soak test - X 2014 General

I'm experiencing "Android is starting..." & "Optimizing app" @ 2014 Moto X 2nd Gen - Android Enthusiasts Stack Exchange issue, and I hope that, this soak test will address that)

so just a stagefright patch then? that would explain why the numbers are the same on moto e

But that doesn't explain what has taken Moto so damn long (tell me again why I still don't own a nexus - oh that's right, i'm a sucker).

If I'd known my 2013 N7 was going to take a dump a month and a half after I bought my Moto X Pure I probably actually would have ended up with the N6 instead

Looks like Android 5.1.1 update having more themes and bug fixes according to this link: http://www.latinospost.com/articles...id-5-1-lollipop-coming-moto-g-x-e-release.htm

Did you win those British Knights on Legends of the Hidden Temple or Figure it Out?

I know of one way to run the Droid X rom, it comes with a slightly skinner, yet taller phone though...

yea, you also have to remove your front facing camera I believe
You have to stick this huge, ass-ugly Verizon logo above your hard-keys, too.

Its the incredible. If they meant 2 they would have wrote 2. plus, 2 already received it.
“@droid_life: Anonymous tip says that Incredible 2.3 update will roll out today."
“@droid_life: Oh and btw, the Incredible update page has been reverted back to a previous update. I'd say no go for Sept 1. http://t.co/PkESzWE”

The rooted version will probably be out before they start pushing the OTA out anyway.
The rooted version has been out since the very first leaks in the middle of last month. There's a thread in the dev area with 600ish replies.

Another 4.3 update!

I have had this tablet for a week now and this is the 2nd update it has had.
For all you wondering if you should get a nexus device do it. even if you dont root and put Cyanogen mod or some other rom you will still be updated regularly!

This was a required update that fixes the GPS issues and erratic touch inputs experienced by many of us. It fixed mine and I am thankful that Google was on top of this and fixed it quickly! We wouldn't have seen this update so quickly after the first one, had it not been for these issues experienced by so many.
Welcome to the world of Nexii! You'll be getting plenty of updates for the next 3 years.

Just unpacked mine tonight which took 2 OTA's straight from the box! I love Nexus and Google for the no hassles, no frills OTA's that come with carrier devices.

Some Bad News on the Kitkat Update

Hi All...I don't want to be the bearer of bad news but...
According to a Sony Representative, he said that our phone [ Xperia SP ] won't be receiving the much awaited "KitKat" Update
you can check it out for yourself right here

Note: That translates to "I got confirmation from Sony that the Xperia SP won't be receiving the Kitkat update"
This is one of the reasons why I am getting the Z1c I mean Sony always forgets the Non-Flagship phones
I mean look the Galaxy Nexus has a KitKat Update!!! and ours doesn't?
already posted
Already posted and you have to believe that we can't trust these man. I remember one of them said that we will have Xperia Windows Phone almost year ago and till now, SONY still don't use Windows Phone OS.

so what the fu..ss?
Direct quote from the article listed in OP
"Once such thread from 18 February 2014 was asking about the availability of the Android 4.4 KitKat"
That was weeks ago. It's still listed under investigation, so honestly, I wouldn't put too much weight on this post. That was almost 2 months ago and no official word. Yes, that person later said that he/she got "confirmation", but from who? If it were true, the websites would be updated.
We'd all be best to stop speculation and rumors to wait until Sony's press officially says something through their proper channels, not an AMA on some random site.
Yeah it was written on april 1st lol

I don't mind if we don't get Kitkat, but i wish they at least fix install lag in 4.3.

Verizon OTA to 5.0 or greater.

Will it ever happen? FU Verizon. :good: Droid Turbo Users Good Luck. Notice How This Forum Turned Into The Moto Maxx Forum.

I give it 6 hours before this is locked.
Hoff, these forums depend on users to get momentum. It is unfortunate that the community surrounding the turbo hasn't taken off. That being said, adding comments like this, among others about wanting to switch to moto x, vzn sucks, and how it has been taken over by maxx.... Simply aren't helpful.

It's only a matter of time as the device proliferates tech circles someone will eventually crack/ obtain boot loader keys and we will eventually get root. Just a matter of time. The moto maxx is too similar to the droid turbo for it not to happen

Yes, but first Motorola has to fix the constant ART optimization problem both the U.S. XT1250 "Moto Maxx"/XT1254 "Droid Turbo" CDMA variants suffer from. Doesn't affect the "international" XT1225 variant, just the CDMA variants which are sold here in the U.S. Strange. But as Lollipop runs on ART, it's a big issue.
Discussed in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=58961882&postcount=227
2nd, at this point, they will probably go for 5.1, not 5.0. There's even been test leaks of the Nexus 5 running on 5.2, so that's out there too. But I think 5.1 is more realistic.
Useless thread is useless.
