Dual Sim Battery Life and Options? - X Play Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
Anyone who has Dual SIM version or has converted from a single SIM version, how is battery life? Especially if you have converted how does it compare?
Also is it possible to disable a SIM card whenever you want to? E.g. could I just turn SIM 2 on when I am at work and leave it off the rest of the time?
Thanks

I converted from galaxy s3 to mxp dual sim.
IMHO Battery life is great. Of course it depends on the installed apps, what they maybe do in the background, and what you are doing with your phone.
I listen to music and audio books, use some Internet, and do messaging (Telegram, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger.)
With the S3 and same usage, I had to recharge the phone after about 10 hours.
Now it's the first time since I switched to smartphones, that I don't need to use a charger whenever one is within reach.
At the moment my phone was last charged about 36 hours ago and still 39 percent remaining. I will give you a screenshot in a few minutes.
I also have both sims activated all the time, but you can turn of one or both, like you prefer. I have not tested how this impacts battery life.

Yep. You've downloaded lots.

I ask because my phone did the same thing. I actually had to then Google services off because it was going to make me go over my data limit. I'm not doing anything crazy...what the hell is using so much data? Is there a way to tell what exactly is using it?
I think there are updates that cause so much traffic
And on the picture you see which app causes the traffic.
Did you load a game or something? If not it should be from an update

Nah...I mean ...I see it's from Google play svcs, but what the hell is that? The fact it's used that much data considering how little it's on wifi is pretty amazing. And my phone...I actually had to disable this all together to keep from going over my (6 gig/mon) data limit. Now I don't get email, YouTube does weird stuff, etc.
Dunno what's going on...

Voice calls uses a lot of battery

My phone is SM-G900H (Exynos Variant)
Today I made a 1hour call over Bluetooth headset and I noticed that this took more battery than the whole things including the screen during the day.
Why is voice call could even possibly eat up battery like that?

3 hour 22 min screen on time at 43% battery - you are getting way better battery life many users. Doesn't seem to be any battery issues with your phone.

The only battery related disadvantage of the G900H, the modem seems to use more power compared to the Qualcomm version.
As the above post mentioned, your battery life is still good, mostly thanks to the A7 cores that use less power in the lighter tasks.

What drains the battery (phone is not in deep sleep)

Something uses the cpu at 400MHz so many hours.
How do I know what exactly.
I noticed that every phone discussion has a topic about battery saving tips.
Is there a thread with Note 4 tips?
Thanks!!!

I've noticed that the 'indexing service' is the culprit for battery drain on my Note 4. Just got it a few days ago. Any advice how to stop this without having to root?

This is always my secret to extra long battery life. Purchase it from the Play Store
Android (5.1.1) doesn't need loads and loads of CPU power to function buttery smooth.
Lower the CPU clock speed, that way you'll be using less CPU power which will in turn save you battery life.

solved
after experimenting im going to answer this topic if someone helps
watch out your sim frequency, after a few experiments, 4G ( LTE ) consumes more even you dont use the phone, so changing to 3G works and solve problem, now i have battery for 3 days or more thx
Im using xt1562 battery is not charging, im using turbo charger comes with the box and i tried with pc also other chargers. Phone is not booting up and always shows a caution with battery. Bootloader is the only thing accessible. When i complained about this issue with MOTO CARE they changed my phone motherboard and after couple of days it started again. And the period of warranty ended. This issue is with many moto x play users still finding a solution.. Any devs and user come across it means then please help me with this..
