unlock code via HonorTuner - Ascend Mate 7 General

I've learnt about veeeery easy way to obtain an unlock code without need to contact Huawei.
1. First of all you have to be rooted (via Kingroot or 360 root). Kingroot worked well for me.
2. You have to install HonorTuner (attached).
3. Launch HonorTuner, go to Hardware Info and check out numbers in WVLOCK. This is your unlock code!
People say it works. As for me I didn't unlock my bootloader yet, so I can't confirm. It would be nice if anyone with unlocked bootloader with unlock code from Huawei could check and say whether WVLOCK and Huawei unlock code are the same.

I don't understand the point of this! If this tool is only going to show the unlock code of that phone on which it is installed, how is it useful to others? Let's just say that my phone is rooted and I install this tool HonorTuner on my phone and I tell you that yes, the unlock code that it shows (for my phone) is the same as the one that I got from Huawei, how would it help to get the unlock code of YOUR device?

Unlocking bootloader is normally the first step before rooting so is there any point to this?
Or can you properly root it without unlocking the bootloader?
I personally wouldn't want my phone rooted without a custom recovery to back it up before changes so you should still unlock the bootloader first.

This is for people that want to unlock their bootloader but don't want to spend days and days waiting for huawei to send their unlock codes. Just root with kingroot, and install the app.
PD: I also confirm it works

Thanks man, this saved my life and my h*as !!!
My Mate 7 was stack in bootloop at Huawei logo, due to a wrond (bul****) procedure I fount and followed on the web.
Recovery was lost and bootloader was FAULTY unlocked (it really was still locked)
I rooted the phone, installed your APK and then obtained the BL unlock code.
Then everithing was easy and the Mate returned alive.
Therefore thanks for your suggestion and to have saved my Mate 7 life !!!
Cheres !!!

Some Huawei ROMs have the tendency to re-lock the bootloader after a while, has happened to mine a few times already.

Is my P9 Lite really bricked ?

Hi everyone, first message here, and not for the best..
Here's the story.
Yesterday evening, I tried to install Xposed Framework, but I was stuck in a boot loop (even when I tried to uninstall it), so I "dirty" flashed a Nougat build on my device. Phone was back alive, despite a bug from the mobile data.
Today, I had to restart my phone because of this issue, but now, my phone is somehow bricked. Bootloader is relocked (I dont know how the **** it happened), so I can't do anything, as the phone is stuck on a bootloop, and I don't have TWRP anymore. I tried fastboot, but nothing is working on it. Even VNS Toolkit is no use. I tried a force update with the UPDATE.APP, but I'm still in a bootloop.
So, tl;dr, phone bricked, bootloader locked, no recovery, and no code to unlock my bootloader.
Please XDA people, help me !!
You should try to get your unlock code and unlock your bootloader again, you can find the informations of the phone on the original box.
DO NOT TRY TO INSTALL XPOSED ON NOUGAT, there is still no Xposed version for nougat.
It was Xposed for MM, so after my fail, I decided to update to N.
On the box, I have IMEI1 and IMEI2, and the SN. But I don't have the "PIN" verification code (you can only get it via HMI code..) So I think I'll never be able to unlock my BL :/
I had the same issue lost my bootloader unlock code but there is another way to get bootloader unlock code: DC unlocker
Just follow instructions on there site for p9 lite
On the tool set the manufacturer to "huawei phones" not modems. I made that mistake too first
You need to buy 4 credits to unlock = 4 euros so the tool is not free
Good luck
Email huawei to get your unlock code. It's free!
Just send an email to them

Ok bro you want a lolly now? It's a sillicon lotery you were lucky thats all
I dont earn anything with this btw just helping for alternatives bcause some people cant afford waiting for huawei mail if there phone is bricked
Hi everyone, quick update.
I tried to get my BL unlock code from Huawei, but they wanted my Product ID (how nice of them..)
DC-Unlocker is no use for me, as I only could boot into fastboot.
My service provider helped me a lot, and told me to wipe data/factory reset via the Vol+/Power button method. Somehow, it kinda worked, because now the phone is booting, I have the configuration running, selecting language, region, Wifi, but after Wifi+ option, I have the "Checking Info" window, but it crash, and goes back to Wifi+ config.
So now, I'm stuck here...
UPDATE 2:
I managed to get my BL unlock code !!
But now, fastboot is not letting me unlock it (fastboot: command not allowed.) I'm desperate !! Any reasons why ?
UP3:
Phone is FRP Locked, I'm pretty sure I can't go further because of this
Fastboot wont work bcause you havent enabled usb debugging mode and you cant enable bcause you cant boot in the rom
Have you tried the 336 nougat update.app?

[How to] flash Global to China Mi6 without UBL

I bought the MI6 and find out that without tools or unlock bootloader, there is no way to flash a global rom to china rom. My Mimax convenient EDL cannot be used in Mi6.
Unlock is easy, but since mine is new and under warranty, i prefer a Xiaomi rom.
Luckily i fond this tool:
https://drive.google.com/uc?export=download&id=0BwypTnSm1wlhTkp0ai1LUXZKdkk
Credit to the dev http://en.miui.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=663972&highlight=xiaomitool
Download this, run, and follow the screen.
it will check your boot, recovery, then list the rom that possible to install.
Choose global, lets it download, choose recovery and the tool do the rest.
Thank you. I will give it a try on " bricked" mi5 and new mi6.
This tool make unlock bootloader automatically... so your warranty is gone after

I checked the unlock status in developer, mine is still locked.
i think this tool somehow by pass the recovery to install the global rom.

Just ask for permission to unlock bootloader, usually takes a week or so. Unlock > flash > lock again. No need to experiment with some tools or whatnot official.

I already had been using the phone for long enough, the permission took 4 hours to go through. Never been an active user of their services either.
Actually I am looking for a way to wipe whole partition as my second-hand mi6 is binding with a mi account which is not mine.
Flashing in EDL mode is easy to flash any official from you want but asking to unlock the device after setting up.
Though there is some tricks can be done to bypass the checking, I cannot log on my mi account or even restart device.
I had just had a tried as this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-max/how-to/installing-twrp-locked-bootloader-t3406501
To flash TWRP directly by MiFlash. But fail to boot in it with a 'the system has been corrupted'.
Just wanna give more ways to flash or unlock with the limitation of officially unlock BL

Bootloader unlock without unlock code from Huawei

Is it possible to unlock the bootloader without the unlock code coming from Huawei itself?
I want to unlock the bootloader. Many pages on the web (and on this forum as well) say I need to get the unlock code from huawei, but... it seems that huawei is not collaborative any more: Honor/Huawei’s bootloader unlock page disappears with no explanation
Can I work it out without the code?
Actually, what I really want to do is...
Actually, what I really want to do is...: install a different firmware.
I'm a real noob in the world of modding & custom rom.
As far as I understand, unlocking bootloader is required in order to install a different ROM: is it right? or can I install it somehow even with bootloader locked? Also, can I root the P8 without unlocking the bootloader?
My P8 is on the latest firmware I recently received OTR from Huawei: GRA-L09C02B405. The phone is starting to have some problems: hight battery drenage, UI freezing and rebooting from time to time.
I'd like to install a previous version of Huawei official firmware, or different a custom ROM (I read about some of them in this forum: any suggestion?). But as far a I understand, unlocking bootloader is required, and it seems that without the code from Huawei I'm blocked
Ik zit met de zelfde vraag, ook mijn P8 kan ik niet unlocken website van Huawei met deze optie is verdwenen.
I have the same question, also my P8 I can't unlock Huawei's website with this option is gone.
You now have to contact Huawei and request it, providing IMEI, SN, Product Code, Model, and reason why you wish to unlock it.
Here is a link to contact the UK (most people say this is more successful than others) :- https://consumer.huawei.com/uk/contact-us/
Thanks @Sparkrite, I will try that way.
Can you help me also with my second post in this thread? I mean, do I have to unlock the bootloader in order to flash a custom rom and / or to root the phone?

For both, yes, you need to unlock your phone. For rooting, you have to flash a new boot.img, and for a custom ROM you have to flash the system.img too.
Without the unlocked bootloader you are unable to flash the images /partitions

For both NO, however it tends to be a bit easier if the bootloader is unlocked. Some third party rooting apps may or may not work, depending on what version OS you have installed, without changing the recovery partition.
However it is usually easier to root by flashing with TWRP etc. which necessitates an unlocked bootloader to allow you to flash the said recovery.img and then flashing SU.zip for example.
The same goes for flashing a system.img ( does not need an unlocked bootloader ) eg. use fastboot mode and an ADB shell or even DLOAD if it has the correct signatures. The caveat is that most if not all custom ROMs use a proprietary boot.img so an unlocked BL will be required in this case.
Hope that clears it up for you.

I asked Huawei for the code, now I'm waiting for reply.
So, if I understand correctly, even without unlocking bootloader I should be able to flash a previous version of an official firmware, ain't it? I can consider that option if I don't get the code from Huawei
Thanks a lot, you are being really helpful
Bootloader unlocking is not needed for upgrading official firmware, unfortunately, normally it is a completely different matter when trying to downgrade .

So, it seems that I really need Huawei help to do something more or less useful for me. They made something such a "unhackable" phone which can be hacked only with their support. And more or less every other vendor I assume.
Quite weird I think.
AFAIK Huawei are/were the only vendors that made it so easy to unlock the BL, esp. when their code generator was online.
Have you heard back from them yet, some people report getting the code within 12 hours ?

I got a first mail the day after I wrote, with them asking to add the reason for the code request.
This morning I answered them them that I wanted to play with root rights & custom rom, and that I was aware of the risks implied.
now (6 hours later) they sent me the code.
Quite a good support I'd say

TA-1116: bootloader and root

Hello,
I have a brand new TA-1116, on Android One 10.
Of course i'd love to unlock bootloader, install TWRP and root it.
It's unclear for me what i should do:
1) downgrade to DRG237B firmware (Anyone can confirm my TA1116 can use this downgrade without risk ?) to go to Orea 8.1
2) order an unlock code (where, please ? i found unlocklocks.com but i don't see the price).
3) go into dev mode to toggle unlock bootloader (mandatory ?)
4) fastboot flash unlock <my_unlock_file>
5) install TWRP fastboot flash recovery <twrp latest>
6) flash magisk from twrp for systemless root
Any advice is welcome
If you can root without Magisk, i'd like too. I need to run titanium backup and get rid of that BABE app (??? wtf Nokia ???) and more apps i don't need.
Thank you VM !
Answer: the downgrade is not possible without unlocked BL.
The unlock service does not need to go back to 07/2018, it is a matter of minutes and everything is left unlocked. Yay !

Hello,
I am very happy when seeing this post. Can you help me to unlock bootloader & root for the Nokia 6.1 plus TA-1116.
My last security patch is 2020-07
Thanks,
Bootloader unlock isn't officially or in a free manner supported, it's a paid service, join the telegram community for the device there are bl unlockers for different time zones contact anyone with your timezone for the service it's approx $6-7
Do not hover over random sites there's been only one site from the beginning that I can't mention here, bootloader unlock and other services, get this job done over telegram and save yourself the hassle.

Hello,
there's no longer an official way to get the bootloader unlock code, You can get the code with dc-unlocker.com or hcu-client.com (paid services - 4euros).
P.S.: I'm afraid root won't help you. Unlocking bootloader will erase all your data , since Android 7 it is impossible to bypass this process.
this make me sad.
