Hi guys,
I had flash blisspop 4.0.3 recently. There is option of high frame rate recording upto 240fps in camera. It works fine with 60 fps at 720p resolution, but if i change into higher rate of fps it asks to select lower video size and i tried all video size, it wont work with none of the video size or resolution.. Please help me how to resolve this problem..

Using the video recording in 720p I have found that the fps of these videos is 24 fps.
Anyone else have a higher fps when recording in 720p and if we can record at higher fps in 720p recording mode?

question, why would you want to unless your looking for slow motion video playback?
in answer to your question, no you cant, the camera driver is the limiting factor, same reason we cant take wide screen photos
Anyone knows how I can change the bitrate and frame rate of Samsung s4 video? Its too big.... 100 mb /1 min..... I don't need 12 Mbit at 50 fps
I also have the same concern as you as I think the bitrate is too high though it is at 30fps. I think at 1080p it is 17000kBps.
I hope there's a way to change the bitrate without having to sacrifice the frame size as 240p has a lower bitrate but it is too small.
For example 1080p at 2MBps would be very fine for me.

I was using 720p. It was recording at 60 fps at 17mbit. 400MB for 4 min. ridiculous!! much appreciated if someone can help out with a way to change bitrate and framerate setting.. thnx

Yep, considering the fact that for 400mb you can re-encode a full movie of good quality.
So anyone has any trick or hack they can share to change bitrate and framerate? on my old Touch Pro2 it was just a quick easy change to the registry. I figure it should be that easy on S4? I mean i can't be the only one feeling that the video on S4 is using way too much bitrate and size?
So no one thinks that the filesize is too big or has any interest in reducing the filesize?
I also think the video files are way too big even when set to 1280x720. I use Handbrake on my PC to reduce the size. It would be even better if someone could find a way to reduce the bitrate it records at.

Hello guys, I was experimenting my phone in terms of recording sceneries. I was using snap camera HDR, video bitrate = 30mbps, video size = 3840x2160, the rest was default. I recorded a 10 seconds video, the size was expected, view the details of the video and it shows the video resolution was 3840x2160.
My question,, is it really possible or is it just the application was deceiving me?

it would be interesting to see how fast the S5 can actually record video, especially at lower resolutions
the built in "slow motion" "1/8" mode would suggest its capturing at 240fps at 1280x720? Somehow I doubt that.
But who knows what its capable of at 640x480..might be able to capture insanely fast and we could have a really cool high speed video app.

Set video frame capture rate. This can be used to set a different video frame capture rate than the recorded video's playback rate. This method also sets the recording mode to time lapse. In time lapse video recording, only video is recorded. Audio related parameters are ignored when a time lapse recording session starts, if an application sets them.
Parameters
fps Rate at which frames should be captured in frames per second. The fps can go as low as desired. However the fastest fps will be limited by the hardware. For resolutions that can be captured by the video camera, the fastest fps can be computed using getPreviewFpsRange(int[]). For higher resolutions the fastest fps may be more restrictive. Note that the recorder cannot guarantee that frames will be captured at the given rate due to camera/encoder limitations. However it tries to be as close as possible.
Can this be taken at face value? I.e. can you really see what the phone will max out at fps-wise at a given resolution?
Could someone make an app to do this test and show how fast it can capture at various resolutions?

Has anyone else noticed that slow motion videos, both resolutions 1080p/720p and both framerates 240fps/120fps, are only software-upscaled from lower resolution?
If you don't believe, try to record the same scene once in 1080p/30fps and then in 1080p/240fps and play the videos on the computer.
There are horrible squares (blocks) in 240fps version.
My guess is they are originally recorded in 540p or 480p and upscaled to 1080p.
I'm very disappointed
The device has firepower for everything the year-tops do, but Xiaomi is capping it with its software.

In the videos i've recorded, with little no camera movement and only the subject moving the image quality at 240fps looks exactly the same as 1080p. So i will assume it's exactly this, i havent tested the files, but its probably using the same or only just slightly higher bitrate for the 240fps version.
could be better, maybe with an update, that can be fixed
