6p reviews? - Nexus 6P Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Are there any reviews out there beyond the initial hands on everyone did at the event?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Free mobile app

Nothing yet.... either they dont have review units or they are under NDA

Be sure to search before starting a new thread.

I did, only found the initial hands on from the event, nothing that goes into any detail of build quality and such

My point was don't start a new thread when one already exists.

Does anyone know which rom included cornerstone?

To all developers
I think cornerstone is the most important feature in tablet that distinguish tablet from our smartphones
So, could anyone can build cornerstone into a customed rom
And the code is opened for everybody
HTML:

It's buggy no one's going to use it. It's basically abandonware.

That's disappointing. Got a link?

Not really a helpful response is it? It would have been better just to ignore.
You could try the Android Development forum.
Cornerstone roms are typically done by Team EOS, but I don't know that they've done one for the nexus.
It's not really all that helpful though when I've tried it. I prefer just using the recent apps button.

Huh? It was a comment on how many people ignore the rules of this forum and how its getting a little out of hand..
Anyways now that this is in the right section, I believe cornerstone is a dying effort since it doesn't seem to be very well optimized, i think it needs to be restarted from the ground up, also noting that the original team seems to have abandoned jt
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
So cornerstone has to be abandoned.
Does anyone know that is it possible to work like the multi screen function of Note 10.1?
It should be helpful that tablet can have a real multitasking function.

Search in Stock messaging app

I was fairly surprised today when I tried to search my conversation list in the stock messaging app for a particular person. I knew the thread was there but search returned zero results.
So Google the kings of search have made a messaging app that doesn't allow you to search by sender? Really? That's beyond useless.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
Legit Question
EDIT: This flaming was not deserved... Sorry for my hasty reply from a hasty read...
Absolutely sure that you are joking... I haven't had any problems searching the threads any time on my Nexus 4 when it was on Stock ROM or CyanogenMod.
If you provide more details about the phone, ROM and other things and conclusive proof of this blame, it may be believed. Till then, this is an unnecessary thread :/

I can confirm that there is no such option to search the person by name in stock ROM

Didn't read the term "person name"...

Thanks Jamel. Not sure I deserved such a flaming for a legit question.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
lol I never noticed that either. I mean, I don't really get enough messages to need to search through them, but that is pretty lame that you can't search by name.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
Thanks for the edit bio. I don't search my sms a lot but when I do, it always by sender rather than content (which searches fine). Maybe Google will add this in the next update?

If you have 12 GB what's the problem no files are left behind when you flash ROMs 12gb is normal for a 16 GB nexus

Well used it and it said one folder was 3gb and stuff
Sometimes when you flash ROMs the tablet gets confused as to how much memory is available I've heard of it plenty times when going back to stock usually a factory reset or if that doesn't work reflashing the ROM. You need to get the tablet to reevaluate how much storage it has. It currently thinks it a 16gb version.

Might I suggest that future inquiries for your device should be directed to the 2013 forums so that you don't get the wrong information considering the 2 devices are so different from each other

So you would be OK if this person took some advice from you specific to the 2012 and applied it to their 2013 model? And if it bricked it?

Considering that this person only asked about how to free up space on his Nexus, I doubt that would have happened. Of course I would have offered direction to the proper forum if it was something critical. I didn't find it surprising at all that after a few members jumped in to help, your post had be the one letting him know that he shouldn't be in this thread, nevermind any advice on his issue. But it seems that every time I run into one of your posts, it is almost never helpful yet very terse and usually rude. Most of your answers are either about the member being in the wrong sub forum or that they didn't read the changelog. It's almost like spam being posted over and over.

I made a thead about this in the general section I think we need to change the forum title. Not much danger in this case but a 2012 ROM or kernel on a 2013 device would be a pain in the a$$ to fix.

My point exactly.
If we were to wait to inform the op that he was in the wrong forum until after he had done something like that, it would have been irresponsible of us to not head him off at the pass and try to prevent such a thing.
There was nothing rude in this thread until someone wanted to play keyboard cowboy because they had a grudge against me.

Let's just try and be polite to each other @Pirateghost is correct I should have pointed out he was in the wrong forum before giving advice.

It is Google's MVNO service.

http://mashable.com/2015/04/25/google-project-fi-disruption/?utm_cid=mash-com-fb-main-link
There's another thread on this topic on the first page of this forum. Did we really need a new one?
Now that Project Fi is official and a discussion thread is established, I'm going to close this one and direct discussion here: Google Launches Project Fi
Thanks.
