I don't think it's possible. With a long touch you go directly to GPS settings where you can change it... but i's not really convenient.
I think this is the kind of tweak which needs an Xposed module to be modified.

Try this, not guarenteeing it shall work however,
Turn off airplane mode, THEN turn off wifi, Shut the phone off. Then turn it on again. It might refresh the settings
work but if i enable airplane mode, and i use wifi, then again when i disable airplane mode wifi go on automatically again

Ok, so to clarify,
START
WIFI: OFF
AIRPLANE MODE: OFF
you turn on airplane mode. Then turn on WiFi
You use your wifi and then shut it off. Correct?
THen you turn off airplane mode and your wifi comes on automatically right?
exactly right! wifi come on automatically in the last step

I think when you turn off airplane mode it basically restores the settings you had before you turned it off. Try doing exactly the same steps with bluetooth and see if it happens, if what I'm guessing is correct then you can do the same thing and when you turn airplane mode off bluetooth will turn back on.

yeah that's what I was trying to figure out, I know if WiFi is on and I enable airplane mode, it saves that so when I turn airplane mode disabled, it restores the WiFi. So shut WiFi off before enabling airplane mode

Kl thanks for confirming that. @OP as long as you aren't using a Froyo build or an AOSP GB build, you will have the option to have the quick controls in the notification bar. Make use of it, it saves so much time. Drag down, tap the wifi icon THEN the airplane mode icon and you're all set. Even if you forget to turn wifi off before turning on airplane mode, using this you can always turn wifi off very easily afterwards anyway
so i can't enable wifi during airplane mode is on? it's a android bug i thing!

No, you CAN enable wifi when airplane mode is on, but before you turn airplane mode on turn wifi off. Anyway, I don't see how difficult it is to turn wifi off afterwards? Literally drag down the status bar and tap the wifi icon and you're done.
but i do this exactly and wifi return on when i disable airplane mode

(Q) wifi & airplane mode

wifi nexus 7. turn on airplane mode. manually turn wifi back on. what stays off, anything? GPS? Does airplane mode have any use or advantage on a wifi only device. Any battery use changes or background processes that stop? Thanks for any responses

Probably no bluetooth, either. I know it turned it off on my old work blackberry because it was on the same screen and you could see it turn off.
It should turn off EVERYTHING wireless. That includes, to my knowledge, WiFi, GPS, NFC, and Bluetooth.
It should help with battery life - although probably very slightly. GPS/NFC/Bluetooth truthfully have very little effect on battery life as is, and WiFi isn't that big of a hog. But it certainly could help to eek out an extra few percentage points if you *really* needed it.

Permanently disable Wi-Fi power saving mode

Any script i can run or modification to permanently disable Wifi power saving mode at present?
Wifi works fine at home, but at work with about a million other access points around it doesnt seem to maintain a stable connection unless I disable power saving. I would rather set it permanantly if anyone knows a way.
Thanks
Matt
Just to follow up on my own thread, i dont believe there is a way however disabling Wi-Fi PSM most definitely reduces battery life.

Poor standby time.

Hey guys, I am having some problems with my battery on cm13, it's good when I am using the phone but standby time is just horrible, in 15mins i lose about 3-4%. Does anyone else have this problem, and do you know how to fix it?
First try and update to the newest cm13 nightly
Also look at battery in setting menu and see what uses your battery the most
Also turning off features such as wifi Bluetooth nfc and data connection and turn off wifi and Bluetooth scanning and location except when you need them
If you have a weak 4g cellular signal you may
Need to switch to 3g in network settings some custom kernels have atrocious battery life also sorry to throw a book at you but the all that apply to you
Turn off sync also helps a lot
Turn on efficiency or power saving in battery settings also helps
Then turn on simulate color space monochrome in developer options
Turn off ok Google also
Also turn off usb debugging when your not using it

Location battery drain

Hello,
I have a huge battery drain on my phone because of bad working of location services. I have it "on" with "battery saving but this keep awake the system when the screen is off. If I turn off the location the battery doesn't drain anymore. Why "battery saving" doesn't work properly?
Wouldn't say I've a huge drain on my battery with Location services ('Access to my location' enabled) on battery saving mode, but I have these 2 set to disabled in Settings:
Location services > Menu (≡ at the bottom) > Scan settings > 1. Wi-Fi scanning (disabled), 2. Bluetooth scanning (disabled) - are these enabled/disabled for you?
--------------------------
Also, I often use 'Ultra' battery setting if phone is not in use for more than 10-15 minutes. This saves a lot of battery throughout the day, plus one can still receive & send texts/messages with this enabled.
For quick & easy access to 'Ultra' battery setting, you'll want to edit the drop-down Shortcuts menu to place the 'Ultra battery' shortcut in a better position (please see pic enclosed to view where I've placed it in my drop-down Shortcuts menu).
Exiting this 'Ultra' battery mode is also easily done from the main screen, & it takes only a few seconds to return the phone to full functionality.
To emphasise how good this is, my P8 loses only 1-2% charge overnight with this setting enabled.
