[System Pull] [LG-H901BK_V10c] T-Mobile LG V10 - T-Mobile LG V10 Android Development

Hope this helps out. This was after I unlocked bootloader and re-setup my phone (so there are some apps installed). Total unpacked size is 3.26GB, zip is 1.52GB.
Folder - https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B5fMrmukgO0NeG12S1U1TlJNX1U&usp=sharing
Full Pull Zip - https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5fMrmukgO0NOE0zRGZBenNVSDQ/view?usp=sharing

Sorry for the seemingly noob question, but I've unlocked, rooted, installed ROMs, and modded system directories for many years but am unfamiliar with system pulls. What is the purpose of this and how can it be used on the new T-Mobile V10? Thanks.

It can't. It's just a dump of the system partition. Usually benefits people with other devices looking for something off this device. Maybe an updated app or lib.

As soon as @TheJesus and I can get online at the same time we might be able to come up with something...

You guys are quick. Just got mine on JoD, but don't want to do too much until we have a way to return to 100% stock.
Very cool!

Bahaha, that was the first place I looked

If someone could modify this to be able to prompt me for an unlock code when I enter a different SIM card, I would be very, very happy. Apparently T-Mobile does something to stop the prompt from coming up, and I want to be able to unlock it almost immediately. I'm on my way to get the phone now, but I don't want to come home with a useless paperweight.
Apparently a similar stock ROM was created for the LG G4 as it had the same problem. I would love to see a ROM for this once TWRP is publicly released for the V10!

i thought you had to wait at least 15 days since you been using the device to qualify for sim unlocking your phone. tmobile told me that on the phone before.

Gingerbread for AT&T users with locked bootloaders

At this point it seems that once flashing this you may not be able to revert to a lower firmware without unlocking your BL! This build also may not receive OTAs. So in summary flashing this may cripple your ability to OTA!
URGENT!! Flashing any SBF 1.8.3, 1.5.7, or 1.2.6 using RSD after updating via this method results in permabrick!

No need for this thread anymore Samcripp has put together way better instructions and is receiving way more traffic please use his thread

1. Flash 1.8.3 SBF
2. Download file rename update.zip
3. Place file in root of your EXTERNAL SDCARD
4. Reboot into stock recovery and apply update.zip
File is here...
This has been decided to be causing to much damage so the file has been removed. Thread can remain open for support though.

There are still some people out there that have not unlocked their bootloaders, this is for those people.
You linked to "Blur_Version.4.1.83.MB860.ATT.en.US.zip". This is 1.83... not gingerbread.
If it is GB, why the file name is 4.1.8.3?

[REF][TOT] V510 Stock Firmware (possibly covert V500 into V510)

Below is stock firmware(.tot) for V510...
HERE for V510 stock .tot, LG Flash .dll and individual partitions
LG Flash directions etc can be found here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2448960
Just apply same steps but with G Pad tot/dll instead.
Below are some conversion ideas... only try them at your own risk!!! They may result in a hard brick.
So which brave soul will try converting their current non-GPE G Pad into a GPE?
If LG hasn't added any tricks... flashing the stock V510 .tot file into the device should work. I've also included just the individual partitions for the boot chain... modem.. etc. Those might be able to be flashed to the V500 instead of running the entire tot if you only want an unlocked bootloader but nothing else. Loki would no longer be required at that point. If flashing just the bootchain.. I would flash aboot, sbl1, sbl2, sbl3 at minimum.
To flash the .tot.. LG Flash 1.8 is required. To flash the partitions... you'd use dd commands via adb shell.
example:
adb shell
dd if=/sdcard/aboot.img of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/aboot
I would love to see this converted to kitkat 4.4.. =D but not willing to risk it myself..
I'll risk it later, considering we've got a way out. Very exciting!

check the root LG folder in my link i posted in OP.
is 1.8 needed for G Pad? The dlls suggest only needing 1.6.
probably won't work given that secure boot is on, once it's on it can't be disabled at least on the on the snapdragon 600+, you'll probably just hard brick it
What is the offsets for LGV510AT-00-V10d-NA-XX-NOV-15-2013-KRT16O.L004-USER-16G.tot?
I want to extract system.img, but it's not in the OP link, I could do it myself if I knew the offsets of where it begins/ends.
Found it, thanks. It notified me that my version was out of date. What do you think? Hard brick coming or recoverable? No liability, just want your honest opinion @autoprime

i havent rebooted to linux yet to make a recovery so i can do it properly. but that should boot the stock kernel which ive modifed to inject su binary, youll then need to install supersu from the play store (before or after) booting the image is very important as flahsing it will render your device in operable, while just booting it is if it goes sideways then a reboot will clear it back out
thank you

If you are unlocked and running a global rom, you can try but take the stock kernel boot.img backup just in case it loops. Its best to rewrite all partitions on the T mobile device if you are unlocked which can be done by using the unbrick tool once :good:
Edit: You should follow this thread for a detailed discussion :good:
U may have to change the device check for any op6 kernel...they all boot. I tested every kernel. Flash rules.. And we can't use the tool to rewrite the critical partitions, we don't have access to them..can u please see why we cannot access them even with fastboot oem unlock_critical? T-Mobile users currently cannot use the unbrick tool to overwrite critical partitions due to a hardware/software check that mismatches.
