I looked up the system information, TV plus 1S remained on the Android 5.0 level and system versions of the EUI the EUI 5.5 is the latest, but due to informal sales version in the hands of, the system should not be authentic, just ....
32GB ROM, actual available after boot is 24.62GB, because the system ROM 4.5GB, prove letv 1S is by no means "food".
3GB RAM, then started up about 1.3GB can be used. This is possible.

great phone and beautiful too how much?

<Mod Edit - Link Removed.> seems to be the only one selling it so far - $242.49$225.99US. Expected ship date of Nov 20. The Le 1 was pretty well reviewed, hope this one is just as good.

wow, it looks nice, i am expecting to get one to show you.

hey guys, I just made a preview video of the Letv Le 1s. All you need to know in 2 minutes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-7tSxKFJgZo

Out of curiosity, isn't 45k quite low for an Antutu score with this processor? My K3 note with an MT6752 hits 45k. I'd expect this to be up in the 50's, at least.
Edit: I stand corrected. Apparently this is indeed approximately where this processor benchmarks.

I've order this phone yesterday from spemall.com. They send me info that it should be shipped before 10th november So I'm waiting

Mine was shipped today

Build quality is awsome!
I hope they release an international rom without the chinese bloatware..
Also Nova Launcher crashes, most likely its just incompatibility, there's no option on settings to set default launcher. I wish they update this ASAP

I buy one too.. If someone find a international (multilangauge) rom or a way to root the phone please post it here..

Yes, I think it's possible, but I hope they sent it to me with stock EUI, because usually with gapps the Chinese stores install some Chinese bloatware and frequently malware apps....

There are a lot of 200 dollars phones on the market. And the competition is intense in this price range. Elephone are trying to make an impressively designed phone, and now they achieved a new level of premium design. Now you have a smartphone that's well worthy waiting for. The display aspect ratio is obviously high, almost frameless on the sides. The metal-rimmed Elephone P7000 Pioneer looks sharp and catchy. The speaker is located at the bottom of the phone, which has better sound experience than rear speaker. There is an iphone like touch fingerprint ID on the back below the camera. No more scans, but one touch. The touch ID will recognize your fingerprint from any aspect as it's a 360 degree identifier.
The Elephone Pioneer packs the MTK6752, Octa core 64-bit SoC, due to the high potential of the chipset, it uses 3GB of RAM. And Mali-T760 GPU comes with the SoC, which is still the most powerful GPU. The rear camera is 16MP with sony sensor, and the front camera is 8MP. Furthermore, it has impressive 5.5-inch 1080p FHD display, that's undoubtedly clear and sharp. The battery is not left out for such a big display, it has 3450mAh.
Even more, Elephone will make Android 5.0 and CM available later after the release. And more UIs will be made by their developers and fans. If you want to change your phones and still hesitate about which one to buy, you have another better choice over all, Elephone P7000, 199.99 USD for pre-sale on most china phone shops!

The phone has a 3450 mAh battery, for that the thickness isn't that bad. The Xiaomi Mi4 is 8.9mm, and a HTC One M8 is 9.4mm. Sounds like you compare it with a bendable iPhone 6 Plus. THAT phone is uncomfortable in the pocket! And I don't care about a thickness a little over 9mm as long the batterylife is good. Rather that, then a thin 6mm phone that only last half a day and goes dead.

Does it have a led notification light? I cant find that anywhere. With the removable battery, fm radio, nfc and expendable memory finally a phone which has it all.

Ok, youve got some solid points there, but for me the main positive point is that elephone is well known for the constant updates, and not forgetting that there are new versions of Android constantly. At least that is what I have heard and I believe, because most chinese smartphones these days come with impressive hardware specs but forget about software. That is the main pro I see here, forgetting the fact that it is a thick phone, I think it is a good option .

There's a promo video of the p7000 on youtube.

Assuming that the video is accurate, it should have a Sony sensor. Hope this is useful!

The Elephone site under new products it says end of April
(sorry can't link it don't have enough posts)

Where will the back button and recent apps button be? Will it have a dev comunity and support? Other than this, this phone seems perfect
Im concerned that elephone lied about the camera sensor and of course wondering how much they are exaggerating the battery. If its all as it appears in the spec sheet I think this would be great

What about ship to Italy from gizchina.com? How long does it take? Are there custom taxes?

And yes they have a strong Dev community and lots of future updates on all their phones, not just the
newly released !!
I will report back once I receive the phone.

Honor 6, my review

Huawei is chinese brand well known for almost anyone thanks to network components like routers, modems, switches...presents in our homes since the ADSL started to be something common.

However, in the last years they have go into newer markets to avoid stay behind their competitors, and that’s how they went into the mobile market with some smartphones and tablets... Although not attracting too much attention.
In order to change that trend, they have introduced a new business line under the commercial name “Honor” which flagship is the new Honor 6. It has been presented as an independent brand from Huawei, but with the backup of having such a big brand behind, something like what we can see with Toyota and Lexus on the cars world.
The most peculiar of this new brand is that they promise high specifications but at a quite reduced prices, basing their strategy on online sales. Same technique used by low cost Asiatic manufacturers or, even first brands like Google with their Nexus.
Specifications
These are the characteristics showed on their web...
*the internal storage and memory card capacity have been improved in this new version.
There are no doubts we are facing a very powerful terminal, last generation and equipped with octa-core processor and 3GB of RAM!… Now let’s see how it performs
We see each time more and more devices with amazing HW on the paper BUT, with always or almost always the same weak points on the real using experience: screen quality and low camera definition on low light situations, even having a lot of megapixels. So go on with the review step by step.
Design
Frontal and rear part come with the 3rd generation of Gorilla Glass , connected by a plastic surface on the sides... Willing to look like metal (but not giving high quality feeling). Clean and round lines not highlighting for anything in special... Unless we mention the unavoidable similarity with the iPhone 5: same round edges, power adaptor situation or the frontal speaker.
I must say here that the finish is so smooth that I found the same issue the Nokia C7 had... It slides from the hands almost automatically.
On the front, first thing we see is that amazing 5.0” IPS (with 441ppp) with the forementioned speaker on the top together with the 5Mpx secondary camera. The tactile controls are located just below the screen. With this distribution, they have reached a quite impressive 76% ratio of screen within the total surface.
Once turned back, the 13Mpx main camera (with a Sony IMX214 sensor, 1/3.06”, f/2.0, 28mm including Total Focus and software stabilizer, HDR) and dual LED flash. Looking down, only the hands free speaker is visible. Near the center of the cover only the Honor logo to get more value.
Regarding this part of the design, I must pull the engineer’s ears for putting that rear speaker compeltely flat, in a way that when we recline the device, the sound is completely absorbed...losing quality and volume.
Interior
A Kirin 920 octa-core processor with four Cortex A15 cores running at 1,7Ghz and other four cores Cortex A7 at 1,3Ghz is beating inside this Honor 6, accompanied by a Mali T628 MP4 GPU (at 600Mhz) and as mentioned above, 3GB of RAM!
The internal memory brings us the very decent amount of 32GB, and again with the option to expand them with a microSD card, up to 64GB. Bravo for Huawei/Honor guys being able to answer a bigger storage demand.
Running, performance and autonomy
This Honor 6 presents us Android 4.4 Kitkat, customized with Emui 2.3. Sincerely it’s not enough to take advantage of the great hardware on this device, however it is already possible to update to the version 3.0 of Emui bringing interesting things to users, and specially using better the phone capabilities.
We have already seen the Sony IMX214 sensor of the main camera in many different high-end smartphones like OnePlus One, Nexus 6 or Xiaomi Mi4. Nevertheless, using the same components doesn’t mean achieving the same results...
A little subsection here to talk about the number of megapisels and the quality of the pictures taken. We all know that the iPhones (even the latest ones) still mount an 8Mpx camera, while their direct competitors have already jumped to the13Mpx or even 20Mpx. This could be translated into worse pictures or customers complaining, however the company from Cupertino has shown to followers and retractors that the software behind the camera is almost as important as the sensor used, receiving in addition a lot of praises for the quality of night pictures and the incredibly speed they are taken.
That said, it’s obvious I have found some faults to Honor 6’s camera. In the same way other (most of) low-cost smartphones in the market, we can take outstanding pictures in very good light conditions but, when the light is poor (or in the night) and we must use the flash, we find a lot of nois in the pictures due to the increase on the ISO sensibility.
Recording 1080p video at 30fps shows a good quality, and the optic stabilizer helps a lot for that purpose, in exchange to limit the camera capabilities, since we know this sensor is capable of recording at [email protected] Summarizing, the video recording is very good, although we have the impression we have been cut on the hardware benefits :-/
The stock application for the camera offer basic controls, sincerely more than enough for most of users and, if someone needs more control voer some elements...there are lots of third-party applications on Google Play.
It is not a secret that the recent selfie fever makes the secondary camera become a main character. About this one, I can only say that having 5Mps work in a similar way than the rear camera, so great results with good light, and noisy ones with low-light. Remark the included “beauty effect” filter will be quite useful when taking those selfies.
When talking about the performance on this Honor 6, the only I can say is fluid and fast on every task we charge him with: browsing (wifi, 3G or 4G), productivity (email, WPS Office,...), multimedia (HD movies without lags) or games (once more Asphalt 8 comes included and runs perfectly).
About the battery, brings 3100 mAh, more than enough for standing more than one full day with standard/intensive use.
It includes also an energy saving tool, proven quite useful with a lot of tweaks available.
And again I must give a shout to the engineers, premium range and not including the fast charge system? Please! It would be great to charge 90% of this battery in 15 minutes.
I am not following the trend of pasting screen-shots of amazing benchmarks results, like AnTuTu and others, since every smartphone today will bring very high scores and this not always mean a great user experience.
Conclusions
A very balanced terminal on every field, some initial complaints that are solved with Emui update, and surely with Lollipop.
The price of this smartphone with the new configuration (32GB ROM and up to 64GB by adding a microSD) is not even 330€, in online shops like Etotalk, including the VIP shipping via DHL (door to door). What makes of it a very interesting option

[REVIEW] Lenovo K3 Note

Lenovo's K3 Note is one of the newest Lenovo's smartphones. This budget 4G Android Lollipop device has 5.5-inch Full HD screen and octa-core processor. I purchased one for myself to figure out if it is as good as it looks like.
Specs
4G
Android 5.0
MTK6752, 64bit 1.7GHz Cortex A53 octa-core processor
5.5-inch IPS Full HD (1920x1080) Screen
16GB ROM (about 10GB free space)
Micro-SD support up to 32GB
2GB RAM
3000mAh battery
Wifi, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0
Dual SIM
Design
Lenovo K3 Note has simple but elegant design. The phone is available with white and yellow back cover, I have white one. The rest of the phone is shiny black. Silver colored power button and volume buttons are on the right side of the phone. Unlike the most of the phones, K3 Note has its micro USB port on top next to the 3.5mm earphone port. Phone's large 5.5-inch IPS screen is clear and you can watch videos and pictures with good quality because of the 1920x1080 resolution.

Performance
K3 Note's processor is 1.7GHz 64-bit octa-core (MTK MT6752) and the phone has 2GB of RAM. That sounds good considering the price of the device and it really is awesome. I ran Antutu benchmark on the phone and the result was surprising. The score was over 45000. It means that this phone beats for example OnePlus One, Samsung Galaxy S5 and Google Nexus 5 in this test. Only very few phone models has got higher score than this. I was able to notice the excellent performance while using the device: everything works like clockwork, smoothly and steadily. I can play all the newest games on the phone with no lag at all.
Software
Android 5.0 is running very smoothly on this phone. Multitasking works nicely and new cool notification bar and lock screen notifications as well. Google Play and some other Google apps are pre-installed on Lenovo K3 Note, but it also has some other pre-installed apps that someone might dislike. I personally just ignored them. In addition to Android 5.0 K3 Note has Lenovo Vibe 2.5. It brings some new features to the phone as well as takes something away. I want to highlight some awesome features that K3 Note has. First one is gestures: For example the screen can be turned on by double tapping it or you can snap a picture while screen is off by double-pressing the volume up/down buttons. Second one is smart switching. You can make you phone for instance go silent mode or turn the GPS off when your phone connects certain wifi or at the time when you go to sleep.
Cameras
Lenovo K3 Note has two cameras: 13MP back camera and 5MP front camera. Both cameras take very high quality pictures in both low and high light. Front camera records 1080p video with 30 frames per second. I took some sample photos to show you how well the cameras of this phone works. Please notice that pictures may have been damaged in upload process.
Summary
I am absolutely satisfied with my Lenovo K3 Note. I have a phone with a good performance, large and high quality screen, very good cameras, long-lasting battery, newest Android and lot of space for apps and media. I bought my device from Pandawill and I'm satisfied with the service and fast shipping. Pandawill wanted to offer you a coupon for Lenovo K3 Note. You can get 10$ off by using coupon code Lenovok3 (expiration date 23.5.2015).
If you have any questions, just ask it and I will answer as soon as possible. Thanks for reading the review!
Edit:
Pictures are invisible for everyone but me (I guess) for some reason. I had uploaded the pictures on my xda-developers gallery and then linked them here but they aren't shown. You can see them here for now until I get this fixed.
Edit 2: Now everybody should be able to see every single picture.
Does this phone have touch key backlight?

Lenovo's K3 Note is one of the newest Lenovo's smartphones. This budget 4G Android Lollipop device has 5.5-inch Full HD screen and octa-core processor. I purchased one for myself to figure out if it is as good as it looks like.
I have one but have probSpecs
4G

[REVIEW] Xiaomi Redmi Note 2

Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi (one of main players currently) has just presented an update for his Redmi Note model, with a few novelties and the goal of being one of most popular smartphones for the season.
Packaging and design
The box is “iPhone-like” in paperboard color, something I've liked since it looks a little bit more Eco-friendly, and at the same time it's simple and elegant.
In the box we find the terminal properly wrapped, a charger (with US plug, not the European one), a good quality USB cable, the warranty and instructions both in Chinese.
As usual lately, no signs of the earphones, we'll have to get used :-/

The design of this Redmi Note 2 is very simple and clean, on the front we have the secondary camera on the top, then the 5,5” FullHD screen with just the 3 touch buttons typical from Android.
On the right side we have the volume and lock buttons, both seem made in good quality
Looking at the bottom, the micro-USB plug and the microphone. We have the jack 3.5 plug for the (non included) earphones and the secondary microphone for noise cancellation on the top.
So we have a completely free left side, something very common nowadays, due to the big size of the devices, the buttons are grouped in just one of the sides.
Once we flip it, the main 13Mpx camera (we have no information about who is manufacturing it), the LED (not dual) flash and the speaker on the bottom with the XIAOMI logo.
When we remove the back cover, we found the removable battery, the slots for the 2 micro-SIM and another one for the microSD expansion card.
This model is available in 5 colors: white, blue, yellow, pink and mint green.
Hardware
The technical specifications are quite good. Just to start, it's equipped with the new X10 octa core from Mediatek, so 64-bits and 2.0Ghz speed. The 2GB of RAM memory put it on the middle of the table, since most of new phones already come with 3GB or 4GB if we talk about flagship devices.
To complete the game, we find a GPU Power VR G6200 that will put all the sauce for videos and games to play smoothly.

Software and Multimedia
The Redmi Note 2 comes with the almost last version of Android 5.0 (Lollipop), however we won't appreciate it since the customization layer is very “intrusive”. We are talking about the very well known MIUI, which brings a iOS flavor that either you love or you hate normally.
MIUI is probably one of most known Android ROMs and doubtless one of the strengths that helped Xiaomi growth as much and sell their handhelds outside of China.
In this case, the Redmi Note has the v7 of MIUI and as expected it runs very well, fluid and smooth even when playing 2K videos. However, in my opinion is a little bit silly to play 2K videos in a 5,5” screen, even a very good one like this case. It will be very interesting if we are using a remote screen, and we are broadcasting to a big screen, but (and again is just my opinion) with a smartphone, I guess FullHD is already a great resolution.
On the same way, games (like Asphalt 8) run perfectly thanks to both the powerful chip X10 and the GPU Power VR G6200.
Camera
Nowadays it's very common to find 13 Mpx cameras on almost every smartphone. If we compare this one to other Chinese phones, we can say the results are very good.
It's not the main point in this phone, although as said before it achieves quite good results, specially with daylight (very good pictures!). But when the light is reduced, for example taking night pictures there is a lot of noise on the images.
When we move to video recording, FullHD at 30fps offer very good quality.
Battery
The trend is now to go around 3000mAh, and Xiaomi hits that mark in this case.
Of course the duration will depend on how much we use the smartphone and for what. Taking into consideration that on the first days we will be trying everything and the use will be much more exhaustive that the normal one.
However we will reach the end of the day without any difficulty, using data, camera,...
Conclusions
We have on our hands a very good terminal. We can notice it on the finishing and the overall user experience, thanks also to the good integration and performance of MIUI 7.
I don't like to open the box and don't find the earphones, but it becomes the rule now, so I will finally have to get used to that. I know manufacturers try to cut cost wherever they can, and they guess we all have good earphones already... but if you're presenting a device with an impressive screen and powerful enough to play and enjoy the multimedia part, why don't you complete it with a good earphones?
I'm sure this is a problem that we don't have when buying an iPhone or last Galaxy S or LG or any other first brand smartphone, since they have margin enough to pay quality extras.
This model (Redmi Note 2) is on the medium range so we have to consider it like that. If we are looking for a top class (Chinese) device we will have to choose the Xiaomi Mi5 (when available) or Xiaomi Note Pro and there the price will be already above 500€.
Are you looking a good smartphone for less than 200€? don't think more, you have to look and consider this one. It's not only because of the specifications on the paper, it's also (or mainly) because step by step the Chinese manufacturers are differentiating among them.
Xiaomi and Meizu have proved (or are proving yet) to be above the other Chinese companies... so if you have similar prices, ask for quality!

The glass is so called "Dragontail" which is actually very scratch resistance.
My problem so far with RN2 is the network location service, they return simplified chinese text to apps, also the international ROM is very buggy.
I got one question: Is a screenprotector already applied from the manufacture?
Btw I noticed you saying there are the 5 colours you mentioned but actualy there is also the colour gray (dark) (the one picture in your review has also a gray backcover)
Yes, screen protector is already applied but it covers front camera... So you have to change it
My device did not have a screen protector pre-applied.
Very strage

Meizu m2 Note vs Xiaomi Redmi Note 2: a very appetizing comparison

We find each time more models on the market, since the manufacturers have as goal to cover every single segment on the market, no matter what your budget is...there is a smartphone for you.

During these past summer months, two of the big Chinese manufacturers have introduced an update for two of their most popular models. We are talking about the Meizu m2 Note (end of June) and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 (August).
The truth is that the only point they probably share is a FullHD 5,5” screen and low-medium segment they are both addressed.
Lets see the specifications:
Prices: Meizu m2 Note -> From $139 with Flash sales
Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 -> From $169.99 with current promos
As you can see, with this update Xiaomi has make much more emphasis on the “power” than his competitor. In addition, the version I’m trying is the Prime (2,2Ghz and 32GB of RAM) so the difference seems even more evident.
Appearance
Looking at the design, first thing to mention is that m2 Note is made on a single piece, meaning mainly a more “solid” terminal, or at least feels more resistant on the hand. It is slightly shorter and narrower than the Redmi Note 2, although thicker. The Redmi Note 2 on its side, has rear cover and removable battery.
Anyway, both are quite similar on size and weight, but they are figures difficult to notice on a daily basis.
Looking at them from the front, both show at first the imposing 5,5” screen, even though they use different technologies for it (I’ll talk about it later). Above the screen, Meizu’s one shows the speaker and the secondary camera. Xiaomi model adds also a LED for notifications (Meizu model also has a LED but it’s not as useful or evident, and not as customizable as the Xiaomi LED). Both cameras have 5Mpx.
Below the screen, Meizu only has a physical central button, with 3 different functions depending if we touch, press or hold it. The Xiaomi has the 3 typical Android haptic buttons, although they work in a different way because they can be customized (that’s pretty cool) so we can decide what they’ll do when we press or hold each button.
For the rest, on the Meizu we have the buttons for volume and lock on the left side and the slot for SIM and microSD on the right side. The secondary microphone (for noise cancelation) is on the top side, together with the Jack 3.5 plug, so the micro USB plug and the main speaker are on the bottom side.
The Xiaomi is quite similar, but having all the buttons on the right side, not having anything on the left side and adding the infrared port on the top...the rest all the same.
When flipping it, the main camera (13Mpx) and the flash, which is dual LED on the Meizu and single LED on the Xiaomi. The camera is completely flat for the Meizu and protrudes slightly on the Xiaomi. This last also includes the main speaker on this rear side. Both have the logo on the bottom.
The perception of the finishing is high quality for the two models, and with both I had the impression of sliding from my hand at the beginning. However, once you get used to their shape, size and weight... they fit very comfortable on the hand.
Screen
The 5,5” screens on these models deliver FullHD resolution and excel 400ppi of density with a incredibly good quality of image. The only one difference is then, that Meizu chose IZGO technology and Xiaomi opted for the commonly used IPS LCD panel.
After using both daily, my impression is that Meizu screen offers better quality and dims more, which is very nice for reading during the night for example. Said that, both screens have a very good quality and have the option to adjust the color temperature.
There are some complaints about IZGO screens showing yellowish when it should be white, but I haven't noticed that effect at all.
Use and multimedia
Both models come with Android Lollipop 5, nonetheless each one has a very different and complete customization layer.MIUI is much more known than FlymeOS, although the people from Meizu is doing a great job with continuous improvements on the ROM. The goal surely is to make it each time more popular and compatible with more models, something that has worked very well in the favour of MIUI in the past years.
An important part of this customizations is the way we use the buttons and interact by using gestures.
Since I'm now comparing those two smartphones, I'm not going deeper on the ROMs (MIUI and FlymeOS) used, since it would make an endless review.
What I must say is that both will require a (small) adaptation time even for those coming from Android. In my case it was easier and faster with FlymeOS than with MIUI. Maybe also because MIUI has even more personalization options.
Something that I dislike from both is the number of things (apps, screens, messages) in Chinese, it's not excessive, but they simply appear sometimes and you don't have any other option. It's easier to avoid them in Meizu, since in Xiaomi their AppStore cannot be entirely disabled, and will continue suggesting you updates, which in some cases will just change the language of your apps... to Chinese.
Something good from MIUI (Xiaomi) on this point is that the account creation can be made in English (or other languages) and then it's later integrated with many other apps like their cloud app (called MiCloud... does it remember you something?) coming with 5GB for free and working pretty well for pictures, contacts, messages and some more things which look very similar to Apple iCloud.
As an extra in this section, Xiaomi Redmi Note 2, features an infrared port, and Xiaomi's MiHome app detects it automatically and helps quite good to control different devices at home (TVs, air conditioned, satellites,…). It could seem some silly thing, but it works pretty well.
This Redmi Note 2 also includes radio (digital and FM options), which is something I missed a lot on the Meizu, it works well, with good sound quality.
Regarding the proprietary apps, each one has some strengths and weaknesses. FOr example Meixu's weather app doesn't work for cities outside China, while you can select any city with Xiaomi one. The music app for both allow to browse their extensive catalogue ready to download, but for Xiaomi it's quite complicated to find international (non asiatic) artists. On its side, Meizu's app works very well, it's completely translated and have lots of international artists.
We will find a voice assistant in both smartphones, and both very similar to Apple's Siri, but in Chinese, so in any case it's really useful or something to highlight. The day any of them translates it to make it available internationally (English at least) it will be a good point I guess.
Camera
Here the competition becomes even more interesting (if possible). The pictures I've taken with both smartphones show very good quality, they focus very fast and you can do burst shoot, which is something I cannot say about most of smartphones (not talking about first brands).
So this part is surprisingly satisfying for both competitors.
With the Redmi Note 2, I was surprised by the face detection on the selfies, which in addition is capable of identifying sex and age very accurately :-O
With the main camera, the results are very good even with low light where the flash works very precisely.
Talking about the Meizu m2 Note... I sincerely have the impression that it can compete hand to hand with my iPhone 5 and recording video (1080 @ 30fps) can probably beat him.
Some samples taken with each one, always first the Meizu then the Xiaomi (If you want to see real size pics, I could just upload them to my spanish blog -> http://dabarsocialmarketing.blogspot.co.uk/2015/09/meizu-m2-note-vs-xiaomi-redmi-note-2.html):
Some samples of video
Meizu -> https://youtu.be/Epl1fUwMrjQ
Xiaomi -> https://youtu.be/ZePaimXFL3U
Battery
Not much to say in here. The manufacturers have bet for a size that covers perfectly the expectations, meaning around 3000mAh and 1 day of standard use.
We can find tools for managing the energy in both cases allowing us to choose between power, balance or power saving modes. We can even select if the power saving mode should be automatically enabled when reaching a percentage.
We can say that the Meizu m2 Note, having a less powerful processor and managing better the screen bright, wins by little this battle.
Conclusions
If I had to choose which one to keep, it would really be a hard decission.
A priori, the Redmi Note 2 is more powerful comes with some very interesting and useful extras (radio, infrared,…), however the user experience is more satisfying with the m2 Note and I like more the camera.
A table with pros and cons of each one would be like that:
As you can see, I find some more advantages on the Meizu, despite having less power. Specially strong in the camera, which is one of today's main uses for our smartphones.
In the present case, in addition, I'm using the Xiaomi's Prime version meaning an internal storage of 32GB and 2,2Ghz CPU's speed.
Personally, the FM radio is a very strong point, since I missed it a lot on the Meizu and one of the downside of iPhones for example, since you need data to listen to radio.
FlymeOS use is a little bit more agreeable, although you also get used to MIUI in some days.
For the power and the extras, I choose the Xiaomi as winner on today's competition.
Nevetheless, if you're not planning to play a lot of games, and so you don't require as much power, and you count on using one SIM and a microSD card, I recommend you the Meizu.
PS: if you liked the post... please thank it

Xiaomi.eu dev 5.9.24. With brightness set to 25-45%, WiFi on and connected during the day and from 2AM-7AM WiFi off with 2G/3G on.
Great post!
So, the perfect phone would be the combination of these two
Maby I'll wait for a month or two.
I do want to correct the OP. M2 Note does have a LED for notifications. I didn't read the rest, but looking on the table, your pros and cons are somewhat subjective and depend on which version of OS you're running. For example, the Chinese bloat on RN2 can be easily dealt with and as far as I know, when Xiaomi releases RN2 globally, the ROM will be clean.
Other corrections: Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 supports 1080 video recording from front facing camera. It also supports touch-to-focus during video recording (back camera) but you must enable it from settings
So tables are not correct

Yeah, Meizu has the LED, but only in white color. So You cant set different colors for few apps.
And Xiaomi with MIUI has a lot of updates and fixes. Meizu not .. Thats why i will buy Xiaomi.
xiaomi redmi note 2 and meizu m2 note are really the best rivals, but i like xiaomi redmi note 2 more, because it has better performance and price. there is one problem about xiaomi redmi note 2, we really don't know the shipping time. many Chinese sellers just presells it, so can anyone give me the idea about when the international version of Xiaomi redmi note 2 released?

ok, too sad for me!
Meizu has a notification LED, better battery, better design, proper software and camera. Xiaomi has a better chipset but a lame battery life so if you're buying it get yourself a power bank just in case[emoji23]
Redmi Note2 has a notification LED as well, the battery is replaceable and battery times are rather good on 5.9.18 - .24 had some problems with that.
I think I also like Redmi's post processing more than the Meizu, as seen here (look at the clouds for example, they're hideous). Redmi also has the bonus of being able to use dualSIM + µSD, while in Meizu's Note 2 µSD uses SIM2.
Also, I can't seem to find any TWRP/custom ROMs for m2 note, while there are some for Redmi, plus an official dev ROM with root. That's clearly an advantage for me.
Hi all, I've been some weeks out and couldn't check here. Some comments.
1- it's true that Meizu m2 Note had Led for notifications, but it's much less customisable and evident than the one in the Xiaomi. It's more discrete.
2- I was really tired of Chinese intrusion on the Xiaomi (really horrible, it started to install apps without asking me through the Chinese AppStore), so I tried to manually disable that store... Not a good idea, since it went soft bricked :[email protected] some hours later I found a new, European ROM. I lost some of the interesting aspects like the music downloads, but HUGE IMPROVEMENT in terms of battery life, much more hours of use with screen on, watching movies for example. This version is Xiaomi.EU 5.9.24 (still beta) based on Android 5.0.2
100% recommendable. The MiHome app works slightly worse.
3- I've tried but I cannot record 1080p video with the front camera, maybe because of the ROM.
4- I could change the video focus to "Tap" so I guess not I can focus when and where I want.
5- With the video in HD (720p) it's possible to use Slow-Motion and Time-Lapse. However, when selecting FullHD quality, only Time-Lapse is available.
Summary, after changing to this new ROM, this device (Redmi Note 2) has earned a few more points. So very happy and good feelings
Not everything is great, it's still a beta so I guess this is one of the bugs pending: sometimes when I take it and press unlock button... The phone doesn't responds, the screen remains black :-/ only option is to remove the battery and boot it again. This happens randomly.

For use 1080p in front camera you must open camera, select video mode, select front camera, open settings and set 1080p.
The ROM you have choosed has many bugs. Please, download other ROM from xiaomi.eu like 5.10.8 and i suggest to do a wipe data. If you don't want to wipe data try if wipe dalvik and cache may be enough.
Download from here miuif.celogeek.com/5.10.8/

Thanks for the advice, the true is I'm very happy with the general working (specially the battery) although the random blockades and those options you mention... (now I have no way to go to settings when I select the front camera).
I'll try that ROM as soon as I can and share my comments
Have a nice one!
