ELE Watch by Elephone , Wear, $115, IP67, round 1.5" TFT 360x360, 400mAh, MTK2601 - Other SmartWatches

ELE Watch by Elephone , Wear, $115, IP67, round 1.5" TFT 360x360, 400mAh, MTK2601
New ELE Watch by Elephone , Wear, $115, IP67, round 1.5" TFT 360x360, 400mAh battery, MTK2601 Chipset - dual-core 1.2GHz ARM Cortex-A7 CPU and Mali-400 MP GPU. Heart rate monitor. Bluetooth 4.0, RAM: 512MB, ROM: 4GB. Available in silver and black.
Android Wear and a MediaTek chip ... shame hey, as there will be no (or not much) development on XDA. The XDA article the GSM-Arena article.
On probably not as bad as the other cheaper brands and appealing only to the Android Wear fans.

http://www.gizchina.com/2015/09/25/first-real-photos-of-elephones-ele-watch/
A few more angles. A little plump, but I'd still call it a winner.

Interested in this watch... But probably lack of support....

I'm hoping it will have GPS

Brand: Elephone
Built-in chip type: MTK2601
Bluetooth version: Bluetooth 4.0
RAM: 4G
ROM: 32G
Waterproof: YES
Waterproof rating: IP67
This cannot be correct - this is at Gearbest http://www.gearbest.com/smart-watches/pp_247182.html
This chipset cannot even support these sizes - as far as I know.
No mention of Android Wear.
Looks nice but a bit skeptical about the information and it lacks the ability to make calls direct from the watch.
EDIT: more info at Geekbuying http://www.geekbuying.com/item/ELEP...Rate-Monitor-Compass-Music-Player-356853.html
Presell Product Lead-time: 2015-12-31
Mentions Wear but still has those ridiculous storage specs. Hope I'm proven wrong but this chipset normally uses the standard 512ram and 4gb rom.

Yeah those specs seem very unlikely.
This videos says 512 RAM and 4GB ROM with a 320x320 screen.
Youtube - Elephone Elewatch (ELE Watch) smartwatch Android Wear by Notebook Italia
Actually says 5012 but I'm pretty sure that was just lost in translation.
Would link but no-link noob policy : )

Any news about this smartwatch? Elephone presented the W2, but I haven't heard anything more about the ELE watch.

Manufacturer: Samsung
Display: 4 inch, calibrated Super AMOLED+
Processor: 1.2 Ghz Dual-Core
Camera: Doesnt matter, I think the Nexus S's camera is good enough
Round corners, curves. Contour display.
1 GB RAM
16/32 GB ROM
SD CARD SLOT
4G
Build material: Plastic, but a little more grip at the back. Black.
The reason I am going for Samsung again, is because I like their hardware. As you can see the device I want looks like an upgraded Nexus S. I think the design of the Nexus S is fantastic, but a little more grip would do it for the back. Also, Super AMOLED+ got rid of many of the disadvantages Super AMOLED had, like PenTile. Only thing that bothers me is that the colors are a little bit too oversaturated. That is why I like LCD better, for now.
But it would be awesome if there was a way to calibrate the colors, so that you can choose normal (like Motorola Droid), oversaturated (like Galaxy S) or custom. That, with the advantages of LED, and no stupid PenTile, would be an awesome display!
Realistically, the next Nexus would probably be something like this:
Manufacturer: Motorola or HTC
Display: 4-4.3" 960x640 to 1280x720 resolution (either sLCD or sAMOLED)
CPU: OMAP4 or Tegra 2 for Motorola, QSD8672 for HTC (all dual core)
GPU: SGX540 for OMAP4, Adreno 220 for HTC
RAM: 1GB LPDDR-266
Storage: 16/32GB plus microSD
Camera: 8MP with flash
Misc: Dual mic, FFC, 4G, NFC, Wireless b/g/n, 1600mAh battery, ~9mm thick
What would I like to see (while still within the realm of reality)?
Manufacturer: HTC
Display: 4-inch 1280x720 (any sort of OLED, Sony is working on some nice displays)
CPU: Qualcomm MSM8960 (1.5GHz dual core)
GPU: Adreno 300 (200m+ tri/s)
RAM: 1GB LPDDR-400
Storage: 16GB (to keep costs down) plus mircoSD
Camera: 12MP microlense zooming with dual LED flash
Misc: Dual mic, FFC, 4G, NFC, Wireless b/g/n, 1800mAh battery, ~9mm thick
guys, what about a nexus from nokia?
now for me that would be a dream come true. the best combo of hardweare and softweare. it could be a great hit. i would love for something like this ro become a reality.
anybody agree with me on that one, or am i just a lone dreamer?...
on the other topic it was already said to be a joke only when he mentioned
but Nokia is indeed looking to partner up with other OS markers
but there are no solid confirmation if they are going one way or another
they basically opened the doors and are inviting prospective OS partners for their phones
don't be surprised to see a Nokia running Apple's iOS
but chances seems to be Nokia seems to be favoring Microsoft
however Android has the market dominance in the long run, it'll not be smart for Nokia to not choose Android and partner with Google
if they do, we'll most likely see "Nexus N"
I just hope the Nexus 2 will be made by a company with better outer casing

I guess so but there really is nothing bad with the shell of the NS. It only feels cheap because its glossy plastic. I've dropped my phone quite a few times and its never even chipped. I have no scratches on the screen or the back. I'm quite happy with the SNS and my only hope for the next Nexus is just that it be better than anything else on the market

it seems like, soon, we'd have the same number of pixels on our phone display as a 55" full HD TV
You mean "Nexus 3", as Nexus 2 = Nexus S
However...
Tegra 2/Tegra 3
Screen = or < 4'' (> 4'' is too big), 3D, Super AMOLED/AMOLED Plus

Camera: 8 MP C-Z camera with dLED flash
Design: Curved with 'butt'
Battery: 2700 mAH
RAM: 1,5 GB
ROM: 32 GB
SD CARD SLOT up to 64GB
Network: No matter I buy from shop
Other:USB charging & V/A processing.
New kind:screen to border, kinetic charging, pseudofuel battery.

Haha
even before the real Apple iWatch is released, there is already a clone. If it is true, this is the smartwatch with the best price / performance ratio i've seen so far.
The eBay seller sent me a URL to the manufacturer's site. After a trip through Google Translate, it's not nearly as interesting. Bummer.
The screen is <1" with 96x64 resolution and a 180mah battery. My guess is that it has about the same capabilities as a U8 watch. If anyone can translate the rest of the page, that would be interesting.
http://www.goophone.hk/product-74.html
This watch has less than the capabilities than the U8 watch. Definitely isn't MTK6572 nor Android. It runs nucleus RTOS, but a very stripped down one color UI. Like this watch:

From Neptune Pine to Neptune Duo, now with a large curved display

Neptune Duo and Neptune Pine, two different devices with one purpose to make our life easier. Both Neptune smartwatches, or bracelets are designed perfectly for the anatomical hand form and promises a good hardware configuration.
Neptune Pine is the wearable device released last year with an unusual large display, a 2.4 inch TFT capacitive touchscreen with 320 x 240 resolution. For the screen is used Gorilla Glass. Pine is powered by a powerful processor, a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 clocked at 1.2Ghz two variant of storage, 16 GB and 32 GB and 512 Mb of RAM. Like a good detail, Pine has a Micro-SIM slot card and the possibility to expand the internal storage. Is equipped with a microphone for calls and a speaker and support WI-FI. Pine has also two cameras, the front-facing is a 0.3 MP and the main is 5 MP each with dedicated flash.

This, this and more this. I have long bored my friends that the connectivity should always be on you and the screens should be dumb. This is an embodiment of that idea.
I hope they do well and will definitely be getting one when they come out.

New Yotaphone 3 specs released via GFXBench

GFXBench have released a fair amount of new information relating to the unreleased Yotaphone 3.
This information can be seen here, and (amongst other info) includes the following:
OS: Android 7.1.1
CPU: Octa Core 2.0GHz
GPU: Qualcomm Adrenoâ„¢ 506
Memory: 3.4 GB
Storage: 51 GB
Back camera picture: 11 MP (4000 x 3000)
Back camera video: UHD (4K) (3840 x 2160)
Front camera picture: 12 MP (4160 x 3120)
Front camera video: 4096 x 2160
NFC: No
Simcards: 1
I'm quite happy with these specs, especially the 4K video recording. However, the lack of NFC is a little unfortunate.
What are your thoughts?
I just hope there will be some community support. I'm not buying any new phones that have no devs for ROMs, kernels...
again no dual-sim!!!
SDcard man! Why the hell you don't put a f*****g sdcard hole??? If not, at least I need an internal 128GB... oh of course, I only have to pay 100$ more for that extra of 64GB....
Any info of the batery??
There isn't info regarding fingerprint sensor, but it have a pedometer :-|
This specs could be wrong or from a test build... There is a spec sheet for the Yota3:
"According to a spec sheet provided to Engadget, the Yota3 packs a much bigger 5.5-inch 1080p AMOLED display on the front and a 5.2-inch 720p E Ink touchscreen on the back, both of which are the least you'd expect after such a long wait. Likewise, you'll find a fingerprint sensor on the front side. It'll also come with Android Nougat, 4GB of RAM, dual SIM slots (one of which also serves as a microSD slot), a 12-megapixel main camera with dual flash, a 13-megapixel front camera, a 3,200mAh battery and a USB-C port which also does audio output."
@michael.santos , from where did you get that info? And also important: does this information also discredit the estimated prices were said here?

...it will be a tough sell with that aging chipset plus an apparent lack of new innovation.
LOL, the only phone on the market that's any different from all of the rest of the phones, won't sell because it lacks innovation.
Seems innovation today is more MHz and different radius on the edge
How about some RGB LEDs, upside down screen, I'm rich app and e-celeb logos? Now, that's what I call innovative!
No NFC?
The specs look great - slightly larger display, slightly larger epaper display, more RAM etc.
But no NFC would be an issue for me, and the CPU does not look like the fastest either.
