One Day Battery Test Results / 4 Hours SOT - Redmi Note 2 General

Some people are interested in battery life.**I am running the unofficial multilanguage beta v5.9.9.**This is not the latest, but 5.9.11 have some issues, so I am happy to stay on v5.9.9 for a while as it is working fine 99% of the time for me.
Here is what happened over the past few days:
I barely used the phone for the first day, so it had a long standby time, over 24 hours.
Then the next day I started using the phone more so I could drain the battery.**I achieved screen on time of about 4 hours.
I am happy with this result.**

Sorry for a late reply but how do you get over 6 hours SoT?
I'm thinking about buying this phone and 4 hours of SoT isn't much
Which version do you use?

Maybe with this method? http://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-2/general/howto-limit-cpu-frequency-to-save-t3233745

You are getting good result. I am barely getting 3 hour SOT using AOSP ROM.

try them, see which on you prefer. There are more roms out there, just that those 3 look best for me in terms of SOT

12h with 4h screen on? That doesn't sound so great to me... Right now I'm running 2.3.5 (previously kh3 with nimpho 2.1.3) and cpu at 800 max and I used to get about 2 - 2,5 days on a charge...
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
I also get more than 2 days with one charge.
But I don't get more than 4 hours of screen usage @ custom roms.

That's not my experience I get a day plus on custom rom + kernel as opposed to 14 hours ish on stock. I don't think it's possible to get much more than 4 - 4.5 hours of screen on time regardless of which rom you use.

Tytungs NexusHD ICS Power Consumption Issues

On a full charge with no wifi, no sync, lowest brightness, no gps etc I'm getting roughly 1 to 2 hours of talk time and maybe a total of 4 to 5 hours battery life with the screen off. I pretty much have to travel everywhere with a charger and its starting to drive me nuts.
Is it worth it to switch to another distro ? Anyone else having this issue ?
Are you on the latest version? I'm using version 2.3 and it lasts more than 24 hours on a single charge.
I guess you have to replace your battery, mate
wow ... 24 hours :-.
Can you post your statistics ?

What kind of drain are you getting in terms of mA? Download current widget and check this. It should be 4 or 5 mA in standby.
Sent from my NexusHD2 using XDA
Do u use any app2sd script? in 2.0 some people got an extremly high battery drain, because of app2sd (~50-70mA on Standby). Maybe try to reflash u're rom without any app2sd and check the drain again.
Sorry for the late reply, guys. I've been busy lately. Well, here is a screenshot of my HD2 after a day of moderate use running TyTung's NexusHD2 ICS v2.3

BTW Facebook app will kill a battery.

Downgrade to kitkat. I get 1-2days and like 5 hours SOT
I did experience that as well. I believe it's exynos processor. Snapdragon is a way better than samsung chip - it just works. I'm really sad that I bought n910c. N910F was cheaper and it's better (and it works faster when you encrypt the phone) !
Nothing to do with the processor or Lollipop. I have a N910C on 5.1.1 and get approx 6 hours screen on time daily. There must a rogue app or process draining your power. Also your phone appears to be awake quite a lot when the screen is not on.

oh c'mon - n910f has a way better sot. Anyway - I did remove SD card (encrypted) at it seems that sot is better and performance increased. Need to investigate this.
----
update - there is no improvement in performance. 1 hr sot = 25% battery (and screen is not bright!). for me exynos is crap. I'm switching over to n910f

Good mate but you charged it a bit
Not bad at all for this battery/hardware combo.
Stock ROM rooted with Magisk and Force Doze
At 55% battery I'm looking at 4 hours 11 minutes screen on time. Usage split between YouTube and chrome.
I got down to 12% battery, had 6:50 SOT. Youtube, loudspeaker music/podcast, lots of Chrome, some social media. Really happy so far.
Straight usage. 100 -> 49
4:43 of SoT
YouTube and Chrome.
I have force doze so I think during standby it'll flatline. Just can't stop using my phone though.
Screenshots speaks for it self

Here's mine from yesterday. Almost 6hrs S.O.T with 50% battery remaining.
First full day with device.
Includes 1.5 hours of GPS and Bluetooth streaming
Very happy with results.

I'm very happy with my results after first full charge and purposely pushing it to test the battery.
High accuracy and all battery consuming features on.:good::good:
First days of normal usage since I received my U11 one week ago. Got to say I'm honestly impressed and like what I got.

Hi,
What is your typical SOT at the end of the day?
Am hardly getting SOT of 1.5 to 2 hours!
Sent from my Lenovo P2a42 using Tapatalk
Didn't check the on screen time and can't now because I just flashed the phone.
But I can't get through not even half of the day without a powerbank, even if I only message on facebook, this is ridiculous.
Will try to calibrate the battery now, maybe that'll help.

Managed to get this much, if it's correct, cause I've noticed the value jump around.
But if it is correct, I got so much because I used my phone extremely lightly that day.
