yes,,,, wait

did and successfully running...... it was 1.02GB not 136 MB. with mod permits, can share the torrent file.

Is it so..? But look at the screenshot I've attached.. It's 136 MB for me..!! I've downloaded it but during the installation it shows error and ends...
Any way could you please share the torrent file..?
Also tell me where is the location of this downloaded OTA UPDATE file..?

Yeah, refer to the attachment, copied to external storage as it was giving me an error for space. Ota can be found @ \lenovoota folder. Shall send you the link once I reach home.

I've downloaded this update but hasn't installed. For me it's showing lenovoota as empty folder...!!

rebooted right? if so, you need to re-download the update. after downloading, do not click on install, explore thru file manager and it will be under lenovoota (phone storage). copy to external sd, apply thru recovery. i think it is a patch only, hence do not wipe data/factory reset in recovery

I haven't rebooted yet.. It's still showing as same as in screenshot... I've tried installing it once and it ended up in error.. I used ES Explorer..yet it's showing empty folder...

what is showing in system update status, if it is showing update now, means your ota update still available and if it is showing download now, means you need to re-download.

I tried installing again and ended up with this error...

as suspected cause i have been reading about this. lucky me that i never had this issue. seems it is better to download complete S056_150924 and install as fresh update. you may visit to this page, size is matching with mine one however this may be world edition [ global version line sony] as ended with WC1
what i did:
1. copied the zip into external sd
2. booted into recovery
3. wipe data/factory reset
4. wipe cache data
5. update from external storage
it took near about 30 minutes to appear language selection menu. let me know

OK..thanks a lot for your effort..

hope it has been done successfully ....

Nope. Still getting the error..

Its a stock OTA, you have to flash it using stock recovery not TWRP.

I extracted the main zip in SD card
Wiped data etc
Flashed system.zip
Rebooted twice *my first bootup was a blank screen for around 20m so I got fed up and rebooted*
Then flahed India.ota.zip
Reboot and done
Worked for me guys.
Hope it works for y'all. Gl.
I used pac man rom previously.

If you are rooted, the update will fail to install.
You can go through the process, get the triangle with the ! on it... hold power and hit Vol + to reboot... then copy the update's ZIP file from /cache to your SD card, reboot into clockwork, select "install zip from SD" to install it and reboot..
You'll loose root, so reboot back into clock work and install the exploit.zip from the universal root thread
I got the update this morning. Installed in about 3 minutes. Location is South West Michigan.
Followed KidJoe's directions, but I found nothing in the cache folder /cache. Is the update located somewhere else?

You have to have superuser permission to see the file. I do the copy operation from terminal. Just got done doing this, worked like a charm and I rerooted and reinstalled the Rogue Rana kernel at the same time.
Just got my update as well.

I tried this but it didn't work.
The file that was in the cache folder was named "28dbe910f0b5.signed-trygon-HLK75F-from-HLK75D.28dbe910.zip". I copied it to my external sdcard and tried to flash it and it got an error and aborted.

With mine, I needed to reflash my kernel after flashing the update as well as the root package. Without reflashing the kernel, I was soft-bricked at the red "M" logo.
Me too.. You need your system partition to have the stock apks for this to work. I had to replace my custom framework with the stock framework as well. It patches a boatload of files. It will leave SU alone. But you *will* lose root and CWM recovery - so be prepared to fastboot your recovery back. Then reapply Universal Root.
I had Rogue 143 kernel installed. On reboot - WiFi didn't work (not surprising - as Rogue probably had its own drivers left behind). I reapplied Rogue - and all better again.
Best I can tell - Settings > Wireless/Networks > Mobile Networks > "Verizon Data Service"... If pressed, brings a web page for service setup. This may be new - I don't recall checking it under HLK75D.
Other than that - the update appears benign. There was one curious update file - lte_bp_gota.img @ 24MB. This kinda looks like ROM for the radio card and maybe kernel - but what do I know? It does not appear to be a new bootloader - but @ 24MB - could be all those things.
Is there any way to not run the update and stop the notification from popping up?
To prevent the OTA, put FOTAKill.apk in your system apps.

Ok - so its not just me. I updated to 4.4 yesterday and this morning noticed I was missing a lot of space.
I did a manual update then installed Team Win recovery - now only have 5.67 out of 16 gigs space.
No idea what the issue is but if anyone can help......
backups are on /data/media/clockworkmod
for twrp is the space avalaible only 6gigs or u have 6gigs left of 13 gigs?

I'm not sure where in TWRP to see the amount of space - best I can find is under backups it tells me I have 2001 mb free, same as in the phone settings.
Under the mount menu I do see that only unmount data and unmount cache are x'd. Mount system and Mount SD card are unchecked. And it's set to use internal storage.
And just in case it helps:

My friend you are right you are not the only one and I assume you updated using the images right? Ok well if you look on every page of this section of our lovely forum you will see multiple threads with the same issue. Simple man you need stock recovery and you would have to do a factory reset to get your storage back but from stock and not custom recovery... For more info simply scroll through these pages or use Google
Edit: My bad by manual update did you mean images? Or did you use which I think all should use the numerous zip files out there

I used the images downloaded from here -
https://dl.google.com/dl/android/aosp/occam-krt16o-factory-75ccae7a.tgz
Installed using fastboot - went back to a completely blank, stock phone.
So if I redo it with stick recovery - am I going to lose it again if I install twrp again? All past post I find are a little vague as to the cause and effect.

my friend have you searched for your issue after I mentioned it. There are tutorials on what to do. You have to go back to stock recovery and then do a data/factory wipe... Sorry no you will not lose anything after reinstalling TWRP, its not TWRP that caused your issue

I searched and found the fix - but couldn't find a specific answer as to whether TWRP was causing the issue or not.
The space is back now though - thanks - about to add twrp again and root it once more.

[Q] SD Card Issue

hey guys.. I rooted my GT-I9500 and am running on wanamlite ROM 4.0.. and the stock kernel.. recently I started getting crash reports every minute saying "unfortunately youube has closed". I tried finding a solution online, but nothing really helped.. in the end I wiped cache and tried doing a factory reset from recovery (philz recovery). suddenly I realized that it was erasing data on my memory card too, and in panic, I pulled it out manually.. after this when I switched the phone back on, the memory card seemed fine, but the crash message issue hadn't gone away.. so I flashed the official ROM via ODIN and re rooted my phone and flashed wanamlite 4.0 using CWM recovery.. now the SD card refuses to show up.. after hours of trial and error one method I found was going into recovery and mounting the SD card from the option "mounts and storage". but this works only for sometime and soon its back to the SD card not responding.. once it stops responding, gallery and camera doesn't open up (freezes) and the music player has no songs in it.. so I've to go into recovery every time this happens and mount via recovery.. can anyone please help?

There's no reason you shouldn't be able to restore if you can get into Download mode, unless either your USB port is messed up or the restore image is corrupted. Check the md5 of the stock restore image you're trying to use, and try a different cord and/or a different USB port on your computer.
Also make sure you're not trying to downgrade to BOD5 or earlier if your bootloader is BOE1 or above, because you can't downgrade.
I can get into download mode, if I flash something else via odin works also it flash the .img it's the bok3 I've done it before, but now nothing work and it's hellllll! I also flashed PB1 that is post on the tread.

What exactly happens after you click the button to flash the stock image file in Odin? Odin should say OK and the phone should reboot. What happens after that?

Make sure you got installed buisy box and safe strap . Install recovery from ss , go to super su and update and make sure is granting the app . Now install NI2 SS flasher for lollipop and make sure super su grant access . Run NI2 and go in the ss. Full wipe then install whatever rom and whatever match firmware with no bootloader then reboot.

Try booting into stock recovery mode (hold home + vol UP + power), and clear cache from there and then reboot.
If that doesn't work, do the same thing but do "factory reset" from stock recovery.

In the safestrap , wipe and just flash the rom then the bok3 firmware ( your choice for rom and firmware , bok3 or pb1 ) . When is done and you see the SS home splash just reboot to download mode ( if not working do it manual ) and odin the og5 bootloader just in case https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347768483. Done , wait 5 minute , if not working reboot recovery manual and wipe data , factory reset and cache. Is this clear enough ?

A reset will resolve just about any issue caused by software. You might be looking at a hardware issue.
Install a system monitor app of some kind to see if any processes are really busy.
It's a long shot, but the only thing that comes to my mind is to remove the microSD card: if that resolves the issue, it means your processor is busy chewing on indexing all the media files on your microSD card and may be getting hung up on a corrupted file. If that does nothing, you might have bad RAM or something.

Yes, for being slow I'm pretty sure was the SD car as I removed it and it feels more smooth, do you know if there is a way to keep the SD in the phone?

First, try opening the SD card on your computer and searching for files of size "0 kb", (that's zero). If you see any media files that are zero kb, delete them. They are corrupted and are causing your phone's media indexing to get stuck in a loop. Symptoms of this issue are slow performance and the phone running hot from trying to process the file continuously. A battery-use examination or performance monitoring app will reveal "android media process" as the offender.
If this does not resolve the issue, you need to take more extensive action. First, copy everything on the SD card to your computer, then format the SD card using the phone, and then copy the data back to the freshly-formatted SD card. Then double-check it for files with a "0 kb" size.
If the problem persists, a last resort would be getting a new microSD card.

The instructions don't appear to be correct. I ended up in a boot loop as well and I followed the instructions to the letter. I had to boot into TWRP (the Chinese version from the thread) and go into wipe and select the format data button. This will wipe everything on your phone but TWRP. If you then hook up your phone to a computer you can access the phone memory like an external hard drive and copy/paste the ROM zip and Magisk Beta onto your phone. Then you just flash them in TWRP and you should be good.

Similar issue, I've faced while upgrading to Oreo, and the only way to make your device to work is to wipe entire data from your device, you'll loose all your data stored in memory, wipe system data, cache data and internal storage has fixed the issue, this error was happening due to the storage file system.
My phone has booted with this, just try it once.
