I recently bought the black 3G+WiFi 32GB version. Is this a general discussion article? It seems like you have issues with the device. As far as I know, I bought mine for Rs. 46,000 (Approximately US $700) at a store in Powai. I haven't had time to test the device and it's full potential yet. It's a treat and I'm enjoying it.

What is the firmware it came with ?? And my s note lags like crazy . ? Other minor lags here and there . ? My firmware when I bought it is Mj9

Hello everybody...
I proudly own Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition. SM-P601 32gb version, Black color model. I purchased it at Rs 44000/- after hell of lot of bargain & research across web world with retail market of my city since its launch. This is high quality class product with awestruck features. Did not modified any content, kept it with stock android 4.3 version, no update received since date of purchase i.e 21-Feb.
Till now didn't found any lag, other than "Unfortunately, IndexService has stopped." problem [ check out link for more details- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=50609947&postcount=8].
Other than index service problem, my P601 runs buttery smooth [check out my video posted link for more details- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=50614061&postcount=54].
Also with freebies which are worth owning, one have to do lot of arduous length of process to avail those offers.

Hm.. decent set of freebees.. is there any Playstore credits / Samsung App store credits offering in INDIA? - in US they are offering $25 Playstore and $50 Samsung Appstore...
I own the LTE version, SM-P605 32GB, bwt, I couldn't enable those even though I purchased it from US -(one of my friend was travelling back from US, so I ordered it from ebay and delivered to his addresss.) for $700 (RS. 45,000 through Paypal conversion). The model I had purchased from ebay came from Taiwan, so the US site was not accepting serial number for galaxy perks

Can you available warranty in India with the lte version??

Unfortunately NO Google Play store credits / Samsung App store credits offering in INDIA, they just gave few games which are avaliable by paying at those stores. But other offer do substitute for them.
As per my information, LTE version of Note 10.1 2014 edition is launched in South East Asia, those countries which have currently operational LTE network, like Singapore, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, Thailand, Indonesia etc. So may be that's why US website don't accept Taiwan outlet serial number. Try registering on Samsung Taiwan www.samsung.com/tw/ then may be you can avail country specific offers.
Launching of device depends on Samsung, so we can't expect the reason of unavailability of LTE P605 version model in all countries, but soon LTE model is about to launch in US.

I don't think so, as India officially sells P601, so must be offering warranty on same. Because Indian Samsung service center has spare parts related to P601 model.

I got the p600 model from the US and have a cracked screen now. Samsung India refuses to help me out, even though the P600 and P601 models share the same internal structure, with the only difference being the 3G model.

Sorry bro, can't help here. Only Samsung India has authority to provide warranty & service to India specific model. If possible contact Samsung US & courier your broken device to get it repaired.

Any 1 knows when Black Samsung book case will be available in stores. Its funny Samsung has taken so long to release a case.

Genuine Samsung cover are yet to come, but you can buy other brand's cover & case on ebay.
I am also looking for same, let me know if you find something in Mumbai.

Guys. Try the moko ultra slim case. . Pretty decent with the smart wake functionality too and real cheap if you can get it from us somehow. . Samsung bookcase Is stupid expensive. Not worth It. Also try poetic slim line

I have bought the 360 deg rotating cover from ebay. That case has horrible alignment as the magnets keep waking up the tablet with slightest of movement.
The Samsung store at Phoenix mills told me they would have stock of black one in 3 to 4 days. But he told me the same thing 2 weeks back.They had the white case in stock last week.
Couple of Samsung stores had/have couple of white cases in stock. Maybe I am the only one who has bought the black one
In case I don't get them by Sunday I may buy http://www.zenuscase.net/ They have some gorgeous cases but on the expensive side.

Thanks for info on that on ebay, I had plans to buy it, but now will wait for original samsung cover.

Just Sharing my thoughts..........
It will be a shame if this phone ships with Sense 5.5, as this will be officially launched very closely with HTC One 2/ M8 which has sense 6.0 with on-screen buttons...
Anyways, Desire 816 is positioned as a mid-tier flagship and has a good prognosis.
At the price point of INR 20-25k for Desire 816, Nexus 5 will be a very tempting option. However, if the devs @ the XDA can pull of rooting this device and dev few Custom Roms, we dont have anything to worry.
Looking forward for the launch in India...

S400 means USB otg support. I hope this has it natively.

The Desire 816 launched in China is without headphones. I just want to know about Indian product.
Do the package contains headphones or we have to purchase them separately? Also I can't find any online store selling it yet!

well...no online stores are selling it because it is not available to purchase yet. HTC India messaged me saying that it will be available in 2nd week of may (although a lot of other news/tech sites are claiming 1st week of may).

and what about the headset? As I heard even Moto G and X also don't come with company headphones!

You should like the bigger screen with amazing sense ui and camera and last but not the least the design is just like htc flagship one except it's not metal but high quality polycarbonate
It's always better than plastic samsung or cheap Micromax lava Karon etc
Also to mention htc has made pricing very attractive and at this price this should kill samsung as well

Expected to be available in the second week of April.

Priced at 700 euros. That is less than 49k. I highly doubt it'll cost under 50k in India. We always get shafted.

Will they release a dual sim version in India ?
S5 has dual sim but only for china and UAE..

Samsung is launching S6 on 23rd march as per bgr.in :good:

samsung india will reveal pricing of s6 and s6 edge by 23rd in delhi and will be available for sale on april 10th onwards....................samsung india has already recieved around 10000 retail units of s6 ,5000 units of s6 edge and some dual sim s6 units from vietnam manufacturing plant,seems they might also launch s6 dualsim variant in india..............................................

Compared to many other places (ahem, ahem - looking at you EU and UK) they are good prices. However - any idea whether Sammy is doing an S5 with S6 as well? They initially sold S5 in India with watered down hardware. I looked at many sites but couldn't find any news item which said that they are doing the same with S6. To me it looks like they are selling the same international version of S6 in India as well.
Does anyone know better?

What was watered down?
The S801 Lte came later.. but that was expected.. Not sure what else was different

This time around they are using only exenos 7 on all phones not snapdragon. So same verient in all places.

Flipkart lists it as LTE compatible.
4G (LTE) - (Cat 6) 300 Mbps HSDPA

FYI , croma in indirapuram Ghaziabad has both s6 and s6 edge on display and are taking pre-orders. Just played around for 2 mins and the device is awesome..........and the screen is so good...........it's hard to believe.

The prebooking offer is pretty decent. 10000 payback points is effectively 2500 cash back.
And if there are any other offers in the next 6 months, you get that same amount in payback points as well. (expect the cash back offers to start on Oct 11th )

So if you really want one.. you might want to consider prebooking

More like 25k... but it has been 11 months..
The Note 4 has held its price pretty well. It has gone down below 50k recently.. but it has been 5-6 months.
If someone wants to wait then sure, the price will go down a lot... but if you want to buy it in a month or two.. might as well prebook.
I don't think the S6 will go down to 40k anytime soon.. not till the Note 5 hits the market anyway.

S6's price will not not drop by 25K. We all know that Exynos version of S5 which we got here, was largely seen by Indian consumers as Samsung dumping a inferior SOC on them, which resulted in very very bad publicity of S5 and the resultant price drop.
S6 will hold it's ground till the next iphone is released in November.........In any eventuality, I think S6 would be between 43-46 k even then.
As for Note-4, Samsung would be wise to drop its price so as it still remains a viable alternative to S6.

Where to buy in New York?

Hi, as an unhappy owner if the Nexus 5X, I am looking to buy a 6P. As an EU resident however, I won't put up with the ridiculous price over here. Luckily for me, I am going to NY next week, and if I manage to find one for the right price, I will definitely get one.
I want to ask some local people for some tips and places where to look for one. It also doesn't have to be new..even refurbished or second hand in great condition would do.

Check bestbuy, create an account if it is in stock and you can just pick it up with your photo ID and CC if you're afraid it'll be out of stock by the time you get there.

OP: I assume you know that the US version (1511) only supports certain bands of the international version (1512) that may limit the usage in EU and elsewhere. A reminder post, if nowt else.

I'm in NY and for the last 3 weeks they were on sale. Best buy had the 32 gb version for 450 and 64 gb got 500
A store known to most in the NY and NJ area called b & H photo had them even cheaper.... 32 gb for 425 and 64 gb for 475, no tax and included a $50 gift card to use at the b&h store now. Unfortunately, those sales ended a couple of days ago on March 27th. I was lucky enough to get the 64 gb for 475

got one on order myself through the B&H website unfortunately when I placed mine they had just ran out of stock and the availability date keeps getting pushed back. Went from 3/29 to 4/8 now. Disappointed as I've had good luck with them in the past

B&H is awesome. They recently had a sale where all 6P's were 50 cheaper plus a 50$ gift card... So everyone bought from them, that's why they are now ridiculously backordered.

yes probably going to somehow find some patience if I still want that discount :laugh: I'm sure it doesn't help that I got the 64 GB graphite which I see as potentially quite popular.
Looking forward to the upgrade from the original Nexus 5 to the 6p though. hopefully they won't make me wait too long

I understand that but that is still a bit ripe, offering the least amount of ram/rom when they could give the best to and people would probably buy it. After doing the conversion it is only $610USD, for that $100 more I'd certainly double the rom space and add 2 gb to the RAM not to mention the 3d touch or "force feedback" on the 6gb model...

When I posted the deal it was 509$+9$ shipping. Now they changed it to 529$ with free shipping.
For me it's only 5% tax so 25.90$ tax

The problem I have with this is, is it appears to be the US version sold by newegg. So basically no warranty in Canada. ZTE Canada website doesn't have a mention of the Axon 7 anywhere.
