Can you enter fastboot mode? If so you can flash recovery boot and modem files via mfastboot.
Then you can boot into twrp and restore the nandriod backup you hopefully made before flashing.

Yes fastboot is working. But i have Not a Backup.
Can you upload yours, from system Partition?

Here it is : https://www.dropbox.com/s/128cho2eu7359nz/TWRP.zip?dl=0
i have made an zip of the TWRP dir.
you must change the folder inside it to your serialnumer (you can see it if you do an "adb devices" or "mfastboot devices")
Also inside there is a log file, in this file there are 11 entry's where you must place youre serialnumer. find and replace on "CHANGE_TO_YOUR_SERIAL_NUMBER"
GOOD LUCK!

restore works fine after change the serial number
but android start fails.
on display it says "Starting Apps."

Please Help
I have the same issue. Flashtool thinks my phone is a D801. It boots normally for a few seconds and keep rebooting. Im Reading, dowloading and trying every method around since yesterday afternoon with no luck. I did replace the .dll you provided but i have a different error now, something like mismatch different files and it shows both files names. I just got this phone from a friend. it shows d801 tmo versión in flashtool so i think he was messing around with any tmo based rom (if exits). So flashtool does not let me flash the phone because of this(Think this is a 801 tmo)
I also tried lg suppor tool but it never download the firmware. It get stuck on downloading firmware or checking phone settings (something like that), I found my cell model on the back on the phone so im pretty sure is a SL980. So what comboof files i can use? Do i still can use the.dll provided? Do i have to rename something?(btw...i did and didnt work).
Any other tip? Did i miss something? I have no phone now so im kinda desperate. Thanks in advance for any help.
Sorry for any mistake, english is not my first language.

ok this is what i did to unbrick my phone in your same conditions, in some steps maybe i made some mistakes but i went to the fastboot mode and there i replaced all kernel files of ls980 to fix the issue:
first you have to proceed to back to stock your phone with the T-Mobile USA D80110C_1.kdz :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
now your phone is a full d801, it will boot the system but will be unstable, you must be fast to go to make the developer options and debug your phone, make it on plane and and charging mode, maybe you will be able to do it after some reboots, u must insist.
download the ioroot11 program to root your device, remember always that is unstable, your device will be recognized for not long time, so you have to open the ioroot program often until it recognize your device and root it with the program.
after this step, if your phone is rooted but is still too much ustable to use the adb command (i tried to sideload and push the recovery but it always made me a sideload error), download this program:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2633941
is a simple tool to flash the recovery, it worked in my case, you have to install the recovery of the d801, in my case the philz recovery worked, if everything will be right, you will flash the recovery.
When i was inside the recovery i tried to flash the justin sprint t mobile through the sideload command but it didn't work, same with cm11, i flashed the ls980twrp.zip and when i tried to go to recovery again i was in fastboot.
from fastboot i used the command fastboot erase to erase the partitions: aboot, boot, dbi, laf, misc, persist, recovery, rpm, sbl1, tz.
to erase you must use the command fastboot erase aboot aboot for example, to erase the boot you must repeat boot(fastboot erase boot boot) and so on.
after erased all files i flashed the partitions of ls980:
http://downloads.codefi.re/autoprime/LG/LG_G2/LS980/Stock_Firmware/zv7_partitions
cmd fastboot flash aboot aboot and so on, (i didn't flashed the primaryGPT).
when i flashed all these files i pushed power volume+ and i was in upgrade firmware, so i went back to stock with zv7tot and dll..
it wasn't simple to find a way to back to stock, i guess to made some mistakes but i fixed my issue in this way, i am responsible of what i do with my phone, i cannot guarantee the same results with the others

if you can go to twrp you can flash with adb, i wasn't able to go in recovery, just download with the d801 firmware, that explains why it was complicated

you gotta go do device drivers and your device will show up as some unknown device so you install the adb devices for your phone and then you should get adb to show.

[Root any Moto G] with screenshots [Simple Method|Well Explained]

Hi...
This is the tutorial to root any Moto G
To root any Moto G, three basic steps need to be followed... you can either do them manually or use a tool do them for you. It is advised to follow them manually so that if there's some bug in the tool you don't get into any trouble.
CAUTION - You will lose all data and files so better back them up.
For Google Play edition devices, the process is same and only the recovery.img file is different. For GPe CWM Advanced Edition recovery go here https://goo.im/devs/philz_touch/CWM_Advanced_Edition/ and select falcon_gpe and download the latest one.
For AT&T and Verizon models don't do anything written above. Just download the Towelroot app. Its a one click root app and doesn't require a PC. Itis trustworthy but is not guaranteed to work but you must give it a try since it won't do any harm and claims of never bricking a phone. Please reply with the result and your android and kernel version. It will probably not work on phones build after June 3 but you can give it a try. You can download it from the website https://towelroot.com
The three steps are :-
1) UNLOCKING THE BOOTLOADER
2) FLASHING CUSTOM RECOVERY
3) INSTALLING SuperSu.zip FILE THROUGH RECOVERY. (SuperSu is acknowledge as the best app to give superuser and root rights)
UNLOCKING THE BOOT LOADER - The instructions to unlock the boot loader are given in the official Motorola website here https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/standalone/bootloader/unlock-your-device-a . Don't be scared by their warnings.
UPDATE - There currently seems to be an issue with unlocking the bootloader on devices running 4.4.4 though it works for 4.4.2. The issue is with Motorola and is that, the unlock code given by the company is showing an error. They are fixing it and it may take some time though you can give it a try as it won't do any harm. Or you can downgrade the boot loader to 4.4.2 and then unlock it.
As confirmed by the Motorola agent, the problem of unlocking bootloader on 4.4.4 has been fixed
FLASHING CUSTOM RECOVERY :-
To flash a custom recovery, you need these things
1) PC and a USB data cable
2) Android SDK ( developer.android.com/sdk/index.html ) For flashing recovery only SDK is needed but it's your wish if you want to download the ADT bundle. After downloading and unzipping the sdk , open the SDK manager and download only the platform tools for this.. rest is your wish..... and separately download ADB tools and fastboot and extract them minimal-adb-and-fastboot.software.informer.com/1.1/
3) Recovery.img file - You can either use CWM foum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2563599 or CWM advanced editionforum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2639583 or TWRP forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2561757. EDIT - If your phone had come pre installed with 4.4.4 then use only CWM Advanced Edition. CWM Advanced Edition doesn't make backup on XT1033
4) Motorola drivers https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/answers/prod_answer_detail/a_id/97326/p/30,6720,9050
5) Enable USB Debugging mode in your phone by going to Settings-About Phone and then tap the build number until you get the toast 'You are a developer'. Now go to Settings again and you will see a new Developer Options there. Go there and enable USB debugging.
6) Have at least 25% of charge on your phone.
After getting all these things:-
1) Download the recovery.img file to your PC and copy paste it to android SDK/platform tools folder.
2) Boot your phone to fastboot mode by first switching it off and holding the volume down and power button for 3 seconds.
3) When in fastboot mode, connect your phone to pc, go to the platform tools folder, there pres shifft and right mouse click simultaneously and select 'open command prompt window here'.
4) In the command window enter
Code:
fastboot devices
If it shows a number and fastboot then we are good..
5) Then enter
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
( where in recovery.img the recovery is the name of your recovery file. Example if the name of recovery file is ABC then enter fastboot flash recovery ABC.img)
5) Press enter and if the command prompt window displays the message okay then the recovery is successfully flashed.
6) Now just boot your phone to recovery mode through fastboot mode by following the on screen instructions and in recovery mode select Reboot System Now to reboot your phone normally.
(see attached images below for screenshots)
INSTALLING SuperSu
To install SuperSu :-
1) Download SuperSu zip file download.chainfire.eu/452/SuperSU/ and transfer it to your phone
2) Reboot to recovery via fastboot.
3) Select install zip and select choose from SD card.
4) Locate the file and install it.
5) Now reboot your phone.
YUP.. YOU ROOTED YOUR PHONE!
Download any root checker app from the Play Store to check whether your phone is rooted or not.

I looked into it just now... Currently there's an issue with Motorola with unlocking the bootloader when on 4.4.4...As people say, the unlock code given my Motorola is showing an error... You can still try it.. maybe it's even fixed by now.. Even if it fails there wouldn't be any harm.. Though the unlocking works fine with 4.4.2... You can revert back to 4.4.2, unlock the bootloader and then update to 4.4.4... The thing will be same as you will lose all data and files when unlocking the bootloader and so in reverting to 4.4.2.....(Remember, only unlocking doesn't mean you won't recieve updates, you won't receive updates only if you flash a custom recovery.)
EDIT - I added it to the OP. Thanks for bringing it to attention.

You have Verizon I see. The only you will probably face is unlocking the bootloader.. Oh, wait first let me laugh... lol...OK....At one point of time you couldn't unlock the bootloaders for AT&T and Verizon and then we were blessed by the 'one click root' app by the famous hacker geohot called TowelRoot. This app claims to root all the AT&T and Verizon devices with just a click. You don't even need a PC. Just download the app and in the app chick 'make it rain'. Though this is not guaranteed to work but must give a try as it won't do any harm but there's a chance of bricking the phone but you can easily recover from a soft brick by flashing the stock firmware.
Towelroot - https://towelroot.com/
P.S. - Please reply if you tried this and if it didn't work reply with your android version and kernel version. Well reply with your android version and kernel version anyway.
Edit- I added it to the OP

Yeah they say, if you on 4.4.4 and want to unlock your bootloader you have to flash the motoboot_testdrive.img file wich downgrades the bootloader to i think it was called 40.15 or so after that you have to unlock your bootloader and then flash the motoboot 4.4.4 stock image so that you have the actual one but for me it failed while i try to flash this testdrive image

So basically you want to downgrade the bootloader and then unlock it?
Well if you are on KitKat you can downgrade the bootloader by flashing 4.3 , then unlocking the bootloader and then updating to KitKat

every version of "HuaweiUpdateExtractor" which i have found, did not work for me! Because the PLK-L01 is missing in the device selection setup! Please can you give me a link off a working Extractor?
BTW: isn’t it enaugh, to solve the above described problem to flash the ori. recovery with fastboot or adb?
i would try:
1.) connect the phone to pc
2.) open the communication to the phone using adb-tool v1.0 ore otherwise with the command "adb
devices"
3.) flashing the recovery with "fastboot flash recovery.img"
4.) and than restarting the phone with "fastboot reboot recovery.img"
ore otherwise
4.) reboot the phone with pressing the 3 right key simultaneously longer than 5 sec. to restart flashing the update.app file.
is that way wrong? Please explain.

hey there, someone with better experience than me will surely help you out a lot better, but i can guarantee that the 0.9.9.3 release works
just leave "unknown (worstenbrood)" as profile, pick your update.app file, unpack it
personally i used the b121 rom, and flashed it on my phone with adb, more or less as you described, loading both recovery.img and system.img from update.app... "fastboot devices" > "fastboot flashrecovery recovery.img" > "fastboot flashsystem system.img".
this did the trick with me
at my first try i get only more than 25 nameless files! So i thought the procedure miss.
so my question now, how will they get there names? Than’ks for your reply.

Try to extract only these 2 files (system.img and recovery.img) separately.
For those who will kill their phones without backups:
1. you need to extract boot.mg (usually 10.boot.img) and system.mg (usually 14.system.img)
2. Somehow get into fast boot mode (from TWRP reboot>>reboot into boot loader
3. Connect the phone to the computer and (using platform-tools from Android SDK) from terminal:
fastboot flash boot 10.boot.img
fastboot flash system 14.system.img
fastboot reboot
The version of the ROM is of no importance

Thanks so much for the quick reply, just one question though, is this a Chinese Rom, or is it an English one?
I ask because the linked website is in Chinese.
Thanks again!

P9 lite l21 tottaly bricked

So this is what happened, I was on I MedroM v3, so I was there was a firmware in beta (the 7.0 update) so I've done it and now I'm stuck in a bootloop
, I flashed the Nougat recovery so it locked my bootloader
and removed TWRP so I can't even go to flash the old rom
again. I also can't get the product id now cause I don't have an OS installed, there's no way to pull it without it an OS. I have tried every existing method possible and nothing (including the sd
card method with update.app and bla bla bla)
So I can't flash files through fastboot It says " Command not allowed"
Can somebody please help me, I have experience with flashing and everything but I in my entire life have not seen that a phone company so big doesn't have a ******** flashtool
or some other way of recovering hard bricked devices instead of buying a new motherboard or something..
If somebody could help me I would be so grateful! Please excuse my language I'm very mad and frustrated, I need my phone for work and now I'm offline..
- Fastboot is available but the bootloader is locked
- No TWRP
- No OS Installed
Download a firmware you want, extract the update.app and put it in sd card folder. From the phone completely shutdown, press vol +, vol - and power at the same time hold it until the updater with percentage progress moving appears.. you should be fine after that.. ? i believe. Maybe try it. That's what i did on my case
No, It says "Software Install failed! Incompatability with current software version"
When I go to eRecovery t says that it cant connect to WIFI.
As I said i tried every known method and I can't get it to work. Spent my whole day trying to fix it, I'm out of ideas

I had the same problem, but with the L31.
First try to use https://www.xda-developers.com/how-to-install-twrp/
Then with the file i send you attached (MAF32)
- Fastboot flash boot boot.img
- Fastboot flash system system.img
- Fastboot flash cust cust.img
- and finally TWRP
After that i puted the first exctrated uppdate.pp in my memory card and with the "3 buttons" process i flashed it. Then i repeated the same process with the second one (http://forum.xda-developers.com/hua...droid-nougat-dev-build-huawei-t3488360/page33). After this finished, again with the 3 buttons i made a factory reset.
5 minutes later, it was working.
i don't understand how to boot to fastboot ? and where to get these img files i am really stuck here pleaase
You don't understand, In order to unlock the bootloader i need the product ID which you get by typing some number combination in the dialer. I cant get to the dialer cause I dont have any OS installed, cause the old was dirty flashed. So thats why i cant flash TWRP etc..
hello, i'm using Huawei P9 Lite VNS-L21. i tried to flash the stock nougat Firmware Which i actually did and it worked flawless! but there was a little problem because there wasn't any Software update option in there, so after that i wanted to downgrade to stock MM. Ok, this is what I would do if I were you. I would pick a rom in the development section, eg. RR. Then I would extract it and get the system image and boot image and fastboot flash them. To extract the rom, use SuperR's Kitchen.
Hope this helps.

Do you have a full stock ROM for this device (or full nandroid backup)? Do you have a working port of TWRP?
We are trying to get TWRP going on an almost identical device, the Ascend XT2.

Yeah, haven't got the time to create one out of the zips.
But i'll look into it and let you know.
Btw, i'll not flash but BOOT and see if it's booting. Much safer
EDIT : NOT WORKING
I'll try to make one soon
Could you try booting the stock recovery from the update (update.app / RECOVERY.img)? I extracted using the Huawei update extract tool.
I'm not sure if this phone has some type of lock on booting a recovery (without flashing) ...
If it's easier for you, I've uploaded the extracted RECOVERY.img here:

Seems to be a problem there. Let's look into that.
Hello friends this update serves the Huawei y7 trt lx3. Thank you
Sheesh .. does "adb reboot recovery" work either?
I flashed mine so I have no idea if that works. If it doesn't work for you, and you never flashed it, we should also try to adb reboot recovery2 & see if that also fails.
Thanks again for your help.

You're welcome.
As a matter of fact, as i look into my updates i logcatted from my phone (see OP), the recovery.img of 140 and 150 are the same size : 59032 (as yours).
But the latest 160, has a size of 62592. Check for yourself. Strange...
Anyway, i cannot fastboot boot stockrecovery like said, neither size 140 neither 160 . What works is adb reboot recovery as it is standard.
Btw, there is no such command as fastboot reboot recovery imo. Only fastboot reboot or fastboot boot recovery (either for twrp or your stockrecovery)
Also, what do you mean with : you flashed yours....what did you flash ? and why would you flash your stock recovery as you're on stock
Explain what you have done so far because it's unclear what you're doing.
I flashed various TWRPs of similar models as my recovery, including the two links I had posted in this discussion. I flashed them because "fastboot boot recovery.img" doesn't seem to work on our devices.
I still have the stock recovery in partition "erecovery" so I can adb reboot erecovery, but if I adb reboot recovery, I get the blue power light and black screen.
It's good to know that "adb reboot recovery" works for you. In the update packages, the erecovery.img and recovery.img are exactly the same file, so that's expected. It must be that the erecovery for the Y7 2017 is different than the erecovery for the Ascend XT2 H1711 :crying:

I'm in the same situation, I had a bootloader loop going for a minute there. Managed to get out. If anyone figures out the twrp situation it would be greatly appreciated.
I'm not going to wait time with all the one click root apps, considering the only computer available is an app and it seems everything is meant for PC at the moment.
Nice work guys... I'm still waiting for this device but learning in advance... Thanks
