Miui V5 for Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Guys, is there a possibility that MIUI V5 will support our new phone? I really want MIUI with TW Framework on my Note 3. Thanks.

Theres always a possibility seeing as they have done it for note 1 and 2,

Unfortunately it may takes a while because the MIUI v5 is currently based on 4.2.2 but not 4.3, but GN3's stock roms are 4.3
That is why there is already MIUI roms for galaxy S4 (stock roms are 4.2)
So maybe we have to wait until MIUI develops a 4.3 version (MIUI v6?)

Sorry, I was referring for Note 3....It was just a typo. Yes, I owned note 1 and note 2 and I was using MIUI.

I hope that they move fast to Kit Kat version as eventually we are getting that 4.4 update...

well im hoping they or we at XDA can manage to make it based on CM11. so much faster but yes you lose the S-pen features. only time will tell

Be happy with your note 3. The S5 was a disaster and a straight up dissapointment. Note 3 is a better phone of the 2. The only differences are that the S5 is waterproof and a minimal margin better cpu. you won't feel the difference.

Not disappointed with the phone I'm talking about development. You can bet your bottom dollar two months after the S5 release we will see MIUI and many other Roms on it as people are going to flock to it. What is very disappointing from the note 3 is it hasn't got half the development that the Note 2 have and the phone is already 6 months old

Hi all, anyone know of an update for this. I had MIUI on my GS4 and loved it. Now have the SM-N9005 and would love to have the same ROM on this device.

Good things to those who wait hopefully. One of the reasons why I picked myself up a Note 3 was because the Note 2 was so hugely popular with a myriad of custom ROMs available. Thank Samsung for KNOX which has kind of put a dampener on the developement of ROMs and porting of them too IMO

my thoughts exactly...note 3 did not get that many custom roms heck even PA is not available for the note 3 and some developers are already moving on to newer devices....still it is a free service and i am happy for what i got with the snapdragon variant and a moment of silence for the exynos guys

PA just need a Legacy Maintainer is all, if you want you can compile it and release it. They'll allow it. They officially maintain Nexus devices only. Hence other brands being Legacy. (PA is a very small team, hence them asking on G+ for legacy maintainers)

I am sure I read that miui is in closed beta testing for our phone. Had to have so many miui credits before u could apply as tester though.

Can any build a rom or port the note 4 features, Apps, Themes to the Verizon note 3....????? I have Jasmine rom working good on my note 3 now , but i like the white in the note 4 UI settings.

Dude, if it was possible yet, it would be done. Note 4 is 4.4.4...we only have 4.4.2 other then the leak. Also, this does not belong in the themes/apps thread.

Jasmine ROM and Hyperdrive both have ROM updates coming with Note 4 app ports. Just wait on it.

Request: Note 5 Port for N9005

Since note 5 is out I was wondering if there are any ports for our n9005. I've searched xda and failed to find any. I request the great devs here to start working on a note 5 port for n9005. And if there are already some ports, please update my knowledge and post links here.

Really ?? Note 5 firmware is based on 5.1.1, Samsung hasn't even updated note 3 to 5.1.1, so how is this possible without a base and kernel sources to make or port 5.1.1 touch wiz rom t
?? This whole task looks impossible to me.
Maybe he's using 5.0.2 base and porting apps and launcher or maybe not. @darkera13 is this true ?

I don't know he said he works on it so its just a matter of time. 5.1.1 won't release officially on note 3 ( TW based )

You don't have to wait for note 5 . All these developers porting s6 Edge can port newest 5.1.1 . For example Galaxy S6 Edge (SM-G925I) has 5.1.1 for at least 4 regions .

I've also looked for s6 ports but they go as far as 5.0.2 till now. And a note to note port will be more compatible and also we'll be able to enjoy the latest note features

It's still 64bit to 32bit. I'm afraid it will not run that smooth. Haven't found a s6 port yet that runs smooth on my note 3 (i flashed them all). Note 4 ports are better in my opinion. T-mobile has released 5.1.1 for the note 4. So i hope someone will port that.

I respectfully disagree with both of you . Aurora 6 was giving me some trouble ( for example try shutting down . It comes wright back up , snote does not work , I could not remap the buttons , menu button was driving me crazy and couple other things I can't recall now ) I did full wipe and all but still had problems . I am running dark lord v3 and it is smooth as butter on olive oil . :good:

I'm now trying the diamond rom and the lag is minimal, but like all s6 ports there's a delay when opening an app. Even in the settings menu it sometimes takes a second to open (for example) the battery stats.

The best note 4 port so far is Darklored v2.2....AURORA v6 doesn't come close. The s6 ports have this weird auto dim even when the brightness level not set at auto. Please lots of lags when opening apps plus the battery Drain tho Is something else

I've been out of the loop and didn't find the answer by searching the forums, so:
Does anybody know of a Marshmallow 6.0 Touchwiz port (say Note5 based) for Note 3?
I know there will be compromises, but the 5.1.1 port seems to work ok (as long as you use the Note 3 camera to do HDR).
I know of the AOSP/CM ports. Not interested in those.
Yes, Note 3 is getting long in the tooth, but it has enough RAM/ROM/CPU to run Marshmallow decently.

That topic is filled with people calling it fake. Apparently, the guy just stole someone's MM themed 5.1.1 ROM and changed the build.prop to make it look like it was actually 6.0.1. However, the SDK version is still 22, which means it is actually 5.1.1. A real MM ROM should have SDK version 23.

To the people who are going to port the Galaxy S8 and Note 8 to the Note 4. Please for the love of god do not integrate root in the ROMS so that we can use android pay and Pokemon go. Also leave instructions for us to customize the ROM from WIN-RAR so that we wont need to install root into our devices. Thank you

For the last time.. THE GALAXY NOTE 4 DOES NOT BECOME A NOUGAT UPDATE! You can NOT migrate 7.0 Firmeware to 6.0.1 if the hardware is different!

Do not post request in the development threads please. You are more than welcone to port the S8 and Note 8 when they are released yourself. Xda isn't a place to come and get free stuff to make your phone cool, it's a place for developers to come together and share idea's and work

AOSP roms are easy to port cause they are open source "Android Open Source Project" even the s4 has aosp android n. But touchwiz roms are a totally different story

Then how the Note 3 has a Note 7 port based on android marshmallow when it's last update was lollipop? I don't see why this is different from that...

You are right, it isnt completely impossible.
But if you observe, note 3 has more active developers than note 4.
The renowned darkera13 has been working on note 3since the very beginning, even aryamod.
As for note 4, the best is aurora and norma.
Anyways, even if someone is able to port it, forget about those stupid requests, that the OP
has made.
