Slow Charging on Lollipop - Galaxy Grand Prime Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys
So yesterday I flashed the lollipop Russian firmware
And I've noticed that the phone is taking almost double the time to charge than it was on kitkat
I already tried a factory reset and wiping cache partition but it doesn't make a difference
Is anyone else facing this and please give me possible solutions?

My phone takes about 2h to full charge. I think it was the same when I had kitkat.
Do you use the charger that came with the phone?

Yes
I use the charger and USB cable that came in the box
and I've tried reflashing the firmware
I'm starting to suspect that my cable might be damaged or that the bug is just lollipop on my phone

[Q] Battery always charging / Always connected to the PC?

Hi.
After searching through the forum to find an answer to this issue, I didn't find anything. Therefore I'm creating this thread.
This issue started when I updated OTA to a CM11 nightly. Now whenever I plug my phone on the outlet to charge it or to the computer, it doesn't assume that I unplugged it when I'm done. In other words, it's always charging / always connected to the computer. I've tried to do a full wipe of the phone but it didn't solve the issue. This only happens in certain roms. I do not remember doing a factory reset and flashing the stock rom with ODIN.
However, when I unplug the phone and remove the battery, the issue is fixed. Whenever I plug it back, it starts again.7
I appreciate your help.
Thanks alot.

Never had this problem. The only options are to flash stock rom via Odin OR wait for CM11 stable update. Try giving a hard reset.

Hey my friend!
Well if you'd bought a huawei nothing of this would be happening lolol
Just kidding, well it may be related to the way how you switch off the usb connection, have you tried already to select in windows the safe switch off USB mode?
If it isn't that problem, after a nanbackup try to wipe cache and dalvick cache, and if the problem continues a full wipe may be needed, formatting system, data and cache... And freshly installing the new update from CM11...
If still continues... Well you can always trade your device with your neighbor LMAO
Anyway I would wait for a new update or a stable release...
Good luck.

Try to clean up your charging point by brush or any suitable thing. some shorting might be there by dust or any other thing.
I had the same problem and resolved.
I did everything you suggested a couple of days ago. It didn't work.
Nebur, m8, could it be related to the modem baseband? Because it also happens when I connect it to the charger. After I unplug it, the phone says it is still charging...
The plot thickens.

Hmm... Baseband / Ril mismatch perhaps!?
But doubt it... I think that the problem is more related with usb permissions (kernel config) than with any other thing... But that's MHO...

SM-N910F Won't fast charge

Last few days my Note 4 wont chager in fast mode and in normal mode takes hours to charge, i allready perform a factory reset, bur the problem continues... someone knows whats wrong?
Download your firmware specific to your phone and flash it. Am certain that will work. I got a bug which couldn't go away with a factory reset so I had to download my phone's firmware a day or 2 ago and flashing has resolved it but it's still Lollipop 5.0.1 and I get the feeling this is not the end. I noticed that Lollipop 5.0.1 has some underlying bugs which I can't live with that haven't been ironed out and am currently making a run for Kitkat until all these issues are settled, or I just migrate to M.
First thing to try is another USB cable, then another charger - then another battery.

S4 I9500 many issues at a time.

I have S4 i9500, right now on Halycon ROM v9.0(Rooted my phone on 4.4.2)
My brother too have same Model Phone.
I rooted his phone from 4.2.2, applied Halycon ROM,then Ozcan ROM(4.4.2). Right now again on Halycon ROM.
His phone is facing many issues likes Wifi is not turning ON,Bluetooth not turning ON.
Biggest issues are, phone gets too much heated and phone doesn't starts from shutdown until you power phone with charging.
Switch off and charging doesn't takes places, result into start of phone.
If phone is 100% charged and switched off, in morning phone doesn't starts, need charger and battery is shown 0%.
Everytime i flashed the new ROM i did
Full Wipe
Clean Dalvik cahe
Wipe Cache
I have never faced such issue from the day i have rooted my phone.
Help !!!!!

Marshmallow 6.0.1 OTA Update - Boot Loop

Hello,
I received an OTA update with Android 6.0.1 and after that my S5 entered into a Boot Logo Loop unless I connect it with the USB Charger. If the phone is connected to the USS charger it reamains powered and if I disconnect it get the reboot loop (Logo Boot Loop).
I have tried:
Factory Reset
Wipe Cache
Installed with Odin the Firmware (Several Regions) also an Android 5.0 Firmware
I really don't know what to do now? Hoy do I choose another firmware from Sanmobile.com? Mine is the G900H
I hope you guys can help me to get my phone back.
Thanks in advance.
Problem SOLVED!!! Got a new battery and my phone is working again.
Could Samsung thru its OTA updated damage the battery to make you get the new galaxy?
My battery was fine until I got the OTA update!!

hmm ive been having random issues myself, where did you purchase your battery?
could high cpu usage & therefore temperature or voltage during the installation process cause something to burn out in the battery? how old was it?

I had mine rooted with 6.0.1 G900TUVU1GPE1_G900TTMB1GPE1_TMB using TWRP and SuperSU, 2 weeks after I started having these reboot issues, it stops when the phone gets plugged in. The only other solution if the battery doesn't fix it ( I found a Samsung Original for 9 bux on amazon), would be replacing the mother-"Logic" board (not very logical if it can't tell you why the unit restarted).
It's possible too

N910F bricked after the last update ! Help

I updated OTA my Note 4 n910f to the latest built. It was something about Samsung Cloud. Since then i haven't been able to use my phone for even a minute. It keeps rebooting every 1 minute. When plugged in it reboots but for like every 3 minutes. And it doesn't charge, my battery was 66% when i plugged it on AC, and it keeps going down like 64% plugged it. I don't know if any of you had this issue before or are having now but i cant use my phone for 2 days now. I tried to clear cache data via recovery, also wiped storage, factory reset, wiped everything but no luck. Where is my problem, is my battery dead or software issue. I didn't have this before the last update. Help !

Try flashing lollipop .
If the problem still persists after lollipop, then go to a service centre .
If they repair it ,well-n-good but if they don't then try rooting your device and then change the kernel.
