Hi guys, when i try to flash the Ubuntu Touch rom on SP Tool, the tool ask to me an ".auth" file :
"BROM ERRER : S_AUTH_HANDLE_IS_NOT_READY (5000)
This is a secure Base-band Chip! Please select the authentication file first."
I have searched in all the web, the .auth file for the 9565 but nothing....
I have only this 4 file .auth from other chip...can you try to compile it for the 6595? If we have it...we can flash Ubuntu touch on all the mx4 or UNBRICK the phones!!
This is the meizu ecosystem and you need to go to service center to request flash even it's just stock.

Service center aren't able to flash the Meizu devices. :good:

Hey @Naphtha has there been any development lately? I am stuck with two boards claiming the auth-file and would be happy to invest some computing power, if necessary, to break this encryption. I saw some postings of you in the meizu-forums on this topic but I'm not so sure what the result was in the end... Would be happy to work with you on this. But since this is quite an old topic, perhaps you have given up and abandoned the device anyway.

i´ve got a small question: Whats the actual version of the CWM for defy
Because a chinese developer team said it works on the XT615 (AKA Motoluxe) too.
On a picture there was displayed the version 5.5.0.4.
The problem is just the recovery is chinese.
So i took a look in the internet to find a english one but i haven´t found anything with this versionnumber.
When someone has this version running, could he upload the file? Thanks
Or just report me which one is running on your defy.. just some feedback

It's not difficult to translate that recovery to English or whatever language that you want. Can you acquire that recovery and send it to me via PM? I will love to help you

Are you interested at flash ubuntu touch on your MX4?
You need:
1 - an MX4 unlocked
2 - PC with Ubuntu
3 - Phablet-tools and adb-fastboot installed
4 - Contact me!!

Just have to flash recovery.img from ubuntu touch, install all tool in ubuntu and type a command like that ubuntu-device-flash touch --channel=ubuntu-touch/stable/ubuntu --bootstrap

any news i still didn't sell or repair my mx4 2 days ago i bought and used nexus 5 for 150€ and mhm i won't go back to china devices because of easy to unlock bootloader etc.
even ubuntu works on it okay @Naphtha again thanks for you support you gave me when i bricked my mx4 i hope you will have any success with ubuntu

Bro we have tried but no success. You can try to flash all partitions of ubuntu touch manually from fastboot. But high % of brick.

Q1 - it's possible to install UT, and use as a daily device with SPTool..?
Q2 - why make a tuto saying, " Another way for flash UT on meizu mx4" ,if you're telling me , that is a high level of Brick.

i know there are threads asking for unlocking bands but its been a while and now some people managed to unlock additional bands on oneplus 3, so there are guides for op1 and op3, and i think it could be possible for op2 too, but unfortunetely i don't have any knowledge to make it happen, so anybody could try one more time? and here is thread for oneplus 3

Basically you need the oneplus one guide with op3's rmt storage patch.
The mi note pro unlock thread is also a good reference because we both use sd810...

Have you actually unlocked more bands though? If so, which ones?
This was something I was going to start testing soon, but the OPO when I attempted this, it did not work and I did not get any new bands.
OP2 that's fine we can use the rmt storage patch, but the question is qcn wise, does it need to also be replaced due to encryption? If so, do we have a qcn template without IMEI that we can do this as they had on the OP3?
Or can we use QPST/QXDM or DFS to read/write values from NV Calculator?
I figured I'd ask here before attempting methods already tried.

u must flash stock img files using fastboot to get it work
try to fine one that fits yourself
