Is this little edge/lip at the top back of the device normal? - X Style (Pure) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Just got my Moto X Pure today and noticed there is a little edge/lip where the wood back cover meets the top metal part, they are not the same elevation, hard to capture in pictures because it's dark but it's definitely there and I am usually not very picky about my devices. Is this normal or should the back cover be the same elevation as the metal rim, it is everywhere else but the top middle.

Ouch! How hard of a drop was it?
Actually I work for a lab.
The guy that brought it said that he slammed the car door on the phone.
Surprisingly only the screen was cracked. The LCD was in perfect condition.
Obviously this was fixed in an hour.
I just posted it because it looks scary

Black across screen

So I woke up this morning and went to use my Nexus 7 and saw a black line across the top of the screen. It is 1px in width and stretches horizontally across the whole screen. I tries to reboot and nothing changed, any idea on how to fix this?
Here is a picture for reference.

Same thing happened to me this morning. I think it's hardware. Too bad I just out a $20 Glas screen protector on it as seen here.
Exact same issue, almost on the same place. It seems hardware though

camera scratches + collects dust easily?

Your camera still has the original plastic on it.
It's stuck on hard, but persistence will get it off. I used a wooden toothpick to get it off, left no scratches.

Screen problem after changing battery on X722

I changed the battery and after I turned it on the screen has weird bright spots on the lower right side, not sure what caused this. I cleaned old glue on the edges with alcohol and heard a click on that exact corner of the screen as well.
But on the left side that dark spot had slightly disappeared after I had screen on max brightness for a while.
