Easy root Xperia Z2 5.1.1 Stock 23.4.A.0.546 - Xperia Z2 General

Hi guys I have found an easier method to root 5.1.1 (By accident )
steps
1)flash the ftf 23.4.A.0.546 based upon you device version(d6503 or d6502)
2)Download the latest custom kernel of Androplus(v62 recommended)
3)copy the same into your phone (.zip)
4)flash the boot image from the zip in fastboot to get recovery then install the zip copied earlier
5)download suView attachment UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip
6)install the UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46 in recovery and congrats you just got your phone rooted
I did test the same,got my D6502 version rooted:angel:
Credits
Androplus for his awesome kernel
give a thumps u if your problem is solved

This is useful only to those who have their bootloader unlocked...
Plus this method is not new... It has been around for quite some time

If you're rooted on previous version, you can make a backup of your TA partition, then do OP steps, then flash stock kernel, and restore TA... Easy

I just found the same as all the methods to root 5.1.1 found to be quiet complex
so this one may prove to be much simpler root method at present time.

Sorry, I am just a newbie in this.
I just wanted to know how can I flash the kernal? If you could explain the procedure
Secondly, in serviceinfo>configuration - it says 'Bootloader Unlock Allowed: Yes'
That means my Bootloader is unlocked, right?

I am rooted right now.
I just downgraded, unchecked the data, appdata and cache and flashed the kitkat rom but it caused bootloop, I flashed again and wiped all the data and cache in the flashtool and it worked.
Rooted, installed recovery and flashed the pre-rooted file from recovery.

Yes, but make sure you flash back the stock kernel, as you will relock the bootloader when you restore your TA and soft brick your phone if it's still on the advanced stock kernel.

ahh, so i should make a only kernel ftf of my own 569 firmware and flash only kernel before i restore my TA-backup. But, do i loose root if i flash my own kernel only of 569?
Ok i unlocked my bootloader and rooted my device this way written by OP. No problem, i got root
Then i made my own Only kernel from my orginal ftf and flash it to remove DooMLoaRD's kernel we used here and it worked i still have root.
Proof:
And now i'm gonna relock my bootloader using my TA-Backup, crossing fingers and everything else.
EDIT:
YES YES Got ROOT and with "Locked Bootloader"
Thank you very much MMX35, DooMLoaRD, kingvortex and DevShaft
PROOF:
Thanks
So after I officially unlock bootloader via flashtool, I followed this rooting procedure (Thanks btw), can I just relock bootloader using flashtool again without losing root? Thanks!

Please, Dont. Dont make a fool of yourself. I did not said that I have SP wit UBL or anything, I just asked if "this method" which was second, was "also for UBL" just like the first one. I don't know how does that implicate that my SP BL is unlocked. You've got yourself wrong idea and you aint gonna drop it pretending that you are right. And what know? Seems like you are trying to convince me that my BL is unlocked, because I asked bout one of the methods..

I don't want to argue with you, it's your phrasing that made not only me, but some other users find it confusing too. (Not saying who though.)
And yes, it should work for unlocked BL too, but if you've unlocked your BL, flashing of kernel is so much easier.

Backing up TA / DRM keys need root, which means you need to be back to Android 4.1.2 to get it, since unlocking bootloader will lose the DRM keys...

[DEV][Thinktank]Root 23.0.1.A.0.167 FW on Sony Xperia™ Z2? (Android 4.4.4)

Today, the long-awaited update Android 4.4.4 for Sony Xperia™ Z2 is released.
Rejoice!
But, installing this update will overrun the root access. Root access will be gone. So, how to root 23.0.1.A.0.167 FW on Sony Xperia™ Z2?
I'm gonna try the same old "Easy Root Tool" and see what happens. Any ideas would be good!
-EDIT-
Do you want to update your Sony Xperia™ Z2 to 4.4.4 but don't want to lose root? Don't worry, you won't! Click "here"
Credits to @niaboc79
Also, thanks to @funky0308 and @Envious_Data for their work
-EDIT 2-
I got root on 4.4.4 on my own, using this guide, credits @norti
@niaboc79 's pre-rooted ROM was based on Generic RU and the NC feature wasn't working on it. So I wanted to download a brand new FTF with my customization number and followed the steps on the guide.
ZBAM!
Got my own .167 (4.4.4) ROM (Generic DE) with root on my Sony Xperia™ Z2.
we will find a way...
but you should definitely put question mark in title...
we are lucky to have older fw (I'm talking for LB, z3 can't be downgrade and they will have problems to root 4.4.4. I believe we could use older fw to root fw and to upgrade keeping root...
I'll upgrade later today and will try few things...
In the title a statement and not a question !! WTF
I thought u achieved root, wtf

I doubt...
Sony patched all those security holes and all those methods should be updated.
Of course, someone should try...
Can anyone confirm he upgraded D6503 to 4.4.4?
Wouldn't downloading the update through PC companion and making an ftf/downloading an ftf and then pre-rooting the firmware work? We have recovery for the phone so a pre-rooted flashable firmware should work without working exploits right?

Mod edit
As a few members noticed, the thread title was a little misleading, as it seemed like there already was a way to root the new firmware.
I changed the thread title to one that shouldn't mislead people.
OP, if you have any problems with this, or prefer a different title, please send me a private message or quote this reply.

4.4.4 for D6503 isn't out yet.
Don't bother to download that, it'll say it's 167 but you'll download 314 and flashing will stop immediately after downloading fw.

You wouldn't even need to do that.
1) Root .314 firmware.
2) Install locked bootloader recovery.
3) Make a pre-rooted firmware of the 4.4.4 build.
4) Install the firmware through recovery.

Is it for the D6502 or D6503? If I was able to update my D6503 to 4.4.4 I would have done it but I have been plagued with the same problem as all the other D6503 owners. I'm just going to wait for a UK unbranded pre-rooted firmware (or a UK unbranded ftf, whatever comes first).

Does anyone know if this is the official update that adds recovery partition support? If anyone is on stock kernel, could you verify whether fastboot flashing a recovery and booting it with POW+Vol Down button boots into recovery?

If you don't wipe your data in recovery or flashtool than you won't loose anything.

I am running 5.0.2.
I tried in the past to flash, through recovery, the last firmware that was released before this. I downloaded a zip from one of the threads, and installed it through recovery, but after rebooting, I was still on 5.0.2.
If I download this and flash it in recovery, should it update my phone to this firmware. Or would it be better to flash through the flashtool? (to not delete the data, not to check the data in the wipe window?)
Thanks

[KERNEL] Z3+(E6553) Stock Kernel from build 32.4.A.1.54 with TWRP and DRM fix

Hey guys as you know a new build 32.4.A.1.54 with September security patch is out for our Xperia Z3+.
Hence enjoy the stock kernel with features:
1. Sony RIC- disabled.
2. DM-Verity- disabled.
3. TWRP- enabled.
4. DRM Fix- enabled.
5. Superuser / root- Not present. (just flash magisk its better and device also passes safety net).
6. Busybox- Not present
Note: This is tested by me and works fine ,hence I assure it will work for your single sim E6553 Z3+ also. But flash the same at your own risk,I won't be responsible if anything goes wrong.
Don't flash on dual sim device
Download kernel: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BycUX5axs3M4RGZMcE43U1R2WTQ/view
Download ftf file of the 32.4.A.1.54 rom: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BycUX5axs3M4WWJ6Q3g1ZndFcDQ/view
---------------------
For dual sim its already posted by bruno$0 at : https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z4/development/kernel-ric-disable-twrp-root-dm-verity-t3417078
So do I need to flash the twrp myself? I flashed this kernel but it's like nothing happened.
Can i do this on locked bootloader ?

You can flash the 32.4.A.1.54 build rom on locked bootloader with flashtool as this is stock rom but you do have to unlock bootloader to flash the kernel.
Unlocking bootloader is very easy, just backup your drm keys first and Google and learn the process.
Good luck.
Can i flash this stock rom with flashtool just to upgrade from. 33 android 7.0 to 7.1.1...as i am on stock firmware locked bootloader? IS IT PURE STOCK FTF FOR LOCKED BOOTLOADER OR A MODIFIED FTF?

Yes you can flash this with flashtool, this is a stock untouched ftf from official Sony's server.
But for your convenience while flashing untick all the boxes in the wipe section, so that you can upgrade to ver 7.1 without loosing any data.
Thanks alot bro..working perfectly fine on very new rom

Just install the flastool via exe and then copy and paste the x10flasher.jar in This pc>Local disk C>flashtool folder.
Hope it works, don't forget to like if it worked.

Go to system>apps>all apps>my Xperia and disable this and bootloader allowed will turn to yes.
But do remember unlock bootloader to flash TWRP.
Hope it works, don't forget to like if it worked.
Shot in the dark here. Any chance you could cook one of these up with the CDMA radio and UHD drivers for the Z4V?
