I'm not rooted and i want to continue using the stock messaging app but I would like to have a black background and holo blue text, to match the rest of my ui. Any way of doing this without rooting? Many thanks, Nath.

I downloaded a inverted MMS.apk, I haven't installed it because it asks if I want to apply it as an update to the stock app. I have no way to backup with root. Also I haven't rooted as I'm finding it very useful having a working banking app.

Coming from the Galaxy Nexus, I could change app icons on Nova launcher to custom icons I made myself which I placed in the Pictures folder.
Now however, I cant do the same. Nothing changes after selecting the icon I want. Downloaded icon themes work though...
Is this a bug in Nova itself?

I am using Nova Prime 2.1, was updated today and it works fine on i9500.

I'm using Nova prime as well. Are you able to change your icons to pictures in your gallery app?

Yes, click on icon, hold, EDIT and change icon. The little window just look different than before.

I click edit, select Gallery, choose the custom icon I want, crop, select done, and nothing changes.
A few others are having the same problem back on the Nova launcher Xda page too...

Tried restarting Nova?
Menu > Nova Settings > Advanced > Restart Nova Launcher
You are clicking the correct mark on the left top, to left of Edit Shortcut?

Since Nova updated to 2.1 I am encountering the same trouble!
I used to change stock icons with icons in my gallery but now it just can't seem to work.
I follow the same step as described above. I'm on a i9505 Galaxy S4 with Omega V3. I had the same issue on stock firmware.
Have you found any solution ?

Same problem here but I've installed the latest beta and the problem has been fixed with that update.
Install the latest beta (2.1.1) from here. This will fix the issue with custom icons not sticking

Thanks mate. This fixed the issue for me. I'm out of thanks-es for today though.
HI guys I have a simple question. I noticed that if you have a theme with moded icons for a certain app and if that app updates via playstore, that app's icon will revert to norrmal. And no matter how many times I flash the theme the icon wont revert to its modified icon. Any solution for this would love to be able to fix this

The stock 4.4 launcher is great but it lacks one feature that is it cannot create folders in drawer.
Is there any modifed stock 4.4 launchers out there which can create folders in app drawer?

KK launcher is a modified version of the official android 4.4 launcher but folder is the drawer are still not implemented, hopefully the devs will do it!

Nova isnt nearly as good looking as the stock launcher. It has many more customizations though.
KK Launcher seems better but is it a modified version of official launcher or is it completely coded by KK App team?

When I try to edit the positions of the app in the app drawer, touchwiz home would crash.
Does anyone have the same issue? If so did you manage to fix the problem and how?
