SM-910F Notifikation LED always Green - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a small Problem since yesterday. After charging is my Notification LED always Green, when my Display is on.
When Display off, charging Shows Red LED. WhattsApp and other notifications - Blue, as normal.
But when the Display is on, Shows it only Green. Charging, notifies - Stable green!
What i tried: customs, Stock Rom, Root +/-, 1 hour without battery. Result : 0
Samsung Service said without testing - Knox 0x1. No Warranty. Only Motherboard replace = 230 €....
Who had same issue and maybe can help?

I think that you don't need a motherboard replace just because the LED is having a strange behavior
Have you tried a factory reset?

Blinking orange and green led?

My notification light is alternating between green and orange and I have no clue why..
My battery is low but it should just blink orange for that.
I've done some research and they sat the battery is overheating, the battery is not hot at all so I'm doubting that is the issue.
I'm running ICS currently.
any ideas of what this is.
Also, I can check to see if it's a notification as the LCD is busted until I get it fixed, it's just driving me nuts.
Most probably you have a notification so the LED alternates between red for low battery and green for the notification. It's what it does on mine and I'm on ICS also (I2IEAILiiTY's hybrid)

[Q] Galaxy S4 green LED on fully charged

On my previous Galaxy S3, the LED was red when charging and turned green when fully charged. On my new Galaxy S4, the LED is red when charging, but it stays red after it is fully charged.
Did Samsung change something? Is it possibly related to the firmware? I have MDM. Or is there a new setting somewhere? I noticed that the description in the text for the charging LED is different from the text on my S3, it explicitly does state the color "red" while charging, which it did not on the S3.
I am a little worried that it may be a problem with my device. However, I checked that the color green is working with *#0*# in the dialer. Also, the phone seems to be acknowledge being fully charging correctly in battery stats (battery monitor widget). Can anyone help me and clarify what the expected behavior is or if I have a problem and I should take some action?

When your phone says100% leave for a further 20-30mins then will go green and say unplugg fully charged. That's what mine does any how mate.

Hi,
I am currently on ME2
But it has been the same with all firmwares I have had.
As cameracartwright says, leave it charge until it says 100%
That is about 2-2 and a half hours.

Thank you for the reply. I will try that. For my S3 the LED immediately turns green after it reaches 100%. I think I did have it on 100% for 10 minutes. Battery monitor widget says "fully charged" and displays the time since reaching 100%.
But you have this behavior that the LED of the S4 only turns green after being charged for a longer while?
Success! I left it to charge for a longer time and I just checked and it said "24 minutes" on battery and the LED was indeed green. Thank you everyone. So glad there is no hardware problem with the LED or battery or some software issue that would require me to wipe my device. Thank god for XDA.
You have to wait until the message of Battery Fully Charged appears.

Fortunately, not needed! Was a rom problem, many roms! After full wipe with repartition using odin, pit, baseband, ecc ...using the rom of Alexyuh, the led now work correctly and no random reboot/shutdown for now!

[Q] Notification light stuck

Since this morning my notification light is stuck in solid green. I did not install any new apps, rebooting did not fix it. I even powered off the phone and the light remained on. Only removing the battery turns the green led off but as soon as I put the battery back the LED turns back on to green, even without starting the phone again.
Is it me or does this sound like a hardware fault...?
I have a I9505 running stock XXUDMH8, TPH csc. I am not rooted or in any way running a modified system. I have no apps dedicated to overriding LED settings installed.
Any ideas on what to try?
Thanks.
Try a factory reset from settings... but u will loose app data...

As the led stays on even with the phone off, do you believe this will help?
I am not rooted so doing a factory reset is a major thing as I have no backups.

I did a factory reset and it didn't fix the problem. My notification LED is still stuck in green. I guess it's off to warranty.... Not happy.

Yes, the LED stays on with the phone powered off. If I remove the battery the LED quickly fades away but starts back on as soon as I put the battery back in place.

Seems like a problem with the hardware. You need to return it back and most probably warranty will cover it... Try also to disable the notification led from the settings...
I have almost exactly the same problem. Today I left the phone charging overnight and in the morning the notification LED was bright blue. It stayed this way after I opened and read all texts and mails, it stayed regardless if the screen was on or off, it even stayed when I turned the phone off(!) and I only managed to put it out by pulling the battery - however it went back on immediately after replacing the battery. I turned off all notifications in settings, made sure I have plenty of free memory and card space etc. etc. The only thing I managed to do was to make it dim blue instead of bright blue after shutting down and booting up again. Now it lurks in the darkness, occasionally flashing, but mostly just glowing in blue.
The only ideas that I have left:
- some app update brought an unsolicited feature, but how to check it w/o wiping up everything? and how the hell does it stay lit after turning off the phone anyway?
- something went bad when charging - but these phones are supposed to have some protections from overcharging, so it shouldn't be a problem if it stays connected at 100%, right? besides, the phone works perfectly normal otherwise.
- I'm using an s-view cover, maybe it has something to do with it? I tried removing it to no avail - but maybe the magnets embedded in the cover contributed over time to the now-observed led malfunction?
@AlexandreT - do you use S-view? from what I understand, your problem also occurred after charging - did the phone stay on charger for long, eg. overnight? maybe you managed to solve the problem since?

I don't use S-view. The problem occurred after charging overnight. It was solved by replacing the whole motherboard under warranty.
Sorry for the late answer.
Just use led xposed modules to switch it off

Hahaha. You're replying after three years ????

Notification led blinking red.

Noticed that my s7 notification led is flashing red. I can't turn it off. Cleared all background apps and it still flashes. Battery is 80% so can't be that.
In settings I've even turned off led notification .
Any ideas ?

Had the same issue. Today I had an update to elephone_s7_97_20170218 OTA (more than one gigagyte). The led can be configured to different colors on charging and notifications.
Yeah I get that blinking thing. Still to uograde.
I'm rooted and I think I can't flash the upgrade via twrp.

Nougat notification led issue

Hi all.. After upgrading to nougat via official OTA, my notification led is red instead of green. Is this normal?
Hello. Would you please specify what apps are giving you red notifications?
If WhatsApp is giving you red LED notifications, please check this article: http://ccm.net/faq/40506-customize-led-notifications-on-whatsapp
Good luck!

Zenfone 3 Standard does not have multiple colour notification led , it only have 3 colours which is green for notification (eg misscall, sms, whatsapp, line, full battery etc), orange when charging and red when your battery is low . But now when i received message it shows red instead of green.

Have u done a factory reset?
Hey, have you done a factory reset after updating? I've got not the led issue but phone get a bit wired so I reset it and reset the phone from last Google backup. Now everything works smooth.
Mine is kinda erratic... Sometimes showing green, sometimes red.. And sometimes not flashing at all. I plan to do a factory reset n see what happens.

That's why to work he must choose green, because it's on white as default. But since the Zenfone doesn't support white, it shows red.
