Tempered glass screen protector? - Xiaomi Redmi 2 Questions & Answers

Hi I am in India and am looking to buy a good quality tempered glass protector to use with my redmi 2. I am from India and haven't got any with good reviews on Flipkart and amazon. Can anyone suggest one (preferably you have used it yourself or a friend of yours has). The only prerequisite being that the protector is of correct size and has proper cutouts for the front camera and proximity sensor.

Try Nillkin.

I'm using Nillkin, it doesn't have a front camera cutout but it does for the proximity sensor. I could post pictures as it's on my phone.

Just came here to say that Camera cutouts it's not really a good thing, since (on my experience at least) it gathered dust or something with time.

I tried some cheap generic ones (2 for 6$), and the quality wasn't good. Although they looked great in the beginning, they started getting air trapped inside after a week or so... Definitely go for Nillkin

I cracked my screen protector :crying:
It was my first time applying any screen protector and when I placed it on, it was really off so I took it off and re-applied it which resulted the adhesive not applying properly to the top where the speaker is. After that you just need to get used to it...
It also comes with a camera lens protector x2! But as you can see it's terrible. (plastic?)

My leo screen with whoter

I bought invisible shield for my telephonephone. I used sprey 2 times, after I installed perfect. When I was turn on phone there was whoter in screen. It works very nice, there is no problem but there is whoter in screen. What can I do?
Super, nobody knows something
Hi,
Only leaving it 2 hours before bumping isn't going to encourage people to help!
Is it water underneath the screen, or water between your protector and your screen?
Is the water black or colourless?

Thank you. There is someone, who hears me I think underneath the screen, on the film. because fingertip screen works perfect. Everything works perfect but there is black water colour.
What do you think? What can it be?
If it is black, then it could be the screen had broken, or take a look here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=635447
It is black but mine isn't look like it. When backlight is white, you can understand. In there you can understand device is closed
Had this on my HD when I did it. The spray has seeped trough the screen suround and caught under the glass. I popped the battery out and put it on the radiator overnight (wrapped in a T towel) and it went away. Not sure if that trick will work on the HD2 as the screen is glass on the HD2, and plastic on the HD. Worth a try though.
However, wont use the protectors any more
please post picture. maybe it will help people who got same problem like u before notice it and help u out. last time,my hd spoil because of invisible shield. i spray too much.then water entering my device, and i cant on.wait after 3month also no used.then i buy hd2

Per schematics I looked at a while ago, and pictures I've seen, I think that the digitizer and the glass are bonded together. He probably just replaced the glass and digitizer at the same time.

That is not cheap solution digitizer cost money! Why replace it if it works?
This just has to be bullcrap!?
........ How?

Dust between screen and sides

Any ideas on how to protect the space between the screen and front edge of this awesome phone?
The gel case from sprint doesn't cover this gap, and there doesn't seem to be many cases out yet to fit the NS4g.
Is this even something to be concerned with?

ive never had an issues with sides usually can just blow and what ever if anything gets in between usually comes out.
And the screen is fused to the touch glass with adhesive no dust is getting between screen so no worries

The dust gets in the exact same place you referenced with me too, and I always get panicky, but I find that if I try to remove it myself, it just ends up worse somehow. They just seem to dissapear after some time in my pocket though. I'll check a few hours later, and bam, the dust isn't there anymore.

Can you notice screen lift with case?

I recently picked up two new N7's and unfortunately they both have minor screen lift. The cases we ordered are similar to the one pictured below... Can anyone tell me if its even visible/noticeable in a case like that? I mean, i cant imagine it being noticeable with the bezel being covered by the case.
Thanks

I have the exact case (except its blue) and the screen lift is not noticeable. In fact, i had ordered the slim ebay case and i switched back to the supcase because it seemed that the screen lift was worse in the ebay case. I feel that the way the supcase holds the N7 in does help

Great news! Thanks for the quick reply.
No. Anything that covers the bezel will hide it. The Slim cases typically don't cover the whole bezel except the corners. Most TPU cases will though.

I sense some sarcasm, but may as well be for me. I plan on using mine in the case full time so out of sight out of mind
And hey, a case was a valid fix for the iphone4! :victory:

Need Help: Replacement Camera Lens for Galaxy S5

Hi, I recently shattered the original lens on my S5 and bought a replacement on eBay, but it turned out to just be a cheap piece of plastic, not glass, so it doesn't allow the camera to focus. Does anyone have any experience with replacing theirs with something of comparable quality to the original? Does it focus as well? If so, can you provide a link to the item so I can buy it?
Thanks for your help!

Problems with focusing may be caused with phisical damage after shattering glass or during replecament procedure there was mistake made and damage occured.
Are you 100% sure there is no broken glass left? Even small particle may disturb camera focusing or small fingerprint on lens.
Thanks for your reply. I'm fairly certain there was no damage to the lens and that I was careful in not damaging it and removing all the broken pieces before replacement. Since the camera otherwise works, I'm guessing there was some optical quality in the original glass that doesn't exist with cheap plastic.

Definitely, original part's quality is different than oem-compliant parts. Even the price can tell the difference. I found this supplier, they have the original S5 camera lens, http://www.etradesupply.com/catalogsearch/result/?warehouse=0&q=galaxy+s5+camera+lens hope it helps
Thanks for your response. Turns out there was a tiny piece of glass tapped inside that was causing the focus issues. I took the new one off, cleaned everything with a q tip, put another piece on, and it's good as new. False alarm, I guess.
