Here is my first theme made for the Herald. I'm new to this so I've begun by modifying the default htc touch theme and made it darker (close to black) and changed it a bit. Hope someone likes it.

it's like the basic dark grey-black htc theme for touch with some modifications to look better (In my opinion at least).
I'll check it out. I've been looking for a darker/better looking version of that theme. I can't post screenies yet, but I'll give a review.

Oh wow hey this is great man! I LOVE the blue text!
What I think would really make it look better is if you could make the theme match Schap's 2G dialer. Possible make the greys look less monotone. I'm not saying add pinks and crap to it, but make it less grey and more black, with some grey contrasts to it. Hard to explain what I mean, but basically the text adds some much needed color, and I think the greys could be changed to do the same, but only staying withing the black/grey spectrum.
The only thing I do not like is the background wallpaper. Something smoother and darker would be nice, maybe mix in some of the same blue color you've got on the text with it. Dunno.
Does any of that make sense?
Overall, I like it, and am going to use it until you release another one.
You're on the money with this one. Taking what's already out, tweaking it, and making it better. Excellent.
Your theme looks fairly decent. The text color in the start menu is blue as well.

I'm thinking of making a new theme, but currently looking for ideas. Does any of you have some ideas about some color combinations and background pictures? I'll make the theme and then i will upload it here. Any sugestions are welcomed.
Get rid of the grey shades. I hate grey and black together. Very dull. Keep the blue text, it looks great! I think a background image with some planets, or stars, or nebulae or something would be sweet with such a dark theme.
Make it a space theme!

Ok, we'll go to space However, complex coloured images on the today screen may affect the text readability. I'll try my first space theme with a background image of the moon or some other bunch of planets laying arround.
The trouble with themes is that you can't satisfy all people because their different opinions regarding the ideal theme.

RVM, I didn't put it that way. If I were to make a theme for myself I wouldn't need to upload it and just download again. Also I wouldn't have any need to comment it with people since I've made it to best suit my needs.
On the other hand I'm not that much into space themes. Personally I don't think a 320x240 screen with lots of text on it, can express the complexity of space (stars, planets, some dust&stuff) or at least not in the same manner like your average desktop. However I'll try this (or other themes) in order to to find out if it suits other people.

Quick question Guys, where are you Guys placing the theme at. Exactly in which folder should I say. I downloaded a theme over the net and can"t figure out where to place it. Thanks for your help People...

Though a business phone,why won't have some wallpapers for X1? The resolution has to be 800*480. So guys get us some sites to get them. I tried Zedge,but they made some 320*480 walls,which is useless for X1.

I guess the wallpaper should really be minimum 800x800 px so it looks alright in landscape mode too.
There are some really cool images at http://www.interfacelift.com. You will have to crop them yourself though.

when i put a picture as wallpaper, while using, say, the xperia black theme (or any other theme for that matter), the image looks as if a grey coat is applied. Anybody know how to fix this?

I use PhotoFiltre Studio, its a free program and works great

set the wallpaper via Pictures & Videos instead. Here you get to select the portrait crop and the transparency level.

I took the liberty to give back for all the help I've got on this forum.
Maybe the best thing I'm good at, playing with photos.
So I picked out some photos I had and cropped them for you guys.

personally I like outline, because of its simplicity and it's not a bunch of icons thrown together and badly resized (no offence to everyone that does that, I know it takes a long time to make a theme).

the very best theme EVER for manila is so amazingly wonderful & beautiful & sublime & has rockets that make you take off into 7th heaven & when you get there you realize even the big dude upstairs (if you believe 'it/he/she/what ?' exists) is jealous of this theme (he's still running around with 2 beakers & a piece of string, whilst although nicely decorated with the help from a certain Michealangelo, really doesn't live up to a nice shiny spanking new HTC), then you flash it to the chirping cherubs & man (or woman) they would cream their jeans if they wore jeans but they don't but you get the picture (exciting isn't it !) & even the archangels are astounded, except of course for the fallen one as, well, he knows a bit more about these things than the upstairs crew & has impeccable taste of course (how did he happen to be there you may ask ? Usual monthly round table with the boss, discussions on the state of the universe, discussion on the stupidity of mankind & whether Britney will make another comeback soon, usual sort of thing), anyway, this theme is just so funky that even James Brown was speechless except for a 'yaow erh ugh" which is surely a good sign, anyway, this theme, what is it called & how to find it ?

does your Photon have 640x480 or 800x480?
Resolution is 320x480 but wallpaper .. should be higher, you move left and right sense or not - correct me, which is wallpaper size of Gratia - Liberty ?
my wallpapers is ok in 640x480. i don't test 800x480, is ok?

i checked few sites with Gratia wallpapers and they are 320x480
and about moving sense pages...i saw on market some apps which lets u have different wallpaper on each sense page
Here I took this from the phone now and he is 640 480 I thought 800x480 also it would be ok but I'll edit the first post I apologize to everyone

Like I said in my thread, my work isn't free for use without proper credits. I try not to add watermarks all over and I do not ask for donation when doing those, but just the rightful credit.

Request (apologies OP): Would someone be able to edit a picture for me so I can use it as a wallpaper? It's a very simply logo (hockey team I play for) I want the back ground to be black and the images size/resolution to be correct to use as a wallpaper on my N5. I've tried and when I set it as a wallpaper it is too zoomed in.

I really like Nexus 4 Dot on the Nexus 5 and, as long as you use one colour and slow it down a bit, it's nice and subtle.
Looks great set to white, then you get a nice fully-monochrome lock screen.
