Hey,i hope anyone can help me out with my problem.
Ive Samsung Galaxy A5FU on Lollipop 5.1.1 Custom Rom and my Camera is not working at all,ive tested several methods on different roms, but the only thing i see is cant
connect to camera, tested with many camera apps,no chance, even after factory reset and new flash.its the first time in my life that i have such issues, many thanx in advance.
currently running AICP 10,tested on latest cm12.1 and 5.0.2 Deodexed Stockrom too,no luck.
ive added logs in post 5,just take a look in it,thanx.
edit: even after "repairflash" with "smartswitch" from Samsung is the camera not working,so im sure its a hardware issue, cry.

Did you try to flash stock touchwiz rom and see if it works there and then flash a custom rom again

good idea,i make a test and send report.thanx

ok,i have flashed a fresh stockrom with odin several times,i flashed deodexed stockrom and two custom roms inclusive and exclusive full format/wipe etc,but camera is still broken, weeeeirrrrdddd, today in the early morning it was working, ive taked some pictures from my birdspiders,no problem, now this.
ANYONE HERE WITH KNOWLEDGE (MAYBE) ABOUT THIS CONFUSING ERROR? THANX!!!!

here are two logs that ive done, the problem is: im absolute no logpro, maybe anyone other have knowledge, thanx.

Hi, I am thinking you have an hardware issue. If even on stock ROM you have this issue it's not normal and you should probably take your phone to Samsung service center to fix that.

i think youre right,today in the morning i directly go to the store,we will see,but i send a report then.thanx anyway.greeeeetz!

now its on the way to repair,we will see when its done,i send report then, greeeeetz!!!!

They said it's an hardware issue? They'll probably not repair it because you flashed CM and that trip your KNOX to 0x1 :/

In german its so, when in guarantytime(6 month) the device have 'errors' like this and you give it back for repair/change and it should costless, then the provider or samsung must show that the error comes from software. But in 99% its a hardwarefail and thats it. Many germans have done it so, all good.

so,ma device is in repair on garanty with knox counter 0-1,so its no problem to have know on 1 when u have some hardware issues,i report next when its there.

my device is coming back,i hope today!!!!
here is repair report and something from the repairfreaks, lol.

getting rssi and Ec/Io values

Hello,
Is there any way to write a program that will get signal strength (rssi) and Ec/Io (Energy per chip over Interference) values ?
any help appreciated,

Does Vodafone D2 (Germany) still provide Cell Broadcast at Channel 833 ?

Until March 31 Vodafone D2 had three Cell Broadcast Channels in service: 50 (BestCitySpecial Area Codes), 100 (Index) and 833 (Network Element Identifier).
Since today Channel 50 and 100 are out of service. But is Channel 833 still active or also inactive now?

[FIXED] - 3g Speeds after network 'crash' this morning

I just did a speed test (about an hour after the network came back on) and I am noticing considerably slower speeds. I'm in the DC area.
Using Speedtest.net application
1/29/2010:
Ping: 147 ms
D/L: 141 kbps
u/l: 171 kbps
three days ago in the same location:
Ping: 132 ms
DL: 797 kbps
UL: 338 kbps
And yes, I did double-check in "Status" that I'm on the HSPDA network.
Anyone else noticing slower speeds after the issues we all had this morning?
EDIT: Thanks for the replies -- I just did the test again and it's back close to normal. Probably a lot of network usage immediately after the recovery.
Now I'm back to 950 down / 380 up, 114 ms ping
My speeds are fine. I am in Laurel, MD.
It did seem to be a bit laggy at first.
I was getting 400/200ish, but now I just did 605/432
They're probably still recovering from the network outage.
What's everyone else getting right now with the Speedtest.net app?
1036 DL
1304 UP
Philly, PA
between 40-356 dl and 12-341 up in VA, experiencing the 3g flip flop issue.

Question for 3G owners, Signal strength display

Can anyone with 3G version of the tab check what is shown under Settings > About tablet > Status > Signal strength?
On my device it seems to show the correct value for dBm but the asu shows always 4 (even when Airplane mode is on).
This problem seems to affect Mobile network signal info on battery history sceen also.
I just want to know if all devices have this problem or is it just me.
I attached two sceenshots to show what i'm talking about.
sorry, this is a bit unrelated to what you asked and possibly idiotic but where in this world did you get a 3g version of the tab?
thanks!
i got my 3g 16g 10.1 in Singapore last week

I ordered it from http://www.cyberport.de/ but it seems they are also out of stock now.
My Tab is showing 4 asu in both 3G mode and flight mode. dB is -55dBm on 3G and -113dBm on flight mode which i think is normal/expected.
not sure about asu though.
hi,
i have the 10.1v (3g model ) and Signal strength shows -83dBm , the asu , fluctuates /moves,between 16,15 14 or 13
point ,as i see it,the asu should fluctuate slightly, from time to time ( as signal strength varies ??)
something for nothing !

ASU or Active Set Update is an integer value proportional to the received signal strength measured by the mobile phone. So the ASU should change when the dBm changes. On my device the dBm seems to show the correct values, but ASU is stuck at 4. It seems that all European GT10.1 have this issue. It's probably a software issue because the dBm seems to be reported correctly and the ASU value should be calculated.

US RF_NV Values?

Hi,
I have Moto G4 Plus (XT1643) (India Version), and It doesn't support USA LTE bands. So I was trying to unlock the LTE bands using this guide
I used the NV Calculator App, which is available on playstore to calculate the values and unlock the bands mentioned in Moto G4 Plus's gsmarena page.
2G bands GSM 850 / 1900 - XT1644 (USA)
3G bands
4G bands LTE band 1(2100), 2(1900), 3(1800), 4(1700/2100), 5(850), 7(2600), 8(900), 12(700), 13(700), 17(700), 25(1900), 26(850), 41(2500) - XT1644 (USA)
Even after setting the NV values to the following, LTE is not working.
NV ID Value
6828 1099562031327
6829 1099562031327
1877 2621440
0441 0
0946 0x0028
2954 0
It would be great if someone could post the above NV ID values of Moto G4 Plus (US Version)
Thanks
For LTE, the 06828 is the only one that's needed, the 06829 reads "inactive".
Orig in XT1644 US is 1099561965791 see the attached (unmodified value, after flashing the N, was identical in MM). That is 1,2,3,4,5,7,8,12,13,25,26,41. Band 17 is not needed, it's just a subset of 12, AT&T was forced by FCC to allow all the band 12 devices "in" their 17. Actually all the new AT&T devices come with 12.
However, the appropriate RF block (amplifier) might not be installed. For example I have changed my numbers to include the LTE band 20 (rural EU), but on my latest trip to EU, in the zone that I knew there is band 20 avail, I still got only H+ (luckily the LTE speed there wasn't that much better than H+). I have checked and the new NV value was still present (on an Asus Laser 2 ZenFone the OS was re-writing the original value at reboot). So for me the modding didn't help.
I think that the other items are different because of CDMA support.
00441 input 0 - 0
0041 input 0x3 - BC0
00946 - 0

001877 -562950069305735

Good luck and... report back.
