MiUI 7 is AndroidLollipop 5.1.1, and MiUI 6 is Android 4.4.4

Not like that. Actually as for now MiUI 7 not based on 5.1, its still based on 4.4.4 kitkat. But there is a lot of changes comparing both MiUI 6 and 7.

Hi guys i kust saw a guide on how to have optimus g lockscreen on cm 10 and i am wondering if anyone here could port it... i read the thread and it appears to be quite easy but unfortunatly my pc is old and keeps crashing D: pls port it i love that lockscreen

There are ROMs that are 4.4 already, but the 4.4 OTA is expected to bring a few more goodies (for developers only, like blobs).
No Google is taking their time with it

i dont recommend you in cosmic rom for sm-g900f
it has many bugs such as the wifi hotspot doesn't work , messages ..
use the viper its much stable and almost no bugs
I personally use LineageOS 14.1. Good battery life and performance.
I use RR 5.8.5 unofficial since ages with a custom kernel.
