Type in your code if you can get it. How did you get it to come up?

This normally comes up when you put in a SIM of a different company than what the phone is locked to. You could get it from the company that locked it, or buy a network unlock code online.

Yes, I realize what the box is but from what I know it isn't supposed to come up on Sprint phones. Speaking of sprint, there are no codes to purchase for Sprint S5 as its unlocked ota. What did I do to get it to pop up: I Flashed MOAR V7 from OG1, then installed GT.APK (idoneapps galaxy tools) and clicked uicc unlock and the network unlock box popped up. The GT.apk is for gaining hotspot and international sim unlock. My phone is already int unlocked but never had box pop up messing with it. I'm curious if I can get a code and fully unlock.
* Also, Im aware that Idoneapps does have a domestic unlock for $35. But wheres the fun in that?

That's strange, cos once unlocked, it remains unlocked even if you changed ROMs. Try checking if that APP is forcing this come up again superficially.

It's remained internationally unlocked with all the poking around and different ROMS. However, my aim is to get a domestic unlock. And the free-er the better
The app probably is forcing it to come up superficially, but is it because of being on MOAR ROM? I've played around with the GT.apk on other ROMS and I personally never seen that box come up. But we all know what that box can (supposed to) do, and that's why I posted it up here on XDA.

So anyway, I decided to put my MSL code in the box and of course it said "unsuccessful". I knew it couldn't be that easy. Also, I was able to bring up the unlock box by using shortcut master as well (it reveals all secret codes on phone) so I guess the network unlock box isn't so elusive after all. I'm still very new to flashing custom roms and especially android and thought I stumbled on to something important but apparently not.

Hello, i have sprint g900 which i got unlock code from sprint, i tried to install different sim card but didnt get unlock screen but i heard u dial unlock code then press send to unlock from what i read, can i ask you how did u getunlock screen? Im very new to android root, any advice will help so i can root S5? Thank you

Can I flash the ROM to unlock the phone?
Well here's what you can do:
1) You can wait, wait, wait, and wait some mroe for someone to even attempt this
2) PAY THE TEN FREAKIN DOLLARS
Do you think that if there was a way to unlock this phone, it would have been in this forum by now? Or are you on to something that nobody else is aware of?
EDIT: this is the wrong forum for this crap anyway

its not an iPhone thats why, you're gonna pay either way just get it over with already.
In an attempt to be less rude than the other poster, here's the deal.
The unlock codes are held in a database on a server run by HTC.
There is no algorithm involved with the IMEI to figure out the code.
So getting it for free with some tool would be quite surprising and highly unlikely.
Flashing the ROM will not unlock the phone.
is there a way to unlock SFR HTC Magic ?
my problem
Hello,
i´m new here and my english not so good, but i hope, anyone can help me here.
I´m from germany and i have a Vodafone branded 32B Magic.
So i had my magic rooted and had a hero rom installed, but for some days i loaded the RUU Rogers on my phone. Now i lost my root, the language is only english and the magic have no drivers installed so i can´t go on market or to the mobile internet.
Many ways to delete the RUU or root this one failed.
When i used the cmd on my PC i make fastboot devices, then comes my serial number and fastboot, but when i will type the words fastboot boot recovery.....img in the next line, it comes : downloading ´boot.img´... FAILED <remote: not allow>
What can i make to become my root rights back so i can load a custom rom back on my phone?
Please can anyone help me?
To OP, can't you even read the thread for the weekly free offer?
I unlocked my Rogers Magic using information on this forum only. Unfortunately I cannot recall what exactly I did - too long ago.
Can anyone sent me the link where can i find the unlocking procedure for my phone

Get a non-Roger/non-fido SIM card. Stick it in the phone and it will ask you for an unlock code.

Unlock phone and how to boot back into MAGLDR

How do I boot back into the MAGLDR menu without it booting into android and how do I unlock the HD2 once I have Android booted from nand?
Hold power button when turning on to get to magldr menu. Unlocking depends on what type of rom/build your using. CM variants, press end call button to wake screen up and then slide lock icon over. I think sense based ones have a slide down to unlock.
you're totally new in this sector, hm? everyone was it some time ago simply read the corresponding threads (magldr, builds, clockworkmod recovery etc) to teach yourself; almost everything is answered in the corresponding thread.
good luck and have fun @ flashing

I don't mean how to unlock the screen, lol, if I didn't know how to do that I don't deserve to have Android on my phone lmao. I meant unlock as in use on ATTs network.
Thanks
almost all of the builds are unlocked and have root rights, if you mean that sry

You either have to buy an unlock code offline somewhere or maybe have a friend with a good standing TMO account and give your phone's IMEI number and ask for an unlock code. Buying it is easier and faster.
hoy... so this isn't related to the rom you are running...?
if winmo is completely erased off the NAND memory of the phone and an android build is flashed, this don't mean automatically that the phone is unlocked...? i thought this is the case, if hspl3, magldr and any android rom is installed

I don't think so. At least not with my brother. He bought an HD2 but has AT&T and I flashed custom roms on his phone and it didn't unlock it. I think because even flashing over the operating system, the phone is still somehow SIM locked? I ended up getting an unlock code from a website and had it unlocked within the hour.
yeah, thx, again, learned sth
No problem

My T-Mobile Tab is unlocked?

This is very strange, i was reading the following thread on how to Network Unlock the tab, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=838424, and i decided to enter *#7465625# as stated on the thread to to see what would come up and to amazement it says that my tab is network unlocked. Now how could that be, i have not gotten an unlock code from T-Mobile and i tried to use the guide posted by Rotohammer, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=843323, using Terminal Emulator, since i don't have ADB, but then i ended up with an error message halfway through entering the code so i didn't bother to retry and just decided to wait the 90 days to get the code from T-Mobile. I would need to get my hands on a non-t-mobile sim to see if it actually works.
Please see the pic bellow that shows my tab as Network Unlocked after entering *#7465625#. Again, i did not do any of steps listed on the thread i just wanted to see what i would get by entering the set of numbers.

I would recommend to check your IMEI either way.
Hope it is not corrupted.
Your phone isn't unlocked because a screen says so. It's unlocked when you can put in another carriers sim and connect to their network.

Don't really have access to another sim (ex. AT&T ) to try it. Might have to wait untill i get my unlock code from t-mobile.

Try to restore original imei and check network lock once more. You would see it locked.
The safest way to unlock posted by Roto in details. I do not recommend corrupting imei like some other methods do in the end.

[Q] Regional SIM Lock

I am seeing posts talking about a regional SIM lock where if you enter a unlock code with a non-carrier SIM prior to booting the device with the original carriers SIM, you can lock device through what's called a regional SIM lock. If so, the device cannot be used until unlocked by the manufacturer. Reading, it looks like this is for a device which you plan on using a forum SIM. As an example, if I have a Canadian device and wish to unlock to work in a European region, I may have problems.
Question is... I now have a brand new WIND (Canadian) Note 3 which is sealed in box and not yet activated. If I put my Telus (Canadian) SIM in the device and unlock, will it regionally lock the device? I assume not as both providers are Canadian but I'm hoping to confirm this. Thank you!

Thanks! I previously read this post and had to read it a bit closer. Since I purchased an unlock code, I should be good with inputting my Telus SIM and unlocking the device. Once unlocked, since I'm using an original unlock code, this should allow me to use it in other countries if I decide to do so.

Quick Question After Working Domestic SIM Unlock

Hi all,
I was able to successfully domestic unlock my S4 thanks to this wonderful forum. Only one quick question remains. So on the status section on the "about phone" menu, the "My Phone Number" section still shows my old Sprint Phone number, even with a ATT or TMobile SIM inserted. Is there a way to change or remove that number? Thanks!

So everything works? Just don't go in the menu and you won't see it, I think that is something so minor I wouldn't even worry about it for fear of screwing up the Domestic Unlock. I'm sure there's a way to do it, just seems like a silly thing to be worried about to me.

Lol, that's true. I know it is very minor. Just figured if it was something easy, I would change it. Thanks!

So I just wanted to reply to my own question with what worked for me in case someone else in the future needs to do it.
As I mentioned, even after successfully doing the domestic unlock the phone still had my "old" Sprint number listed regardless of what SIM is inserted. Now this may not sound like a big deal, but keep in mind the phone rely's on that information when you click the voicemail icon or more importantly for group texting to identify your number in the messages.
The fix was simple. All you need is your MSL code. Please do a search if you need to know how to obtain that code specific for your phone. Once you have it, put ##MSL CODE# and the service menu will come up. Click edit and change both entries from your "old" Sprint number to whatever number is associated with the SIM card you will be using. Hit back and done. The phone will automatically reboot, and you should be all set. Check the status again after it boots back up and it should show the new number you entered. I can confirm that doing this did NOT impact the domestic unlock at all. Hope this helps someone else out there.

You can flash stock at&t or CM variant on the sprint variants? Have you done this? @Black6spdZ
