Xposed not Working on latest NIghtly
Hi Guys,
I am new to this forums thing.
Previously I was using lastest Nightly with Squid2's Kernel and xposed installed.... I was updating nightly everyday. Everything was working fine with me till I update to 6th Oct's Nightly.....
Phone is getting stuck at boot animation. After flashing NIghtly which was released on 5th Oct'15

Is there a way to remove the annoying 'your bootloader is unlocked' message at boot?

yes there is just flash the edited logo.bin i show how to do it in the root video

The “How to root the Motorola Moto G 3rd gen with Twrp recovery” video, demonstrated that you can boot to TWRP (vice flash) to install SuperSU, retain stock recovery, and continue to receive OTA updates. Does this mean a rooted Moto G 3rd Gen 2015 that keeps stock recovery can continue receiving OTA updates?

I was able to d/l the update, but had to unroot to install the update. If you're using SuperSU to root, it's a simple matter to use the SuperSU app and do a full unroot, then just root again after the update.

If I understand you right, no you would need stock bootloader for an ota. You can work with TWRP though without flashing it by using fastboot boot TWRP.img.

Thanks for confirming. My phone arrives next week. Still trying to decide to keep stock or go with CM. Prefer stock, but don't want a difficult process maintaining OTA updates.
Still hope Tomsgt expands more on his comment in the video IRT OTA updates.

I would wait on CM and take a hard look at stock Marshmallow when it officially arrives.

I would be very careful with this. Please do some research before flashing.. there has been some reports of soft-bricking. The file will not flash with TWRP or CMW and needs the stock recovery. Also, you will need to do some extra work to get a custom recovery working and root.

I am pretty certain that ship has sailed. Moto caught on to the exploit before and fixed it with an update, and KK is much more secure than any prior software. I highly doubt another exploit is going to be found.

Enjoy that official KK ota for 9.30.1 over that slow ass chinese server and stop trying to get the 9.18.94 to work.

Root and twrp needed

Seeing as the moto g 3rd gen was rooted in a week after release I was wondering if we could expect the same for this fantastic device? Cm12.1 would complete this phone for me!!
It'll come in time. It might take a bit longer as this phone isn't quite as readily available everywhere (such as in the US).

How do I remove TWRP recovery?

I just got my second hand Nexus 6p and the bootloader came unlocked and TWRP is installed.
The updates don't work when TWRP is installed so I want to go back to the stock recovery.
How can I achieve that?
Build number: MMB29P
Android 6.0.1
January 2016 patch.
twrp has nothing to do with not being able to take an update.

How to root Zenfone 2 with official Android M installed

Hey guys, I'm wondering how to install root access to my Zenfone 2 ZE551ML (Z00A) with the latest firmware update.
I saw that there was a way to do it by recovery but it was for the beta and I'd rather do it in some other way.
Does anyone know a working way to root it?
Thank you in advance.
need that too, and an unlock bootloader tool
Can we root android 6.0.1 without unlock bootloader? Warranty is important for this ****ty phone

I wouldn`t be so sure. I followed the steps and it didn't work. My bootloader is locked, as it was on LP. Some people say we need to downgrade, unlock bootloader, flash MM again and root, but I'm not in the mood to do it now. Some users on that thread say tethered TWRP should work on locked bootloaders, but it's not working on my phone, and I'm not the only one who reported the same.
https://www.search4roots.com/how-to-easily-root-asus-zenfone-2-ze551l-marshmallow-6-0-1/ do you think this will work? Also, will xposed work with mm?

There's a "Check root availability" button on that site. I clicked it and selected Asus, model z00a with Android 6.0.1. According to the results, no one click root available yet. I've entered my email address to be notified when it becomes available.
The title of this thread is very misleading. It's declarative rather than interrogative; I thought it was a guide or something.

not sure if this helps anyone, but I was able to follow this guys video and it worked for me. unfortunately i then tried to get xposed working and softbricked my phone in the process so its back to square 1 for me!

Thamks for the info. I didn't want to unlock the bootloader, but maybe it's the only way. I'll test it when I get home from work.
Regarding your issue with xposed, if you flashed twrp or can at least enter fastboot mode and issue a "fastboot boot twrp.img" command to boot into twrp, there's a xposed uninstaller zip you can flash to recover from the bootloop. I've had to use it before on other phones and it always worked like a charm.
MM Root + xposed ok on Z008
Hi Guys,
I have a Z008 and did the official upgrade to MM yesterday.
But before doing the upgrade, I unlocked my booloader while in LP (using the official Asus apk)
After the upgrade I got rooted + xposed using the same procedure than for beta MM (shakalaca method):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/general/android-6-0-beta-root-xposed-downgrade-t3404321
For those who want to downgrade safely to LP, Asus provides a downgrade image on its support page, and Z00A as well (didn't try):
https://www.asus.com/fr/Phone/ZenFone_2_ZE550ML/HelpDesk_Download/
Hope it will help

It really wouldn't hurt your phone more than it is now, would it? Maybe that's why the guide containing the procedure to root the MM beta rom specifically talked about the supersu zip beta version.

flashfire to update via ota?

Has anyone successfully used flashfire to push an ota update to their g4 plus? I'm currently on mm, rooted via SuperSU, xposed, elemental kernel, and twrp. In Any Case If You Want to Install an OTA you will need Stock Recovery and I Would Say if want To Upgrade to Official 7.0
Use the Fastboot Method as It Will Override all your Mods like Xposed and EX Kernel ETC. Otherwise you May Get Some Issues
