And frustrated due to camera quality in all lollipop based roms
I ported the stock camera from stock rom of lenovo a6000
Now u can use this camera on all lollipop based roms like cm 12,xoplax,imod,mokee
Steps to install:
Just install like normal apk no need to flash via recovery
Features:
Great camera quality like stock kitkat roms
Panorama mode
Hdr mode

im 64 bit user.......my device lenovo a 6000 plus......i also tried xoplax 64 bit os i hav successfully installed dis apk
If you are getting the error "app not installed", uninstall aosp camera and then install vibe ui camera. Since both are named camera2 package installer tries to install vibe ui camera as an update to aosp camera which causes this error

To remove AOSP Camera package
1. Install any terminal emulator app
$ su
$ mount -o rw,remount /system
$ rm -f /system/app/Camera2/Camera2.apk
then install this ported .apk file
u can also do this from ADB Shell https://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Barebones

Or you can simply delete it from System/App with Root Browser or any other file manager with access to system folder
Working on SONY Xperia M4 Aqua on stock ROM 26.1.A.2.167, rooted, unlocked BL.
Hardware button working great too.
Only two "small" problems:
1) Max resolution is 8MPx (our phone 8MPx 16:9 or 13MPx 4:3)
2) Software keys (home,back,recent apps) dont miss and it overlapping with camera shutter button (screen)
But anyway, good job.

Flash the zip. Maybe it fails. Now read the text displayed by the recovery log. Says you must mount system manually on TWRP or CWM, and reflash zip.

I've extracted the walkman app and installed it normally and it worked flawlessly on CM12.1 Hammerheadcaf.
A bit off topic: I tried to install the walkman app on my Stock G2 Lollipop 5.0.2, it got installed, but when I open the app, it Force closes, the same with lower "8" version ports. It used to work on Stock G2 Kitkat.

This features requieres additional Sony files. You can use Viper4Android, its workin' perfectly with Walkman for me.

Thats not off topic dont worry
Try to make a logcat, or make a backup of Stock LP rom, and flash the Sony files flashable zip to see if it resolves. I recommend you to make a backup in the case of flashin results in a bootloop, i just tested it on Euphoria-OS AOSP on my Nexus 5.
If not, make a logcat extract and submit it to pastebin.com, and post the link

Are you sure /system is mounted ? If yes, maybe there's a problem with your TWRP version

Tried multiple times to restart, deodex system apps, and grabbed logcats, but still crashes and never reached any bootanimation, so i stopped it for now, hoping somebody one day will help me

I dont faced it personally.. Dont use CWM, its discontinued, use TWRP instead, and it should work.
I just updated Music app to 9.0.1.A.3.0 Beta
Sony seems to have added a quick button, with new settings, allowing to read some playlists.

Knowing bugs:
- Camera not working
- Extcard not detected, but you can use file manager to copy extcard content to sdcard from /mnt/media_rw path, see this commit to fix it, confirmed working by me ?
- no dt2w on settings, but you can enabled it manually, type su -c echo enabled >> /sys/devices/virtual/input/max1187x/power/wakeup in terminal app, need to retype after reboot
- You tell

Hi too, i'm confusing about this, the latest build of vanir rom is android 6.0.1 not 5.1.1, also vanir rom is based on cyanogenmod, not a pure aosp, that's why they have cm theme engine and similar to cm ..
Oh so the latest build have camera working ?, i'll test later, i'm on 0104 build and my camera's still error

No no no, cm based rom can use any gapps (for now), because (see my attachment)
Also i feel more battery friendly :laugh:
I can tell you, that open gapps and Bank gapps dont work i get fc of gp Services in Setup Wizard. I didnt Boot between flashing!
If you Boot up Rom and then install gapps, Setup Wizard is perma fc...

Even I've not used it yet but I guess it has an issue. After a long time using with WiFi, mobile data won't work unless doing a reboot or toggle airplane mode (this issue is caused by baseband), in Carbon ROM, mobile data even got FCs. I've just backed to stock yesterday, wish I read this post earlier.
The mobile data issue can be fixed by replace the /system/etc/firmware folder, I replaced one from stock sony but got another issue with bluetooth, you can give a try with the firmware which is taken from this, test it and report.

Can confirm this bug. After toggling airplane mode on and off, mobile data is there.
Update:
Unpacked the system.img from rcstars MM and replaced the system/etc/firmware folder. Will test and report
Update2:
Booted up without problem, wifi and mobile data working. Will activate Wifi for now and test in some minutes if mobile data is working

Turning of wifi after 1 hour. Instant switch to mobile data working fine. Now testing longer time

Do you use it as a daily driver? I'm backing everyting up to make the switch from CM due to obvious reasons but I want to make sure I'm picking the most stable rom out there that's also 7.1
Currently using Nitrogen OS (2017/01/08), 4.0.1.c7-00013 firmware, reporting zero issues with ColorOS 2.67+camera+change.zip flash. I do not flash the CM_HAL_MOD.zip.

Ok one more question. When I flash the rom, will it be pre-rooted, or will it give me the option to do so. I personally don't want a active root on it due to certain apps I use that automatically don't work if the phone is rooted.

Sorry but probably last question. Which GAPPS should I go for to also get full functionality like the Google assistant and such. So far I tried flashing the ARM Stock but it seems to get an error and not install. Something about insufficient storage in the System Partition.

Mini is the maximum size of Gapps I guess supported by this ROM. After flashing just install 'get assistant' app from play store for Google assistant, I think in the next build the ROM has out of box Google assistant so need for a hack.

So I got the GAPPS installed. Getting a smaller version worked just fine. But I still have an issue with the iSu program. I got the apk and I installed that, but disabling Root in the app still didn't allow me to launch my app. I tried reading through the instructions but they aren't very clear, more specifically if i should also disable SELinux and what those zip files are and how to install them which are the: iSu_kernel_Reboot_Support_V_2_x_and_up_Enforcing

Try flashing enforcing one through twrp
So guys there were many people who wanted to enable oss hal on there old favourite nougat roms , so here i found a way to enable oss hal on Nougat roms, this may not work on H2os or Zui Although you can try. I tested this personally on viper,it works well
So here we go,
(1) Make sure You Know how to use root explorers.
(2) Now extract the oss.zip
(3)Now Paste the following files in Root/system/lib
° libmm-qcamera.so
°libmmcamera_interface.so
°libmmjpeg_interface.so
°libqomx_core.so
(4) Now paste the following file in Root/system/lib/hw
°camera.msm8996.so
(5) Now paste the following file in Root/system/bin
° mm-qcamera-app

if you want to use portrait mod using Google camera mod app you have to enable the oss function in the rom. Which is already enabled in most of the oreo roms.
Make a flashable zip and easy out the process.
Will help people who only know how to flash..

So here we go,
(1) Make sure You Know how to use root explorers.
(2) Now extract the oss.zip
(3)Now Paste the following files in Root/system/lib
° libmm-qcamera.so
°libmmcamera_interface.so
°libmmjpeg_interface.so
°libqomx_core.so
(4) Now paste the following file in Root/system/lib/hw
°camera.msm8996.so
(5) Now paste the following file in Root/system/bin
° mm-qcamera-app
(6) Reboot
(7) Boom! Now oss is enabled on your rom, Enjoy!

I checked with Gcam Mod and it works. On AEX 4.6
Renamed the original files and pasted these files in the appropriate location with same permissions

Hi everyone,
the whole last week I tried to install mokee 9.
Here is what I tired:
1. Installed basic files for CN 2.10 Version with nubia emergency tool
2. Installed CN 3.23 with stock recovery and let it boot one time.
3. enable bootloaderunlock und usb debugging.
4. boot to fastboot und flashed TWRP (twrp_3.2.3_nx595j_Z17S_20190427.img from 4PDA.ru)
5. Boot to TWRP and wiped all exept internal, then flash mokee and gapps nano.
6. Tried to boot mokee
while booting I see thje mokee boot scren a couple of minutes and then the phone reboots direct to TWRP.
Whre is my fault?
Does anybody has a hint for me?

As I have read treble Roms have problems with NFC. I need this for google pay.

Do you now how to get stock cam working with pie?
Is there a working gcam mod with nightsight(from Versiuon 6.1 on) thats full working, perhaps also with the 23mpix sensor?

Fu24 Gcam Mod works for me on Havoc (no NFC problems) but I never could make it work with 23mp.
Maybe with Mokee Premium installed first and then flashing PT...?

According to other threads stock cam was included in former premium builds but not in the actual downloadable versions.

At the moment I habve Mokee 7.1.2 and have a standby drain of ~0,7 %/h
PT=Project Treble-
Havoc: No MTP, Kernel doesn´t go to Deep Sleep after charging/needs a reboot (That´s a problem of the Mokee Kernel) Fingerprint after reboot not working, solution is to restart SytemUI.
Battery is Ok for me, 60% after a day of normal usage, but not as this good (But Havoc is another Level compared with Mokee) Did not know the lack of wall chargers in the Oberpfalz

Hello,
got mokee 9 installed, thanks to Tomcar for the hint with formating data.
Now I'm trying to get nubia camera working.
Got it installed via Magisk from the gdrive archive by Spencer_D and could start it.
Only problem is that I can see for around a second the viewfinder picture an then it gets dark.
Tried several 3in1 files but everytime the same.
Selinux was set to permissive.
Any idea?
