the update
I tried FlashFire it got me stuck in a boot loop
Got the update notification as well! Downloading it right now!
Full for wi-fi k1 5.0
