Galaxy S4 Stuck at AT&T Logo - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshootin

Hi all. I have a rooted Galaxy S4 which, until recently, worked like a charm. Recently when I go to reboot, the phone does it's cycle, all the way down to the dimmed AT&T logo, but simply doesn't get to the lock screen.
2 days ago when I had this issue, on one occasion I put my phone in my pocket and about 5 minutes later I took it out and to my surprise it was on my lock screen.
Today, it ran out of battery and such, I haven't had such lucky flukes. I tried wiping the cache partition, taking out SD/SIM cards, trying to clear debris from the power button, etc. but nothing seems to work.
One particular thing I noticed while researching is that most people get stuck on the "SAMSUNG" logo, while I'm on the AT&T Logo. After being stuck on the AT&T logo for a while, pressing the power button causes the phone to vibrate for a little, and pressing it successively causes the phone to vibrate successively.
I know a factory reset will fix it, but I really don't feel like losing /all/ of my data.
Besides hoping for that lucky fluke again, I really don't know what to do. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

This was posted in the wrong location. It needed to be posted in the AT&T Galaxy S4 forums, not the International S4 forum. The people in the AT&T forums will be better able to assist you than we will.
The moderators will soon move this thread from the I9505 S4 forums to the AT&T S4 forums. In the meantime, take a look in the AT&T S4 forums as your question may have already been answered.

Samsung Focus hangs at logo.

I updated to mango a few days ago, and today my phone randomly turned off, and now it hangs at the samsung logo. The only way to power on the device is to remove and slip in the battery. Also, I've tried all soft and hard resets, formatting, nothing works. Never had an SD card, had the Focus for 2 months.

Something must've gone wrong. Something similar happened to me, you can try re-flashing (that also means you have to start from scratch: reinstall every app and make sure you sync ALL your media).
Read my story here.
Wanted to bump a thread since I have a similar problem. I attempted to run the CAB uploaded with the latest OEM updates for the Focus. The phone went into download mode, uploaded the cabs. Once it rebooted it started flashing the Samsung logo, 2 seconds, Samsung logo again.
The download mode flashed quickly and resets back to the Samsung logo. I suspect something went bad with the bootloaded/etc. Since I can't get into download mode with the key combo (the screen flashes triangle for split second and resets), would getting a JIG help at all in this scenario? Or should I consider selling it for scrap?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I don't think it's the bootloader.
You should try the jig, it's just a few bucks.
Sounds like a plan, does any Samsung microusb JIG work for this purpose? Almost all the ones one ebay state Galaxy series, etc.
I bought one for Galaxy S (I9000) and it did the job. There are also a few how-tos with cables and resistors on the forum, if you search, but I'd go for the jig, it's a few bucks...
Well, the JIG didn't work. It flashed the Samsung logo for a second and then resets, the cycle repeats endlessly. I guess its time to put it up for parts of fleabay. Sad
Thanks for the help though.

[Q] I need help!

So I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 from Sprint, which I rooted a couple of months ago and I haven't any problems with it until this morning. I woke and saw that sometime through the night my phone had rebooted and it was stuck on the Sprint logo screen. Naturally I took the battery out and tried restarting it. When it boots it goes through the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 logo screen, the the samsung logo scree, then sprint logo screen. It will stay on the sprint logo scree for a while then reboot. That will happen about three times then after that it won't reboot and just stay on the sprint logo screen. I've been looking all over the net on what to do and came up with nothing. Can anyone help me?
Check for the things you have made with it in the last few days

Its not good to rooted it, it will void the warranty. The note 3 itself has tons of features. Try to hard reset the phone. When Power off press and hold power, home and vol up down key. It will go to hard reset booting screen. Or google it. It will wipe out all data and go back to factory reset condition. From setting Factory reset will not help I think.
If this doesn’t work try reinstalling the firmware.

IMHO is more likely a hardware problem with the emmc (flash memory).
You might also want to ask on the specific Sprint Note 3 forum:

I'm sorry I thought I was in the note 3 forum under Q&A

Maybe Bricked? Frustrated. Guideance Appreciated :(

I'm fairly new to this, bear with me. I'll try to include lots of detail. If I'm asking or posting in the wrong area, just let me know. I've been trying to do this without any hand-holding, but it's been pretty frustrating and it's a lot to soak in and I think I probably got something wrong.
My S4 seems to be partially bricked.
I was given a retired S4. The phone is locked to Bell in Canada (It's an SGH-I337M, not a 9500 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_S4#Model_variants ). When it was given to me, it had Cyanogenmod 11 on it. The previous owner is techsavy and tried to unlock it, paid for several websites to give him codes, none worked and they refunded. This was when the S4 was new, he hadn't tried since.
I wanted to use it with Rogers. I was happy to just pay for an unlock code, but, it seemed I needed to be on the original firmware. So I learned how to use ODIN and downloaded Bell's original firmware. As suggested here: ( galaxys4root.com/galaxy-s4-stock-firmware/ ) and I picked the Bell one ( stockroms.net/file/GalaxyS4/SGH-I337M/I337MVLUAMDJ_I337MOYAAMDJ_BMC.zip ). It seemed that I needed to downgrade anyway to get most of the carrier unlocks to work. (In Canada, IIRC, there was no region lock, just carrier, but regardless it spent two years on a Bell plan).
When I finished using ODIN, successfully, the phone restarted but now appears to not complete booting or be able to flash a new ROM of any kind, at least by methods I've tried.
On powering up:
1 - "Samsung GALAXY S4" in curvy font.
2 - Blue swirly animation of Samsung.
3 - Do do do do doo dooooooooo, audio.
4 - Blue LED in top left stays lit.
5 - SAMSUNG in white on black screen stays there, pulsing with blue light occasionally.
6 - It stays here forever.
It never finishes booting, and it's a hell of a power draw the phone got hot after an hour.
When I try to boot into recovery, I get the blue text in the upper left, but it just reboots.
When I try to put it into download mode, I get a green warning about custom OS's, I can use volume up to agree or volume down to cancel. Either way, it just reboots.
If I try to power it down without pulling the battery, it just boots up, same loop as above, and stays there, pulsing the logo forever.
I can't get to any diagnostic screen, but maybe I'm trying the wrong ones or the wrong ways.
How badly did I mess up my phone?
I'd like to just use it as a camera even, if I can't get it to unlock so I can use Rogers, but it seems I've messed that up now too.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. If you need more detail, I'm happy to give it. (Sorry for bad links, new user, can't post links).
Download from Sammobile the stock rom for your model and flash it in download mode wit Odin

Replacment screen now suffering issues! :(

Good evening guys and gals please bear with me as i'm new to this forum anywho i've recently replaced my screen on my galaxy s4 after attempting to replace just the shattered glass and failed! went to go power on the phone for the first time with the new screen and everything was great................................................................. for about 5 minutes the screen has freaked out big time on the odd occasion will display properly most of the time its just freaking out. Ive managed to do a factory reset using the android device manager and that seemed to help it out for 10 minutes until it returned to freaking out. Could this be software related? As it booted up fine before the freaking out and is still allowing me to use the touch screen as i can hear the phone unlock. Or should i be contacting the person i got the screen from asking for my money back? My phone was completely fine running wise until i had to change over the screen. i hope you guys canhelp me out as im stuck in a rut as to what to do

GT-I9505 Turns off at the samsung logo [Solved]

Hello
I have a GT-I9505 which has served me well for the past year. It has had a plethora of custom roms installed and has constantly been rooted. However, today it randomly turned off after getting slow. I spent a couple of minutes trying to turn it on with the button, with no successful result. I then removed the battery and placed it back in. The phone then vibrated and turned on, before turning off after two seconds on the "Samsung galaxy S4" Splash screen. It also turns off when booting into recovery and download mode. I haven't changed the ROM in roughly a week and I'm left puzzled as to where this strange phenomenon is coming from.
If anyone had any advice, it would be highly appreciated. I will be open to all suggestions, but I'm afraid that I will have to replace the mainboard of the phone to see if it's a hardware problem.
Regards
Gynganynja
Edit: Fixed it. Turns out it actually was just a stuck power button, even though the button felt normal and I haven't had an sticking or locking issues. A couple of hits against my desk solved it
