[q] big let down by htc brand!!!

What a big let down by htc brand,I was sell my iPhone 3GS to go for new desire HD ,And now they realise day can even 16.10.2010!hm? More than a week without any smartphone!on the handtec website on sunday they was information ship on week commercing 4th then I was think I will give a try new phone desire HD cos was very unsure what to choice iphone4 or new baby of htc,I decided to go for htc,and now not sure when I will have new phone week commercing 11th or maybe even later this month big let down for me,cos I was paying for something what I don't even exactly know when I will get it
Interested how many of ppl like me on here,feeling down by htc brand

HTC behave similar to MS Xbox 360. I dunno why HTC can't do better.

Sites have been listing 11th October since the announcement, I don't see the big deal here. Any sites listing for earlier dates were simply wrong weren't they, unless we get any dates past the 11th.

Guyz, very obvious that the release date will be late and please, read the asterisk for conditions applied: The release date can be changed without notification... So don't blame anyone... HTC only said they will release it by October, which means any date in Oct will still be within the time frame they set... isn't it?

How very rude are you! What you know about English market? If they take it pre order and money from your accunt they must supply you in 14 days with the product! If they don't they broken sales agreement and full amount must be refund?

I think you will find that they do not take any money until the phone has been despatched. The price is still not fixed! Thats how Handtec operate so im sure the rest are the same. In anycase, handtec stated first shipment due week commencing 4th October - which does not imply the 4th october.
From what i understand, HTC are shipping but to mobile phone networks first.

Its really not a big deal, it arrives when it arrives. Christ you sound like a child of 8 that has been told Christmas is cancelled. Cool your jets sparky its only a phone. Believe it or not you still be alive, its not going to kill you waiting a few days.
I've pre ordered mine form Amazon and they don't take any money until its shipped. If you have fallen for another retailers tricks then that's really your problem. Play.com are also listing the 11th (they also dont take the money until they ship).
As for your garbage about supplying in 14 days - they cant supply if they don't have the product. YES if you ordered a Desire and it didn't arrive then you may have a point has the product is on the market - the HD and the Z are PRE ORDERS!!!! I've use Amazon for years and i trust them - i ain't trusting no company that "Claims" they will have it early

Not me. Unlike you, I can read and through experience of living on the bleeding edge of gadgetry, I realise that release dates are never to be banked on.
Show me a link to an "official" HTC press statement claiming the HTC Desire HD would be released on October 6th. Or the 11th. Please - find me one. NOT a review/blog/ethusiast/seller website "claiming" it will be released on October 6th/11th. Show me the "HTC published link" that claims the phone will be released on October 6th.

Handtec took my money as well when I ordered it a week or two ago, however I'm unsure if that has something to do with it being an international order or not. Same has been said from other Australian customers on a different forum I'm on however.
I don't care...the exchange rates been good for us of later and it means I know what I'm paying rather than wondering or stressing about the exchange rate each day.

I think it is sold out in the UK now. Amazon UK don't seem to have received any stock as far as I can see despite taking my order on the 9th when they promised availability on the 18th. Now they say July. Another Honeycomb tablet I wanted to buy and no one wanted to sell to me. Maybe whenever HTC come out with a larger tablet they will let someone sell me one. Failing that I'll get the iPad 3.

Man people just can't spend 5 minutes researching on their own.

The keyboard bundle is not available yet, but it can be bought separately direct from Asus.
Ebuyer had 40+ in stock earlier this week, but have sold out now. If you want one, you need to be quick because the stock doesn't last long.

The keyboard package sold out everywhere last week....
And everywhere else, the release date is 1 June - so you can only pre-order :-(
Although Overclockers has the bundle on with ETA 16th May.
I checked on Asus UK to see if you could buy the dock separately direct from them but it just redirects you to the resellers...

You could order the dock from Asus directly for £50 but that was only if you ordered or bought the tablet before the 22nd I think it was. You wouldn't get that deal if you bought one now.
I feel bad for all the people who preordered and have been screwed around, I just walked into a comet store and bought mine..

Also, yesterday I played on comet website and booking the transformer will give you a delivery date starting with 2nd of May.
So, I am guessing that is when the new stock will be made available in UK. At least this is when they expect.

The bundle with the keyboard hasn't been released yet, so technically it can't have sold out because it's never been sold except as a preorder.

As said above about the keyboard never being stocked but according to both Asus UK's facebook and twitter it'll be with stores end of next week or beginning of wc 9th depending on internal retailer distribution times. I'll be popping over to comet and curry's next weekend and see if they know anything about the expected delivery.

For all the US owners that ordered from OPPOSTYLE, how long did it take from the time you ordered to the time you had the device in hand? Was a signature required?
I ordered mine on May 4th and was wondering if I would receive it this week. So far the status is "Preparation in progress".

Ordered on a Saturday morning...so thats 2 days out right there.
But total from order to doorstep for me will be 10 - 12 days. A little off but I have a feeling they were in between batches. Due to the increased reviews coming out in the last couple of week. Your status changed quicker than mine so bet you are more on target.
The shipment movement is the same for anyone here in the US before it goes to your region of the country. This is mine at the moment.

So yea.....DHL meant business when the package got state side. I retract my original estimate of 10-12 and it is now 8, but I ordered on the weekend.

I ordered from Amazon Thursday night. It qualified for Prime, so free shipping. I just picked it up from a UPS facility this morning. It shipped from Kentucky. Device feels awesome in hand!

wow! I ordered on May 4th and got my tracking info this morning. When I tracked it this morning, it was still in Hong Kong. This afternoon when I tracked it again, it was in Cincinnati!! It has cleared customs and I am less than 2 hours from Cincy so hopefully I will get it tomorrow, May 7th. That is impressive! Took me a week to get my Nexus 4 and it shipped from right here at the Louisville UPS hub! lol!

Sadly, mine has been 'stuck' in China. It has had
"5 Clearance event SHENZHEN - CHINA, PEOPLES REPUBLIC 18:49"
for the past 36 hours.
I think I'll give them a call today as it may be a customs issue.

My Find 5 was ordered on a Thursday early morning (around 2AM CST) and arrived on that following Monday. I assume it would have been there even sooner had it not been for the weekend. All in all, great speed/great service.

Ordered the 9th, shipped on the 13th and just got a call from DHL letting me know it will be here tomorrow.

On the tracking. Where is your located the the minute? I ordered the 10th and it's currently in Germany on a flight to east Midlands in the UK. About 40 minutes from me. So want to know if I will get mine tomorrow now.

Personally, I ordered mine during the second batch on 11/5. To be honest, it was a long weeks' worth of stress and while a lot of others are experiencing that same stress, day by day we're getting closer to the Nexus 6.

I bought one of every Nexus item google showed off this year. So I know how you feel.

Was able to get an order in today for a 32GB blue. Still holding out for a 64, though, and if I can get one of those, I'll obviously cancel the 32. But not feeling too confident about that, given how quickly the 64s get snatched up, heh...
Anyway, my shipping estimate says 11/21. I can live with a 32, but obviously 64 would be nicer.

I got my order in today for a 32GB Blue, but really wanted a 64GB Blue.
My shipping date is 11/26 right now. I am hoping it will ship sooner, like the Nexus 5, but the nexus 5 I ordered on release day and it shipped the same day, so.... that is out. I just hope it ships well before the 26th.

I figure my player is going to ship too. I got a notice this morning about my cc on the player having a problem processing. I actually just had that card replaced so I updated the card for the player order.

Local tax rates and shipping options will move that number around. Mines $709 with expedited shipping but if he has slightly higher tax that would be why.

Has anyone received their S8 free promotional items?

I was one of the lucky few who got their S8 early and was able to snag one of the very few $99 full immersive bundles. Had it confirmed last Thursday and haven't heard anything since. I would call Samsung and ask but I don't really have 4 hours to sit around on hold just to ask a question.
Has anyone received their stuff yet? I've only seen one comment of someone getting the shipment email.

Mine shipped yesterday supposed to have it FedEx end of day tomorrow account to the tracking number. I didn't get the immersive bundle though.

That I did. I bought 1 Galaxy S8 and the Shop Samsung App let me + the quantity of the Immersive bundle Promo until I stopped at 10. Cost me $1,056 after tax. I wasn't expecting it to allow me to proceed with the order. Must have been an oversight by Samsung.

yeah me too, each item by itself cost at least $100. Im leaning closer to $350.

If you do actually get all the extra Immersive bundles, I will glady purchase 1 from you please if you will be selling them for a reasonable amount.

I received my order this morning but sadly, Samsung only sent 9 boxes instead of the 10 I paid for.
