Root mi2 lollipop rom with mac - Xiaomi Mi 2

Hi everyone.
So for the last 2 days I am trying to figure out how to translate the pc rooting steps to a working Mac/Terminal process.
I flashed the bootinsecure.img file in fastboot and sideloaded the BETA-SuperSU.zip. Question would be what is next and how?
Anybody out there who succesfully rooted lollipop with terminal commands?

flash super.zip
flash super.zip by the command or you can flash it in rec

Yoga 2 How to install TWRP and unlock Bootloader on Lollipop?

Hello
I had a problem with the update for yoga 2 so I installed kitkat and then updated it to a lollipop. Now I have Ver. S100255.
Now my question is how to install the recovery twrp permanently?
Do I need to unlock the bootloader? If so, how?
Please help!
Can somebody/anybody help me? Please
I would like to know that, too
or in other words: give it tested custom recoverys for the Yoga 2 ???
I can go into the fastboot mode
but I'm looking for a compatible Recovery
Is there a?
There is this http://forum.xda-developers.com/thi...oga-tab-2-830-1050-1380-twrp-2-8-7-0-t3296208
But I don't now how to do this.
I think you need unlock bootloader but I can't find a instruction.
If somebody knows how to install on lollipop recovery twrp, unlock bootloader and then root device please write a instruction step by step.

Did you type fastboot flash recovery twrp version. img? You need to include the full name of twrp recovery. If not, fastboot doesn't know what to flash.
Thank you for your interest and advice
platform-tools-latest-windows
but this version is twrp-3.1.0-0-angler and i write this
With the software TOOL ALL IN ONE the recovery appeared on the telephone but after the restart it disappeared
back to stock recovery
I thought
Reboot recovery
Flash supersu
What do you think?
it's ok
it's works
thanks for all

Flash ROM --> fastboot method/Install TWRP using Mac OS terminal (Fastboot ADB)

Hi guys, I am sharing these tuts on rooting and flashing ROM, which was successful for me using Mac OS (sierra) Terminal commands.
This is not my work. This is just to help Mac users
My Phone is REDMI Note 4 Snapdragon
Conditions for this method.
1) Bootloader should be unlocked
2) Mac OS (any version should work as its a terminal command, I used SIERRA).
3) Try these steps only if your are familiar with Flashing Roms and rooting process.
4) Superuser and TWRP recovery are available in this forum, I used those.
5) Fastboot Rom from MIUI : http://en.miui.com/a-234.html
This is step one
Link 1: setup your MAC for ADB
Use this link first, to set up your mac for ADB and Fastboot.

This is step two
Link 2: Flash Rom through Fastboot method on a Mac
http://en.miui.com/thread-582874-1-1.html
This is step three
Link 3: Installing TWRP
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4mUtvcASz9A
Once TWRP is installed, you can boot to TWRP recovery and mount the internal drive. Then copy the Superuser file to any folder using Android file transfer app on a mac and flash it using the TWRP.

NEED REAL HELP! MOTO X PLAY Bricked! :( :(

I just wanted to root my phone, but got stuck when I tried to flash a Supersu using TWRP recovery in my phone.
Things I did before trying to install supersu:
1. Unlocked bootloader
2. Installed twrp through fastboot adb
From then, I tried multiple different things and now I am stuck with these issues:
1. When I try to fastboot some firmware using ADB and fastboot, I get this message on every line "Pre flash Validation Error" and "Remote error" something
2. When I tried to install a rom through TWRP recovery , I get some other error there. Ill update on the error in a few hours.
Basically, I was using Android 7.1.1 when my phone was working properly. Please tell me what to do? I don't know what I am doing. My phone is stuck at "Unlocked boot loader" screen.
Please help. I have a MOTO x PLAY dual sim card version!!

Unlock bootloader then search moto x play twrp.img(3.1 or 3.2) file then flash magisk.zip.
Don't use SuperSU. Use Magisk 14.0 version stable and good.
First flash the zip file from TWRP 3.1.0 or greater, then install the Magisk Manager app.
I too faced the same issue with X Play/SuperSU. Finally i resolved the issue by writing some code in terminal.
But i prefer Magisk over SuperSU. It won't give any issue.
But if you want to use SuperSu. First write this code via terminal then flash zip.
echo SYSTEMLESS=true > /data/.supersu

TWRP Invalid partition name recovery

Hello guys, I have a Moto G6 Plus 4GB+64GB Brazil, and I'm trying to install the TWRP on it, I managed to unlock the Bootloader normally, but I've tried all the ways to install the TWRP and I can't, I've updated the Motorola Drives, the programs, and always do the commands in the CMD, displays the message: Invalid partition name recovery.
After that I can only connect it again by restoring the ROM with android 9.0.
I am trying to install to root it. I've tried to do the root installation without TWRP but without success too.
Does anyone know how to fix this error? Thanks

With this phone you need to first boot twrp via command: "fastboot boot twrp.img" , and then use a zip file to fully install TWRP. you can find this zip here on the forums.
NEVER RE-LOCK YOUR BOOTLOADER

From where did you get this twrp.img? Download the official build from twrp.me., they have a installation guide.
