Typhoon RAM upgrade

I upgraded the RAM in my Typhoon to 64 MB using a HYB25L512160AC-7.5 chip, but the device always sees only 32 MB. I'm not so familiar with the software stuff. Can anyone modify the bootloader to enable 64 MB RAM? That would be really sweat!
Thanx!
I'm also interested in upgrading rom in typhoon so if anyone know howto make this phone working with bigger (64 or maybe 128 ) memory, please share with us
( I'm form Poland so forgive me my mistakes )
I thing my devices software can only see 32mb... it's maybe a driver problem...
How you upgraded RAM???
If you can post here some pohotos, OK??
and post too system info on your WM
Thank you
There is a big problem because memory has a FBGA package so you have to use a hot air solder I haven't changed RAM in my mobile, but I'm looking for a shop where I can odrer this (HYB25L512160AC-7.5 ) part in good price.
max95 - where did you buy this part?
Maybe Hardware or ROM donot support RAM update.
I think you need to modify the IPL oR SPL ,
晕死,EN文太差,还是打中文吧。 到http://www.ioicn.com.cn看看,有高人能搞定它!!
I do think aout SPVE100 someone used to upgrade it to 32m ram but not any more 'cuz the CPU don't support
I think this must be the same problem
BTW did you feel anything different after you upgrade it ??? a little fast??

What the hell........?
This is a 512MB memory chip as "...L512..." reveals that.
With this your Typhoon will be WM9 ready.
Don't forget to upgrade your CPU.
Any way u can show how u did it?

512 Mbits that is 64 Mbytes.
to be precise the chip is 32Mx16bits.

[Q] difference 448 ram vs 512 ram on hd2

is there a significant difference between the two sets : one with 448 ram and one with 512 ram
will there be any difference in the outcome if i install android
1) on nand
2) on sd card dual boot with win 6.5
3) dual boot with win 7
i have used an hd2 with 512 ram and i have used android in all three condition mentioned above and i am really satisfied with the result. however due to some problem i had to sell off that phone and now i am getting another hd2 but with 448 mb ram. will it be a noticeable difference. please help to the earliest.
If you use MAGLDR to boot Android you will have 576MB of RAM But you will only have 512MB of ROM so you will have to use AP2SD so you will not run out of internal memory for your HD2. Also some Android ROMs have a version for the TMOUS (576MB of RAM) and a version for the EU HD2 (448MB of RAM)
Correction Both types have 576 ram, it is just hidden in the reg hd2,, running magldr (or clk I assume?) unlocks it.
The tmous versions of android roms are bigger, and don't rely on the ext partition, because of the double sized rom, nothing to do with ram.

This is a question I have been trying to answer for myself Sam. if you will take a look at nmy guide where i added the info on cLK (which I am using now). I put in there a little bit about I do not think it unlocks the extra128MB of RAM like MAGLDR does cause I can find absolutly no mention of a yes it does or no it doesn't. Matter of fact I can find no mention of the subject at all anywhere besides what I put in my guide.
So if anybody out there knows the answer to this question for 100% prof positive please chime in here.
i am sorry but one set has 448 and the other one has 576 ram
none of the mobile is of tmobile. so i guess it does not matter both are equipped with 578 ram and its just that one shows shared and the other one shows total where as that is also shared. am i correct ?
Get a stock regular hd2, as they ship from HTC, it has 320 total useable ram, plus 128 taken by the graphics chip.
Flash a tmous based rom (or magldr) and a tmous radio to that phone and it changes to 448 useable plus 128 for graphics chip, just the same as a tmous.
I am using a EU HD2 with android running off SD Card and when I open Advanced Task Killer, it says I have aprox. 250mb ram free, is this a normal amount?

Internal Memory : 200 Mo ?

Hi guys,
I've just flashed my HD2 with the last NexusGingerbread 2.3.4 NAND Android ROM. I thunk I'll have 578Mo of internal memory after that... but when I go to Memory > Avalaible memory, it shows 173 free Mo.
I've got the last radio 15.40.50.
Does anyone have an idea ??
Do you have an EU HD2?
are you sure you are not confusing the amount of free space left on the rom?
Your talking about free RAM at 173

If you're talking about RAM, then yes it is okie, Both android and the GPU hides away/takes some of the ram. If you're talking about ROM, then if you have an EU HD2, then it is normal.

ram memory only 412 mb

I am using nand android, curently, sense of eclipse on my htc hd2 tmobile, and very strange to me is that i have so litle RAM, device is showing 412 mb totall, but my device has 576 Mb ram ?
Is there any solution to increse to actual size of RAM ?
sorry for wrong section
You should be actually posting this in Android QnAs, but thats not a big deal. The .50 radio that you flashed, only unlocks the 576 mb of RAM for WM. Mapping and editing of the kernel, zimage and maybe the startup.txt is required. Until now, the full 576 MB or RAM has not be available for use in Android. Only 448 MB or RAM is available currently, but that is if you add available RAM and system RAM. Your NAND build should be using the 448 MB or RAM. Currently, i presume either the devs are trying to get the full 576 MB of RAM, or its not possible. Firstly, getting the Android system to recognize the 576 MB or RAM would be easier if the device boots straight into Android. Secondly, this can most likely be available only on NAND. Thats all i can provide, as an answer to your question. You,me and probably most members out there know this is quite a big deal, to use the full 576MB or RAM,but the devs has not provided a definitive answer yet. Maybe we can wait it out and see...
Thanks , the answer you wrought was full !!!
Now waiting for solution, becose this android ROM that I am using, eats RAM like candy ;-)

Buy a new unit, suggest FYT type 3GB or more.

Short answer - you can't. Even if you successfully replace them, you'll brick the head unit. At best you'll be able to install 2GB RAM.
There are options to considerably speed up your head unit with software. Care to share a screenshot of your System Info?

You can replace the 1GB RAM with 2GB. Just make sure it's the same type

Not for your head unit unless you're willing to upgrade it to Android 8. You currently have Android 6.
If you install one of our SuperMOD packages, your head unit will become pretty awesome. It's not without risk, however.
But if you want to try it - here's the link:
