Stagefright new 2 vulnerabilities - Moto G 2015 General

It seems that there're 2 more vulnerabilities now. Let's hope Motorola fix this. My guess will be fine with the new 6.0 updates. CM and AOSP users can check it his new vulnerabilities are on this builds too? Thanks!

CM just took the fixes from the latest monthly security release Google pushed to AOSP.

Sorry if this is a noob question.
What is the reason that people come back to stock rom to receive OTA updates? If i'm using CM12 and they fix the stagefright bugs, what is the reason to come back to stock to receive the OTA?
I see lots of people reverting back to receive the updates, but since you change roms what is the difference? You will be changing the whole system.
Or are people who revert back actually just people who rooted their phones and are unrooting to receive the ota?

Security policy update

Does anyone know what this update is all about? Wouldn't want to update anything that might make it difficult for me to root my phone later.

Just go ahead and install, these updates don't patch the OS if that's what your asking

It enforces security policy's , like policies in Windows (if you're familiar with that)
Here can you read more about it
https://www.samsungknox.com/en/products/knox-workspace/how-to/lock-down-android
Received this notification for my note 4 as well today and I'm hesitant to install it.
I still haven't installed it.
I would not update until I see some benefit from it
Just checked my apps in the market to update and this is no longer listed.

Beamed from my Nexus 5
That's disappointing. Although shouldn't CM13 be released independently to zui?

yes, i too saw that, but the same timeline release for the both newly launched (Zuk Z1) and 2014 released (one plus one)..?
whats disappointing there? You can always run CM13 before that, but it really takes time to get a more or less stable COS marshmallow out and a few months of development work is not much, as testing and debugging takes up a ****ton of time for them... The only important thing is that they keep Lollipop up2date too, including major bug and security fixes while they work on marshmallow. And so far they have done that, libstagefright etc was always fast patched by CM and COS team.
Imho i don´t get why always everyone needs the latest buggy android version on their device, all i want is a STABLE os as i need my phone for working daily!
Reading the interview of Steve Kondik the work to be done to move CM from 5.1 to 6 will much smaller that what was from 4.4 to 5.
So hopefully we'll see it much quicker......
lets hope for that

MXPE MM6.0 Multi-Window - Does it have it?

I'm still on 5.1.1 and I used Multi-Window on my old Note devices daily for work. I found a temporary workaround (although it's still a MAJOR hassle without it) and this is the Android M feature I've been dying for. Pleeease, please please tell me it made it into the final release for this device. Did it?

Out of the box, no...But supposedly this is a way to enable it. Someone would have to try that out and report back I guess.

Works ok...

Yeah, I installed 6.0, and tried it out. It works... kind of. It's more incomplete than I had hoped and won't work for my purposes. oh well.
If you have root you can enable it easy with a root explore.

hmm... that would still make the Note 5 the king of phablets...
it kinda sucks tbh. can't resize. and it gets confusing as to how to get two apps to go together. it's weird. samsungs kills ot.

Not trying to add more false hope about MM, but......

Someone posted this at Zentalk. Perhaps they're getting ready to roll out the release soon if they're cutting off beta recruitment.

I could be wrong, but, I believe they cut off recruiting when the beta was first released.

Beta test application was still open about 3-4 weeks after the .61 beta hit the web, make it mid- to late July.
At least, that was the last time I checked.

I happen to remember that only because I've tried joining the beta program back then, after installing the leaked beta .61 that is [emoji16]
Never got a reply though, so here I am still waiting.. God knows when we're going to get the final release.

Downgrading Oneplus 5 from nougat

Has anyone tried downgrading from nougat yet? I'm curious if there were any issues?
Why would you want to do this?

I doubt Xposed ever comes to Nougat. It's been out a full year now and O is around the corner.
Dont think xposed ever come to Nougat or Android O.....Actually i dont even need that anymore. Nougat is a nice improvement over MM. Xposed isnt worth it for me...
Seriously? Why?

I feel that. Thanks for finding the right gif for this.
We dont have marshmallow i guess?
Would not boot, proprietary blobs try to look for symbols that android MM doesn't have, which causes linker to crash
