After you flash squid's kernel, the led notification light will start to work automatically.
However on a stock rom you won't see any options to customize it. You would need to install squid's CM.

I have an S4 that came with mk2. I rooted it and have SS. I tried dark carnage, venomous VX, gravitron, and SHOshock. I want a slimmed down to nothing Rom with Gapps, I would also like Battery percentage in status bar and notification toggles of wifi, mobile data and flashlight. Any suggestions? Thanks for any suggestions!

All we can run is TW Roms unless we get a Kexec Kernel. You can slim down any ROM and use Exposed to add alot of custom features you can display battery percentage in status bar on the stock ROM under display settings.
Please take some time to read and research the materials in the development threads.
Members are expected to read and do their own research on these matters, and to make their own independent determinations as to what is best for them.

For a particular app? Like notifications of sth?

This is the main reason I am stuck on 4.2.2 is so that JKay Deluxe works to enable LED with screen on. It surely must be possible to mod so the LED works with screen on for 4.4.4.
I won't mind if the mod is app specific

I was looking for something global, but if it's app specific it will be okey for me. Like gmail, hangouts and skype.
It is definitely possible because this LED behavior is available in 4.2.2. Also in 4.4.4 even the LED is on during bootanimation.
Ok, I got this.
Finally, I got it. I am gonna be damned for how I missed this one. XLED Xposed module got it worked!

I disabled many of the original apps, such as their SMS app, music app, galleries etc.
for my messaging app I added the Google Messenger app.
I've noticed that my LED notification lights don't work for anything. They light up when charging (green red and yellow), but messenger, fbook, snapchat, gmail, etc don't give any lights.
I attempted to use Light Flow and Light Manager, but neither helped.
Any suggestions?
EDIT SOLUTION:
I figured it out. My Display and Lights setting had reverted back to "disabled" after I applied the CM11 updates and I hadn't noticed. Der.

It's faster. Was actually waiting for a ROM with theme engine. It's great for me.
cool, same here with themes. rockin the pitch black theme by westcrip. lookin into sokp, it boots but data is nada. id like to recompile the omni kernel with my custom toolchain 4.9.1 gcc, experiencing difficulty atm. same issue building the omni kernel with googles toolchains. the kernel compiles, and is .2 mb less than humberos's 5.0.2 build at 7mb (6.8) . my kernel build with googles toolchains boots but "phone unfortunately stops" window and then a reboot occurs. any devs familiar with this issue? i was experiencing a similair issue compiling the 5.0 tuna kernel for my nexus.
edit: 5.1.1 compiles and boots. recompiling with 4.9.1

edit:sabermod bootloops. compiles and boots with linaro. i will recompile the toolchain with current, recompile, and update if compiling is successful.

I also got those errors and I stopped it in the middle but let it run. It works.

those are not errors
It seen pretty good!
I think the only feature missing is the ability to use hardware buttons.
EDIT: I mean, ONLY the hardware buttons.
It can be done just add :
qemu.hw.mainkeys=1
to the file /system/build.prop
EDIT 2: Forget it. I realized that I am so stupid. It had the feature.
The only thing I noticed non working is the color calibration.
This ROM is awesome! Long live to the captivate!
Notification Bar Bug
The notification stops working means the animation veiw when i pull it down somtime it don't go back as it is...:crying::crying::crying:
My notification bar gets messed when i change brightness. Only way to make it work properly after that is to change the status bar from theme manager. No need to change the entire theme... just the status bar

Thanks dude, but my menus are not all in english. Can you please tell me which # menu is torchlight?
Also, I cant get out of the vibration menu.. it says press VOLUME UP VOLUME DOWN MENU and BACK, I press VOLUME UP, VOLUME DOWN, and BACK and they dissapear, but when I press MENU the cell auto blocks (as it should).
The pictures are still yelllow =(
