RIL is not working

I know you just sharing for the hype, but, at least on XT1078 (dual sim) RIL is not working, the system did not recognize a SIM card in any slot, don't know if it's because the dual sim stuff... The rest seems to behave just like you mentioned, so thanks for sharing anyway!!
Edit: By the way, I managed to install without Titan's Recovery... To be honest, when I tried to boot in titan's recovery my phone kind of bootlooped... So I decided to modify updater-script and change the match names to thea (XT1078), it installed flawless and booted just fine.

Okay that's sad to hear but I can't do much at the moment. But thank you for trying.
EDIT: Multi sim fixed in 07.11 build.

Where is the original thread ? I can't find it. You should give a link in the first post as it is not your ROM but thanks for sharing !

That's the problem. I can't find it too. I got the download link from the Moto WhatsApp Group.
EDIT: I found it. I will update the post.

I saw cyanogenmod so my post does relate to this thread...
so basically i unlocked my bootloader on my Moto G 2014 LTE, I rooted my phone and then installed and flashed using TWRP:
tk_gapps-stock-5.1.1-20151004-signed.zip
Full-CM-12-21-03-15-Bacon-modem-flashable.zip
Both successfully installed and flashed and then I rebooted the system as per the instructions and then my phone screen, instead of rebooting with cyanogen, it went black and wont turn on.
Please could someone tell me what I need to do to get it up an running, I have tried the following:
- holding down power and volume down button for two minutes whilst on charge
- leaving it on charge for 15 minutes and then repeating the above step
- I have plugged it into my computer and it has picked up that there is something plugged in, but my phone drive never shows up.
Thank you

why new thread if it is work of luk and luca?

Because I found it in the comments from the CM12.1 Builds for our devices and I thought I could share their great work and show the other people what they already did because there is no official thread at the moment. And I wrote in my first post that it's their work.

Anyone tested this on XT1069 Titan?

For titan it would be this file : https://s.basketbuild.com/filedl/de...M13/titan/cm-13-20151021-UNOFFICIAL-titan.zip
But because XT1069 is a dual sim phone RIL (Calls, SMS, Data) will not work. So I wouldn't recommend you to install it. I'm sure it will be fixed soon.

I use it as a tablet, so I don't mind lack of dual Sim support

Everything works except the things in What's not working in Post 1. The biggest bugs at the moment are that you can't select an other language than english and that Screenrotation is sometimes buggy and you have to restart the phone to get it working again.

I only use English so that's not an issue. I had the screen rotate bug in "stable" roms on two phones. Does it affect games and movies (auto rotated apps) or only switching rotation on and off?

No it doesn't affect games and apps with only one orientation available. But I had to download an app called "rotation control" to rotate my screen when I'm in apps for example browser or apps.

How is this CyanogenMod? This is AOSP with the CM launcher and wallpaper, that's it. And what are these weird search and browser apps?
This isn't CyanogenMod. There is not even advanced reboot menu. This is 100% stock. And no xposed of course. I'm going back to RR.

It is cyanogenmod, early version of it to be exact. They just didn't merge their things yet.

This is only for testing and development purposes my friend, it is not even a nightly!
It is just an early build and a really good one!

My bad. It is a great build. The only issue is gapps. All the ones I found for 6.0 keep FCing randomly and having permissions issues, even when all permissions are allowed

I had the same problem Ace2213, so I've reverted back to 12.1 for now and wait for a proper Nightly of 13.

[ROM] Unofficial CyanogenMod 9 [BLECM9 0.02]

Current status: CM10.1 in the works and this version will not be updated.
Got started with the project in January, I'm now ready to present you my first custom ROM (and kernel) - BLECM9!
First of all - BACKUP! This is not stable for everyday use just yet.
It also includes my own kernel, based on the latest CAF source code (ics_chocolate). The kernel gets frequent updates from CAF and me. Kernel version is 3.0.8. It's not as stable in the beginning but a better choice in the long term.
It won't include Google Apps, you need to manually install gapps package, as any other CM rom is by default.
Prequisites
U8800 upgraded to 2.3
ClockworkMod Recovery v5.5.0.4, not tested in v5.0.2.7
Instructions for Installing
Download the latest version of BLECM9 (Downloads below).
Copy the package to your internal/external SD card.
Reboot to recovery.
Flash the update package.
Optional: Install Gapps package (Downloads below).
Reboot and wait. The first boot takes around 2 minutes.
Downloads
My Google Code Page
Google Apps @ goo.im
Additional Notes
Report issues.
Changelog.
No, this won't work on U8800-51 or U8800Pro.
Atmel TS users, 0.02 will not work for you. I am establishing a new driver, to make the driver standard. Please standby as this is my top priority.
Everybody, send me logs if something does not work. This kernel is under heavy development. On computer with ADB set up: "adb shell dmesg > dmesg.log" and send the dmesg.log
Major Bugs
No Atmel TS support.
RIL issues (does not detect all SIMs)
NT35510 seems to have issues when turning on the screen (confirm?)
Unstable backlight on low values.
Wifi MAC address is 00:11:22:33:44:55
No Camera.
No Bluetooth.
No FM radio.
No audio (except ringtone/alarm)
Sometimes glitchy hardware acceleration.
No sensors.

Great! Been waiting for CM9 a long time ago too... Blefish, you should post some rules as to what we should and how to post in this thread, maybe instructions on how to post specific logs and what kind of info you need. The rest of the discussion should be posted in the general section. I would really hate for this thread to become a mess like Aurora's...

Sorry for the late reply, but I live in Italy.
I reinstalled everything from zero with a full wipe and this is my update about the rom:
1. Very stable ( no more fc's nor strange error messages like i had in 5.1)
2. WiFI hotspot working flawlessly
3. Watchon is working but only if you don't update it ( play store does it automatically and then it stops). In case it happens, you need to uninstall the update and bring it back to the original app.
Thanks a lot, i really like this Rom and your'e a very nice guy!
PS. the only issue I still have at times, when i try to exit some app by using the physical "back " button, i get System UID asking for superSU permission, but it's stuck and i can't ever give it the permission. Anyway, nothing happens and everything keeps working

Thank bro. This rom is nice. i will test it on my device very soon.
Hi Eudemony,
Registered to say GREAT work, thanks.
I've tried a few roms, but so far I like your's the most.
A few questions though:
1. I'm not able to set Data Usage limit( as I have only 750 MB/month), I would like to have my data off when it reaches set limit. Is this a bug?
2. When i go to setup lock screen widgets (like weather), my "Favorite apps or Camera" is frayed out. IS this something that i had to chose when i flashed?
3. If i need to add a future, can i just reflash and chose "no data wipe" (not sure if this called dirt flash?) - I'm new to all this root/flash so be patient with me please .
4. Why am i not able to move (almost) all apps to SD card (I thought this was enabled)? or do i need to install third party app for this?
I'm sure I'll have more questions later
Thanks in advance for your help.
Camera problem!
sorry i have a problem, the app camera not working! help me please!
Thanks a lot for making this ROM, even though I only started using this from version 5, I am fully convinced that this is indeed the best ROM ever for i9505.
Just recently I flashed v6.1 to test out but I am forced to revert back to 5.1 because after flashing , the ExtSD car write was disabled, using the default AEL kernel.
In addition, the 4G/LTE stop working after a few minutes or after receiving a call, using TMO CSC. But when I reflash it and use MM1 CSC, the 4g issue was fixed but the extSD card problem still disable.
Anything possible fix for this? or am I the only one facing this issue.
Thanks for the usual support.

Watch on
Hello everybody, I'm using it with great satisfaction this rom but I can not in lcun way to run watch on ..... is there some setting I forgot?
Thanks !!!!
Can you add the S5 UPSM with your ROM?
I really like the Alpha look and mods in this ROM. However, I think there should be UPSM, which on my opinion will make it much better. I wouldn't have asked you because i would have just flashed an S5 ROM. But all of these ROM feel very slow and glitchy and full of unwanted apps.
Can i install googy max kernel v1.1.7 with this ROM? Thanks

Try this first for lock screen shortcuts
1. go to settings > my device > lock screen
2. select shortcuts (4th menu item down)
3. select custom
4. now go to edit shortcuts (directly below)
5. add/edit your wanted shortcuts
now lock your screen with the power button
lockscreen shortcuts should be displayed

Slimming ROM
Hi,
I have an S4 which I am happily running Eudemony ROM on - great work. I have got used to Rooting and changing ROM's over the last 4 years or so and now, I want to try to do something myself. I was hoping for some pointers as to where to start, as my new tablet, SM-P905, does not seem to have anyone working on it (
Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers, Panrix

[MM][DL] Working CM13 ROM for T-Mobile's Note 4

Hello everyone! I do not own this ROM or did I make it, I'm merely spreading the word about it and yes I am currently using it and will be happy to provide screenshots if requested. @BotsOne had made a post on the International Note 4's thread regarding a working CM13 Rom for Trltetmo. Since the post was made public I assume this post I am making is okay, I understand it was originally closed for testing purposes. This is a direct quote from the post where I had downloaded the ROM for myself, if the owner decides to take the download down I will not be uploading the ROM to share.
Simply flash the ROM.zip then flash your choice of Gapps along with anything else you so desire. I booted up perfectly, gave it a moment to settle and I soon got 4G LTE within minutes. Tested calling, texting, and data all work as usual. I have not tested MMS messaging though as I do not use it often. You may modify the T-Mobile APN to your liking. (All I did was change the protocol) I also did not test whether NFC works or not. However, the camera is working perfectly and so is Now on tap with the Nav Bar. Xposed is also working on the ROM. I also have had no force closes.
Special thanks to @BotsOne for sharing the download link and to the creator of the ROM @micky387, I appreciate your effort to bring us Note 4 users at T-Mobile a working CM13 ROM.
Feel free to share your experiences below!
Will take down at the request of @micky387 since I believe they are the owner.
Please be advised that even though it is built for Verizon, it will also work on T-Mobile.
Hey everyone, so @hsbadr built a working Trltetmo CM13 ROM which is receiving nightlies (as far as I can tell) that also has Calling, texting, camera, and LTE fully functioning.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4-verizon/development/cyanogenmod-t3253973
If you are interested, just download the latest version and you're all good to go! Setup is usual.
Flash ROM.zip, then flash Gapps.zip (Marshmallow Gapps!) and anything else you desire after that.
If you can't seem to find it, just go here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/?id=12650#downloads
Special thanks to @hsbadr for providing this ROM for most variants (T-Mobile, Verizon, possibly Sprint)

I will give this a shot when I get home today to see how it runs. I love Samsung's apps but man AOSP just runs and looks better.
EDIT: After thinking for a minute, I don't have the time to mess around with switching to AOSP so I'll flash this at a later date and see. But thanks for posting anyways!
I'm going to assume no B12/VoLTE or WiFi Calling because of the DOK2 modem/baseband? The second WiFi calling can be confirmed, I will go to AOSP from TouchWhz.
Tried it going from 4.4.4 direct to it. Booted fine, no cell service at all however.

Make sure you're on a lollipop baseband / modem in order for this to work correctly!

@MisterCoolBeans is right. AOSP ROM's won't offer those features. It's not a modem thing, it's TW only.

I am currently running the build and it works perfectly fine on my N910T (Trltetmo)
Thank you so much for providing this..
I am using a SM-N910T3 (T-Mobile)
I finished Titanium Backup and also a full system back up using TWRP recovery.
So, I download the full image and flash, then use the Google App zip all in TWRP recovery.. (I usually use a fresh SD to avoid losing original data on SD)
Correct?
in TWRP trying to flash and it verified and says Flashing 1 of 1 , it's been on that screen for 15min now.
UPDATE: I did a factory wipe in TWRP and after that was able to install firmware and gapps
Ok, everything so far is working beautiful... Phone works, sms,
SM-N910T3 using TWRP
cm-13.0-20151217-UNOFFICIAL-trltevzw.zip
What I have noticed so far,
1.)Notification icons are solid white.
2.)After installing SuperSu, it says there is a binary update, when trying to update it fails. It says do it through TWRP,. (Side load it.. done)
3.) SD card is write protected or not accessible in titianium backup (Update: fixed with this-
"Originally Posted by sjancura
I searched and found you need to change a setting in Preferences - Backup folder location. Near the top is Storage Provider. Click and change to Directory provider. Fixed it for me. Never knew that was a setting before!"
4.)When connecting usb to computer, shows device in my computer but its empty and doesn't show external card and internal location. UPDATE: SOLVED: (while restoring from TitaniumB/turned off debugging in dev. section , I noticed a option was in the pull down menu, "Use USB for" - [Charging] , [File Transfers] or [Photo Transfer] . I selected File transfers -MTP and it works now. (Maybe this is a Android 6 "feature")
5.) Under [About Phone], Model name shows [SM-N910V] will try and change this to my actual model - SM-N910T3
Looking for a simple app to do this instead of the long way of editing the build.prop
6.) Google Camera, Camera error - "Can't connect to the camera" - Is there a way to install the native Samsung camera app (Researching now) - I installed Camera 360 and that works fast
7.) Fast Charging doesn't seem to be working

Working ROM List for Xperia Z5 Dual (E6633/E6683) and Bugs report

Hi everyone,
Since there's only a few full support ROMs for the dual models,
I would like to list out some ROMs in this forum state as "e6653" but still works with e6633/83.
WORKING:
1. Omini SaberMod by infected_(NOT SURE)
2. RomAur
3. SlimX Extreme by _LLJY
4 AOSP FOR Dual (Self-built)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z5/development/aosp-n-7-0-z5-duale6683-t3486729
5, AOSP Sabermod
6, ANY ROM BASED ON THE STOCK FIRMWARE, flash this to make them work on dual:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z5/development/dual-variant-enabler-t3411965
Those are the ROMs tested my me, and proved they are able to boot up.
Procedure to get CM and Omini working:
1. Download the zips.
2. Download this recovery: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z5/development/twrp-3-0-2-cm-aosp-roms-t3373008
3. Extract the zip.
4. Flash the boot.img through fastboot
5. Flash recovery through fast boot as well.
6. Boot into recovery (When the Pink or Purple LED lights up press VOL UP)
7. Wipe Data+Cache+System
8. Install the Rom alongside with Gapps. Capps can be found everywhere in the forum.
9.
This is the method I got those ROM to work.
If there's any other ROM you've tested which works on e6683/33 please list them here!
As I said, I've retried to flash CM on my E6633.
Following your steps, after the ROM + GAPPS flashed, my device shows me briefly the Sony logo during the booting, and my device power off. Same than my first try in May :/
So I reflashed the boot.img through fastboot, and CM is booting correctly. But always no SIM detection and no SD card detected (but this is normal for the SD card) !
I checked, and my SIM card is on the SIM slot 1. I tried the SIM slot 2, without success.
What am I doing wrong ? This will make me crazy...

If you flash CM, better try zacharias.maladroit's kernel.
He've posted it in the op.
I boot up my phone successfully.
Flash the kernel first, then recovery.

Hello, im having the same simcard undetected issue the first guy in this thread had. i can get it to work if i restore my backup "stock" rom, but not with cyanogen13. ive tried multiple kernels and they all boot up (if they boot up and dont hang) with a non working simcard. can anyone point me to a working kernel/cm13 combo for my e6633? thanks so much, this has been driving me nuts
can anyone provide me a link to download the CM 13 for Z5 dual (e6683)? i cant seem to find it

Well it's sad that the latest cm seems not to work anymore, even with the recommended kernel.(Just manage to give it a try).
I will try AOSP, PA, Omini and SlimRom in the following days.
PS: in the PA and Omini it seems that the camera had been fixed..
RESULTS
AOSPA: only single sim working(BUILD 20160823)
Omini : no sim detected but can boot up.(BUILD 20160823)
AOSP: not working at all

Jerry

I was successful in getting both AOSP 6.0.1 and 7.0 to boot on my e6683. I followed the instructions provided on Sony's developer site but there were tons of steps that either were missing information or I ran into issues so I documented all the small changes I had to make to get it to build properly.
I have been on 6.0.1 for 3 days now, seems pretty decent so far in terms of battery life (comparable to what I was getting on rooted .253).
Things I can confirm are working: phone, SMS/MMS, fingerprint reader, SIM slot 1, camera, WiFi, GPS.
Things I can confirm are NOT working: 2nd SIM slot, SD Card not detected, screen gets "static" and flickers 2-3 times a day (fixed by shutting off screen and then waking up again).
Things I have not tested so cannot comment on: bluetooth, NFC, cellular signal strength vs stock, ability to properly root.

Thanks!

Nemesis Rom patch for GSM N910P

This thread is dead! Please delete!
aaron74 said:
I tried posting this other night but xda started maintenance that night. And I just started new job and van broke down tonight. So I'm late. But anyhow this is what I wrote that night.
After seeing last few post(pg 85) of Nemesis Rom. I decided to put a patch together for you guys installing on GSM 910P (should also work for N910T also). This is how i installed this on my device and works.
Because this is aroma Rom I didn't want to flash fixes after Rom.(I wasn't sure if it'd cause a problem). So this will help you integrate. This patch already has T Mobile data patch inside and also works for Sprint gsm users like me.(personally cause I use gsm, I prefer it This way). Sorry Sprint users i can't help.
This patch also includes RamV2 kernel for Sprint. But there's also 2 empty folders one for N910T and one that's called Custom. That's where you put your boot.img.
If you need to edit build.prop further for your data it's in there but works for me as is.
Also note I left the 2csc files (features.xml & others.xml) untouched.
Pretty much all I did was add the aurora data fix minus csc edits. Plus options for kernel. I also added Flipboard cause i like it over upday.
How to use.
1. Unpack Rom.
2. Unzip my patch twice (I double zipped it so noobs can't try installing in twrp)
3. Put your boot.img in folder you want.( In /nemesis/kernel/your device)(already has Ram V2 in N910P)
4. Copy all files over to root of Rom zip.
5. Repack Rom and flash.
Choices will be in aroma for your kernel.
Enjoy!

Unfortunately I couldn't get it to work on my N910P
Aroma ROM didn't recognise my kernel.
It showed kernel for only N910F and N910G
I later put my boot.img into in both folders on two different times but ended in bootloop and intermittent vibrations.
Thanks again for your guide
I'm grateful

So sorry for that. When I built the patch I put the wrong build.prop in it. I was testing different settings on my device and that was a bad one. :crying:

Ok @aaron74 I'm going to give one more try.
But can you give a detalid guide as to the kind of files to be copied to which destination?
The last time I copied only the boot.img file to the nemesis/device name folder in the original Rom.
I see META-INF in your patch, do I have to copy that as well and overwrite it since folders with same name are found in the original Rom?
Thanks

Sorry but my time is limited to a few hours at night, to get on here. I use to get on all the time, was self employed, but now working for someone.
But you copy the whole folders over to root of Rom. But you obviously got it working.
I made a post already on devs thread. Told him he could post it there if he wants. I didn't post it there cause it's just for our device and didn't want to disrupt his thread.
Glad you got it going. I love this Rom. Runs good, good battery, awesome Rom control app. Other N7 ports run alright to but I hate that bright white boot up screen they have, plus I have to mod them a lot to get running right.
I just hope this dev stays with the project.
And no, I am not a genius. I've just retained a lot of knowledge from tinkering and from all the dev and modders here on xda. But thanks for the vote of confidence.

Also, Do you use Sprint service? (Cdma)
Or GSM service?
Battery usage.
I've been running Rom for 3 days now. So battery stats should be calibrated ok by now.
Below are some pics of my battery usage. I've been working a lot so you can see I don't have much screen on time. But I think the battery usage of this Rom is very good, especially with the Ram kernel.
Do you have to resign zip for success?
Edit: After having issues attempting to install the rom with this patch, I did the following to successfully install:
1. Unzip Rom
2. Unzip patch twice
3. Take the folders inside of the Nemesis-patch folder and copy them to the inside of the NEMESIS_V2_NOTE7_PORT_N4_SNAPDRAGON folder.
4. Select everything inside of the NEMESIS_V2_NOTE7_PORT_N4_SNAPDRAGON folder and zip it up as NEMESIS_V2_NOTE7_PORT_N4_SNAPDRAGON_PACKED
5. Transfer NEMESIS_V2_NOTE7_PORT_N4_SNAPDRAGON_PACKED to the root of your sd card

I use GSM.
You are a genius because you made it possible for me to install a ROM that I wanted so badly
Only problem is the ambient light sensor.
It doesn't work properly
The screen goes very low even in bright environment.
To get it working I always have to pretend to make a call and put the phone close to my ear and back before it works
But for that and the fingerprint, everything works flawlessly.

That's from AOD. It's buggy on all these N7 ports. Either turn it off. Or what seems to help me, if your screen opens up dark, just relock phone pushing power button, and immediately push it again to unlock it.
It's been working for me, and only takes 5 extra seconds. AOD also flashes for me, which I haven't found a cure for yet.

I figured that you didn't have to zip. And yes, I was working with your newest build.prop. I am on a Sprint phone with gsm for freedompop, but about to use tmobile.
I am seeing some issues with the rom though that I didn't see in Norma v10.
1. NFC is missing
2. Rom Control is different
3. I am unable to titanium backup restore many things which causes FC's all over the place.
4. AOD is horrible.
Is there any way to grab AOD, NFC and Rom Control from Norma v10, since they are fixed on that rom?

I figured that you didn't have to zip. And yes, I was working with your newest build.prop. I am on a Sprint phone with gsm for freedompop, but about to use tmobile.
I am seeing some issues with the rom though that I didn't see in Norma v10.

You probably can swap. It's just figuring out exactly what to swap and erase. I was gonna look into some of this. But I've been too busy with work.
Good luck!

[/COLOR]Please, I'm a little shy in this, I did what I say in the thread, but the truth is I do not understand the process well, there's a way I can explain it easier. Or images. Thank you and good work, greetings from Dominican Republic!

Sorry bud. I haven't had much time to get on here.
Yes I wrote the thread a lil vague, more for people that are use to this stuff.
When I get some time, I can try to walk you through this and make a lil better guide.
This is just bad timing. I got so many things going at once. Just started new job, fuel pump went out on car, just bought a new ssd for my laptop trying to get time to install fresh Linux. Just put new 128gb sd in this phone and all my files are gone. Between all that and Christmas stuff with kids.
I use to be on here hours at a time down to hours per week.
I actually just seen new Ram V3 kernel for our device and was gonna update. I'll get back with ya. :fingers-crossed:
