Pure Marshmallow ROM ( Work In Progress) - Nexus 6 General

Hey guys!!! Some of you might know me if you previously had a GS4 AT&T with lock bootloader. Anyways @npjohnson and I working on a ROM together call Pure Marshmallow(PM) its not ready yet for public release, but good enough as a daily driver. We just need your feedback please go ahead give PM a try and let us know how it goes, and don't forget to follow the development on G+ Community, you can report bugs and features request there. (NB) Please flash the Gapps provided and clean flash always required.
ScreenShots

Very interested in trying out your ROM. I'm assuming the build from the 28th is the latest? And the Benzo gapps posted are the ones recommended as well? Also, is SuperSU included? And finally, is the stock kernel permissive or enforcing?
Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk

you might want to name it something else, as there is already a "pure" rom for this phone in the dev section...

Enforcing, @npjohnson working on it, will be permissive soon, or flash HC Kernel

Will do soon, as we just started, we don't have a name yet, and still work in progress, once we ready for the public we'll definitely call it something else.

good idea, as that will save you from dealing with alot of nasty posts...

I would like to give ur ROM a try.

The link in OP, you can download it.

New Test ROM coming soon, Name changed as well.

Like the new name. Can't wait for the new build.

Heck yeah!!!! Its nice to see a familiar name on this device now I loved the S4 ROM! I would gladly be willing to test this out!

Would probably see a lot more feedback if this were in the development section
Regardless, gj bro I can't wait to try this ROM out.

ROM Moved to development sections guys

Hey all. Been a while since my last release of anything, which was sense based, but I really wanted to start learning android and have a better perspective of it. I decided to dig a bit more into compiling android. Started horsing around with github and learned to start compiling my own builds from aosp wih the help from cmsrc, evervolv, and a few others githubs. Since the release of gingerbread to aosp, i moved away from sense. There are things that i do miss about sense, but the usability of the phone without it is just unmatched imho. Many people use or have used cyanogenmod. IMHO is a great open source project that has some of the best devs out there. I have always been more into the 'vanilla' look opposed to the themed and aftermarket. Recently i have been compiling gingerbread for the evo and mt4g and have had nothing but the best reviews. Basically the reason why i am here. Wondering if there was any interest in a few of my builds. Main reason from moving away from CM6/7 (cyanogenmod), ADW launcher and the extra added bloat(sorry) and themes. Battery life will always be one of my main concerns. Everything should work!

1.3 build is based off 2.3.7. (Thanks cm team) and cm kernel 2.6.35.7 (thanks cm team).
1.2.1 build is based off 2.3.4. (Thanks cm team) and cm kernel 2.6.35.7 (thanks cm team).

Just a quick update on this. I've been chatting with the developer of the kitchen that I used to cook up the rom, trying to figure out what went wrong. Hopefully we'll have this figured out soon and finally have an alternate to fully stock rom on this device! Keep your fingers crossed!!

Sounds good! You might want to leave the Device Unlock app in the rom btw as it's the only way to carrier unlock this device.

Another quick update for anybody lurking on this thread. We have lift off! lol. Me and bogarty were both able to flash my modified/slimmed down stock rom, So far the rom seems to be running pretty well. I'm making just a few more adjustments before a public release. Soon we will have something a little better then stock for this device. I hope everybody's as excited as I am. And who knows, hopefully we can still get a cm rom by the end of this year (or in general for that matter)

I've been about to say the same. It's good you've made Pure Nexus for N BUT if that is home made keep it with yourself. You use github? The sources all yours? If not you are facing troubles as you've likely not been given permissions by the one having maintained the Pure Nexus for quite a while. Nor you quoted him in OP.

I just shared the first ROMs nougat , I'm not a developer '-' i'm not make this ROMs
Terribly unsafe post. No one knows who compiled this, no source code, nothing. Do NOT flash, just to be safe at least.
Do not flash, Uberstock is not ready for prime time if you need ROMs go to the threads themselves.

You don't get the point. It's not hate. It's called being safe. It's one thing to download an app you don't know where it came from and install it on your phone but to uninstall an entire operating system that you are unsure where it came from? No way to report bugs? What happens if flashing the wrong breaks your device? Where are you supposed to get help at? Are you going to help people? I agree, if you were in need of a new get rom that bad then search the forums
Exactly. No hate but these are rip off roms and unsafe.

Miui possible?

Just wondering because on every Samsung device I've had before there was a MIUI rom available. It's based on TouchWiz anyways. If anyone has any info or opinions please share your thoughts. I'd really like a developer to come in and maybe give some advice? That'd be awesome maybe someone could build a rom? I really hope our locked bootloader doesn't cut us off from this as well...

How many developers working on Ascend XT?

I know there is Custom Rom thread but it's kinda outdated and most devs updates are spread into different threads.
But my main question is:
Who are currently working on custom roms?
Which version and base? RR, Lineage, MM or Nougat etc....
Obviously it will not ask any ETA... Im patiently waiting for any rom not stock based. And hope the best for the devs can complete the task.

Not the same... i was asking what was going on with custom roms because there was no sign of active developments.
Now the question is: how many are working on it and their status.
