after update to 1.4 my SHIELD Android TV pro stops at a Fastboot Menu

Hi i have SHIELD Android TV pro After update 1.4, I get the NVIDIA boot logo and then booting stops at a Fastboot Menu .......
i try to fastboot oem unlock but it give me
C:\adb>fastboot oem unlock
...
FAILED (remote: Read less bytes than expected)
finished. total time: 57.252s
i am trying to downgrade to 1.3
how ti fix it ?
I would contact nvidia directly. They know that the 1.4 update was bricking systems and have pulled it. They recommend unlocking and re-installing 1.3, but if that's not working, then I'd contact them directly unfortunately. To be sure that it's a real problem, try using another cable, and if possible the factory one, and be sure that the drivers are properly installed. If that fails, it may be RMA time.

Thank you for your replay yes I did contact them and waiting to hear from them
Its my understanding that it is not the update that is causing this. Its a hardware issue. The 1.4 update only brought the issue to light. I own a pro version and saw this this morning

551ML stuck on fastboot after stupid action, 'fastboot wipe cache' doesn't work.....

Noob so sorry for the stupid mistake.
Have a 551ML, on bliss w/ TWRP and was supposedly rooted already(can't remember which method I used, but the start screen was white background/black words). Have been using the phone for a year without issue.
One day some kind of stupid just came over me, and I followed this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/general/unlock-zenfone2-android-6-0-beta-unlock-t3411264
without even sure what was I suppose to be doing...(not blaming OP, I am the dumba** here)
everything went through just like suggested, but now the phone start screen shows un-rooted(black background, white words), and the phone is stuck on fastboot... Can't get into recovery or normal boot.
Can anyone advise what am I suppose to do now? I am thinking I need to unbrick the device using this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/general/guide-brick-soft-hard-bricked-zenfone-2-t3284256
But I am stuck at:
1.2 Connect with computer IntelSoc Zenfone 2:
Can't seems to get the computer to register my 551ML as a 'MOOREFIELD device'?
Can anybody gives me some pointers or maybe there are some easier way for my situation?
p.s. here are the fastboot info, in case it might help:
HW_VERSION - UNKNOWN
IFWI VERSION - 0094.0183
SERIAL NUMBER - 0123456789ABCDEF
SIGNING - ?
SECURE_BOOT - ?
continue the fastboot process
Thx in advance!

flash boot image
then flash recovery image
then any rom you want
Thank you for replying so quickly!!
Can you be more specific on how to 'flash boot image'? I have tried to put the asus OTA image on the SD card, but it didn't triggered....
small update:
I have extracted boot image(boot.img) from ASUS Z00A firmware, and download the correct twrp recovery(twrp.img), and tried the following commands:
fastboot -w
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
fastboot erase cache
and the result is still the same. Only able to reboot to bootloader no matter what, with the 'continue the fastboot process'.
Can anybody share some thought? really miss using my Z00A......:crying:

Here is your rescue: http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/general/wwze551ml2-20-40-19420160713-raw-t3437416
Thank you so much!! The ASUS Flash tool works, and I have my Z00DA back to life!
For people with similar issue and want to use the tool, please noted that it takes a while(~15 min for the flash) + the tools does not shows any progress %, and afterward it will takes another 10 mins for the phone to start, so be very patient.....

Data Recovery from bootloop'ed Nexus 6P

Hi All,
My Nexus 6P started bootlooping, i.e can't get passed the "Google" screen. Unfortunately, I do not have a backup of my pictures. I would like to get them off the phone.
I tried to recover it by wiping the cache and sideloading the official rescue ota image (angler-ota-n2g48c). That did not solve the problem. When running
Code:
fastboot flashing unlock
, I get
Code:
...
FAILED (remote: oem unlock is not allowed)
finished. total time: 0.021s
So the bootloader appears to be locked. Unlocking it would erase the device as far as I can tell. Is there any way to get the pictures off the device?
Thanks a lot in advance!
You are correct, unlocking will erase your phone with all the data. When you connect your phone to the computer and if it doesn't automatically recognize the device then you don't have MTP is selected and you haven't enabled USB debugging which will allow the device to connect to a computer.
Did you use Google Photos? then your photos should automatically be backed.

Like Draxz said, if you were using Google Photos they should all be in your cloud. Any luck there?
Tried adb pulling the photos directory? (DCIM I believe)
Solution for data recovery off bootlooping Nexus 6P
Hi there, I have just been in a similar situation where my Nexus 6P randomly went into bootloop and I didn't have all my data backed up. After countless hours of research and talking to data recovery companies I found Digital Recovery in Hamilton New Zealand and the guy there, James, managed to get my data off AND fix my phone! Give these guys a call 0800 77 77 22. Everyone else told me it was impossible but James worked hard and researched until he found a solution. So don't give up hope and don't factory reset or wipe your device, there is hope to get your data back and get your phone working again.

Is my Shield Bricked?

So like a lot of people I took the Oreo update and at first I didn't have any internet connection. So I left it here and it looks like someone in the house attempted to go into my recovery and try to revert back but it didn't do anything and then we ended up erasing what was there because it would not boot back in to the shield. Then we tried using a ROM but anytime you install a ROM and it goes to the main part of the shield where it ask you to sign up with your Google account it force closes and Google Play and other Google things in the Play Store they can't open they don't work. So then we try to use fastboot mode but when you type in fastboot it shows that the device is there but if you try to flash any part or Flash anything it says the device is not emulated? What do I do some one tell me I'm lost.
You can try wiping the data with the "fastboot -w" command. Also, which model of Shield TV do you have?
