What happens if I try to reinstall the phone firmware through Kies On Tools tab using the number S / N ?, it will return to KitKat from lollipop without any problems?

Is it rooted? Custom Rom?

If you mean the restore firmware function in which you enter your serial no then kies/smart switch will restore the latest firmware for the model and carrier the phone is registered with.
There is a varying amount of A3/5/7 owners that have had issues when downgrading back to KitKat from Lollipop so research and then make your choice.

Yes I'm reffering that, but the cellphone I have is a A300H simple sim and I installed lollipop for A300H dual sim version xD. Are there a simple sim version of lollipop for my device? Thanks hehehe

No worries. yeah, if you use the restore function where you enter the serial no then kies will install the original firmware or the correct lollipop firmware for your device.
i think the firmware should work ok on either single sim or dual sim models. do you have full use of the device?

I have an A300FU model and i have downgraded to kitkat without issues but like i mentioned in a previous post that some A3 owners have had issues with bricking their device. It is entirely your choice but wipe data first if you do decide to go ahead. I went back to Lollipop in the end to be honest.

That is what i'm trying to say as all devices are different so could result in a brick or not. I was lucky and did not brick my device but i could if i reverted back to KitKat again. There is always a risk when flashing so the choice is only yours to make.

Anyway to Downgrade from 5.1.1 (COJ5) to 5.0.1 ?! N910C

can i downgrade from 5.1.1 N910CXXU2COJ5 to any 5.0.1 ?
If Yes , How can i do so please
Why i want to do so , i want to run MIUI
no one knows !
I'm having the same problem here. After the OTA update to COJ5, Odin always fail to flash any ROM before COJ5 (device display the message sw rev.check fail device 2 binary 1). Also, all the root methods that worked on COJ4 stopped working in this new version, always resulting in a infinite bootloop forcing me to reflash COJ5 in Odin. I even went to TWRP and completely wiped my phone (including system) but still coudn't install any previous version (installing the SuperSU through TWRP also results in infinite bootloop now). Did anyone find a solution for this yet? I'm guessing that this won't be a problem for just Galaxy Note 4....

Well, while [5.1.1 COJ4] can be downgraded to 5.0.1, [5.1.1 COJ5] can't. The problem may be exactly the bootloader that cannot be downgraded through ODIN. I don't believe that any common procedure will work for this downgrade. We will likely need a different approach.
I also read in some forum that while Odin won't work anymore, TWRP (or CWM) still will. So this leads to other two questions:
* Is there any place we can download stock roms in recovery format instead of ODIN's?
* If not, is there any way we can convert Stock Roms from ODIN's format to TWRP's?

Sadly no. I'm still believe that the best (if not the only way) right now is through JTAG.
Excluding direct access to the internal SD Card, the only way to overwrite the protected memory in the device is through the bootloader, which is protected itself.

Resolved "Emergency calls only" after updating galaxy A5 SM-A5000 duos to L from KK
Resolved my problem by downgrading to it's original Kitkat 4.4.4 firmware version A5000ZHU1ANL2. As far I've searched no one recommended downgrading as it could brick my phone, But I've no issue since using it last 4 to 5 days. downgraded using odin.
My phone Galaxy A5 SM-A5000 duos working normal while on kitkat 4.4.4 and after updating as it was showing
notification from couple of months since I purhcased. due to slow internet didn't updated and now got good connection
and updated to lollipop 5.0.2 , now when tried to make call it says not registered to network for both sim and says emergency calls only in notification area and at network provider's name.
need help to fix this issue.

same matter for me, updating to lollipop by OTA brought a very big problem for me, network ok but emergency call only, simcard slot N02 not detecting sim, so I downloaded the first kitkat and flashed my phone , ok for some of the operators, but not for others, this is a common problem then from A5 duos from CSC TGY or China

download the first kitkat J2 or the next J3, go to parameters/network/and chose 2G, this would solve the call problem, but if you want to use 4G, the problems will occur, but this would solve one part of your matter

In my case even I didn't remember what was the firmware or build number for my galaxy a5 duos SM-A5000 for kitkat 4.4.4
when updated to lollipop can't make any calls as it was showing emergency calls only.
I started searching for kitkat firmware for sm a5000 and downloaded, then odin and samsung usb drivers.
I also found that no one is recommending downgrading but I did and everything was as it is before. yes one
then when downgraded it went to loop of restarting which I was aware of before and cleared it's delvic and cache etc .
I suggest do proper homework before doing anything.
till today my phone is working perfectly and show that OTA update available my goodness .
these samsung phones are just a piece of crap. first time i got a samsunk ,

what I think downgrading or rolling back to correct firmware will solve you issue, you should download correct firmware according to your phone "model number", in my case it was SM-A5000, A5 duos.

usb drivers, following tutorials found searching internet and after installing cleared devic cache and reset. It worked perfectly

I searched for official rom and downloaded from sammobile.com . I do not flash my mobiles normally. But i did because OTA upgrade which is provided by manufacturer there something went wrong and my mobile was unable to find networks. Thats why i downgraded after searching and reading articles on net. For custom roms sorry I've no information, try to ask some senior people.

Downgrade from 5.0 to 4.4.2 not working?

Hello guys,
First sry for my bad englisch, im from germany and my englisch isnt that good
im trying to downgrade my Note 3 (running on N9005XXSGBPL6/DBT/STOCK ANDROID 5.0) to Stock Android 4.4.2.
I have tryed already like any available stock 4.4.2 roms, but Either my device does not start and stucks at the samsung logo and ends up in a boot loop, or it freezes after the first few seconds after the boot.
I dont know what to do, i have tryed to wipe the cache and the data but it still doesnt work.
I also tryed different USB ports and different versions of odin.
I really want to have android 4.4.2 on my note 3 because it runs much better than 5.0, has less errors and uses less ram.
Maybe someone knows a solution for my problem.
I'm not sure about your note 3 but some Samsung phones do not allow downgrading the bootloader from 5.0 to 4.4.2.
Were you able to successfully flash a stock 4.4.2 ROM with Odin?

Yes, it looks like the phone is still on a 5.0 bootloader. If the ROM and modem are on 4.4.2, this is probably why things are not working well.

Firmware change on S7 edge.

Hello everyone. I'm new here. I wanted to know if I can change my S7 edge (exynos) sm-g935fd firmware from UAE to India. I am currently on Oreo G935FXXS8ETCA Xsg which has bootloader 8 if I'm not wrong, but I want to install ins firmware G935FODD7ETA1 also Oreo which has bootloader 7 . Is this switch possible?
P.s. I want to change firmware bcoz I am not getting volte on my phone. I've tried a few things without any luck. And the only solution seems to be to change my CSC. Any help will be appreciated.

As far as I know you can't downgrade due to antirollback protection. I don't imagine switching firmwares would work very well at all

It not a rollback technically it's more of a sideways move but I might be wrong. Is it because of the older bootloader on the firmware I want to switch to?
Thanks for the reply.

If you attempt to switch your bootloader to an older version it can cause a hard brick putting the device into EDL mode but I do believe you can switch the system a bit
So there is no way to change the firmware? Is there any way I can get volte

You should be able to swap the system partition and CSC to something else as long as your not in any kind of Android Verified Boot
I don't know what that is. But I've only been using stock ROMs from ota updates. My phone isn't rooted either. I just want to activate volte on my phone. I would really appreciate if you could help me.

You're absolutely welcome! I'll have a search around Google and maybe point you into the right direction. I'm sure there is a flashable firmware for Odin (combo-firmware) that enables this
EDIT:
Because your on an International chipset (Exynos) you can actually flash a custom OS which supports the Volte. Just ensure you've taken the steps to unlock the bootloader through the developer options in settings (enable OEM unlock)
Don't unlock your bootloader and dont root your phone
if something goes wrong the EFS patition will corrupt and you are on U8
U7 combination firmware is not available and we dont know when will it will be available
you have to download U8 rom and flash home csc from U7 INS (latest software available for India)
it will enable Volte on your phone
make sure to tick nand erase when flashing Autoboot and f.reset time

Unlocking and root have nothing to do with the EFS partition. Sounds like you may have did something like modifying it and caused data to be corrupt and you never kept a backup.

Volte used to work before the Oreo update. And won't a custom ROM trip my Knox? (I use secure folder). I recently tried to flash a stock ROM with modified CSC file to get volte working on my S6 g920f. But it didn't work. It tripped my Knox and now my short codes don't work and CSC shows blank. You can wait for the INDIAN U8 STock and then flash it on your device with Home CSC which will surely enable volte
Remember With Nanderase f.reset time and auto reboot
Don't trip your knox i regret it!!
I would wait too if you trip Knox with a warranty then your SOL. If your lucky you won't be it's best to wait for the firmware
Well I am waiting till there is a stock firmware. But I don't think there will be an official update seeing as it's an old model phone and the official software support is only 2 or 3 years from the company. So fingers crossed. I might flash the ins version and try to make it work if I get a new phone and my S7 will become a spare.

You can, but you won't be able to make calls if you do. The KitKat upgrade changed things at the hardware level and the phone will report an invalid IMEI with older firmware.

I switched to LineageOS years ago because I prefer my firmware to be as up to date as possible. So I can't help you there.
